Blah blah blah blah blah. You didn't answer the question, Pharisee.
Utah - Is this how you deal lovingly with you alzhiemer patients.

And I thought you were asking a rhetorical question? What did I do to earn my salvation?
I believed in Jesus, the cross and what He said.

Jesus will disown evil doers - I never knew you evil doers.
Jesus will call His own to himself - Welcome good and faithful servant.
Jesus will forgive - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us.
Jesus will give us eternal life - To those who believe He will give them eternal life

Now in the sense of does doing good earn salvation, no, it shows the work Christ
has done in our hearts.

I find this continues and endless badgering pointless and without merit. You know the
answers we will give, so why continue? Something must be driving you, it certainly is
not love or respect or care. Beware this does not grow and cloud your soul.

Oh I have plenty of sin,, I never claimed to be perfect. Like some in here.
Jesus went to sinners to free them from sin, so they are not captive any more.
Here is a brother who claims spiritual insight, to put others right, to be an example
to follow, someone to be trusted, even a rebuker from the Lord yet he declares he
is in open rebellion against the Most High and refuses to resolve these issues.

A blind guide. A least the pharisees had the sense to claim to be white and good
examples, these fellow thinks it is wisdom to stench of failure and say, come and
join me I really know what I am talking about.

I do not even have to claim someone is in sin to their shame, they parade it like
a badge of honour.

Jimbo43 all the antagonists you come across here, just add them to ignore. You can be a reactive person sometimes I will admit that, and guess what, they just use that against you. You shouldn't really say some of the things you have said in your reactions. And I think you will understand and respond in an understanding way to that. Am I guiding you or antagonising you? The answer is right there, right? We know when people are like that, and some people are stuck in their ways, which is sad really.

There is a group of them if you observe, I suggest adding all of them to your ignore list. You say some good things when you are not lured into an endless pointless argument with these people. Let them have the last word, they always will have the last word.

li guess i should just say goodbye to you

I said I was not perfect. I never said I was captive to sin, If I was captive to sin I would be defeated. I am Not defeated.

not hardly i have spoke Gods truth in love.. for hoping people dont become like me... i get to the point... so did Jesus..

Jesus said his word would devide... so i take the aprroach that i will also offend.. what i dont like is harrassment..

I may have given meat back... so i think its best to talk in the future...(when discussians become nasty i think its time to walk away... like Jesus did.. and then i think its best to just keep on being your self...and speaking his truth.. to work hard for your reward...ie dont be a lazy farmer... as lets just say this is displeasing to him...

Its also displeasing to think of your self as more highly than someone else... (southern baptist mentality......)

The fruit we are to bear has different aspects to it. One is character building: the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Peter adds to this: make every effort to add to your faith excellence, to excellence, knowledge; to knowledge, self-control; to self-control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness; to godliness, brotherly affection; to brotherly affection, unselfish love. For if these things are really yours and are continually increasing, they will keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive in your pursuit of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ more intimately.

So our life surrendered to God, and our works through faith are fruit, and so are people who come to Christ through us (Rom 1:3; Phil 4:17), and there is also the fruit of our lips as we praise God and witness to others (Heb 13:15).

These are good fruits, partaken of when aligned with the will of God.

Evil fruits would be the result of disobeying God, defying God, following self will in opposition to God's will, severing ourselves from fellowship with Him, etc. That is the fruit Adam and Eve bore and ate (lived). They followed the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life, in turning away from God after being in fellowship with Him. It is what we all do before being regenerated by the Holy Spirit of God.

Other evil fruits would be bearing false witness against others. It is interesting to see how often that type of behavior is rationalized and justified.

I respect my Alzheimer's patients; you, not so much. And for the record, I didn't get past your above sentence; anything else you said in that post went by the wayside. Carry on.

Yes I absolutely agree PeterJens.

However, it takes two to tango.

Just ignore them and carry on being you. You say some good things when you are not lured into these endless distractions of thought.

Some of these people have clouded their soul, it is plain to see because; they seem incapable of making amends or dropping the hatchet.

They want you to pick up the hatchet so that they can say to everyone 'look, he has a hatchet, he is bad, I'm a victim'. Maybe it is somewhat to do with having felt a victim in the past. That is the notion I get.

When we respond to those that plant these seeds, which not only try to defile you but collaterally defile the thread (and of course blame you for it), we can either water that seed by acknowledging it or we can ignore it.

It takes two to tango.

I find this continues and endless badgering pointless and without merit. You know the
answers we will give, so why continue? Something must be driving you, it certainly is

Here is the rub. If you do not do these things you will not enter the Kingdom
of heaven. This is not me speaking it is Jesus.

It is easy to joke around, wind people up, treat lightly things that hurt and
destroy people, but we are all saying Christ is our Lord.

This is where I get confused as to what compromises people have made.
Imagine the Lord is one of the contributors. How would you respond to
Him if he posted what he literally said? How would you answer?

How am I playing judge? Evil doer?

So odd is this accusation, and from a minister of faith, I fear for his soul.

My statements are general about attitudes and reactions to God.
I am judging no one, but to write these words are evil, sin, worthy of judgement.

Why would Jesus entrust in eternity anyone who cannot judge sin or justice correctly?
And if they cannot judge sin correctly in another, how are they repenting it in themselves
with any accuracy?

I do not have to pass any judgement in this situation the words themselves achieve it
alone.

What are we inside? How do we see the world?
What motivates us and brings us life?

Jesus and the cross.

Whenever the bite of the snake takes hold look to the cross, imagine it in
your mind and know Christ died there, shed His blood and laid down His
body.

This sounds like a mechanistic approach to life and issues dear to our heart.

I used to think likewise except God instituted it.
When the bronze snake was lifted up, and people got bitten, if they could
see the snake they were healed.

So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.
Number 21:9

Every day we need food, air, water, shelter, work.
Simple things yet we feel the problems in front of us are complex and
our issues deep. But God is our provider, He is the one who meets our
needs. He will make our ways straight.

The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.

yeah i know you can take it but what about those who cant. ?.

I know you are a friend but peter is also my friend,, and im stuck in the middle of you and him bombarding each other... i dont want to fall out with you or peter, and i really dont want to to get involved in anothers argument.

But works are essential as is asking for your daily bread... which is a daily choir,, just like following Jesus daily is a works. just like to believe in his words is also a works... the faith part is believing and working....

Now over here in england the majority of people are hard working individuals. there is only less than a couple of million out of work with a 65 million population... thats what you call the great british spirit to work hard and reap the reward,,, of being able to provide for there family...

Thjis is the same as Doing the christian daily choirs to work hard to protect yourself frome being tempted... and others...

This is just one duty of works..... to which i could quote at least fithty duties of christian work related duty if you want me to..:)

I've done nothing to earn my salvation, my brother, because there's nothing I can do to earn it. I simply give thanks to God for the gift of salvation He so freely gives to everyone who puts their faith in Jesus.
you will be judged according to your deeds so you must do Good deeds daily in order to remain saved... cause if you do bad deeds daily i hardly call that saved...(do you)....unless of cause you are bed ridden and unwell... or what ever... (and not a lazy farmer..) and you must also ask for your daily bread....ie not store up your bread from the day befor and think you dont have to ask tomorrow for some more... and thats biblical its in the story of the falling manner when they walked around the desert for 40 years....
