you rebuttal was to drag my name in the mud, post #22
not one bible verse to back up what was said in post .
I had asked again-

http://christianchat.com/bible-disc...ot-movement-messianic-jews-4.html#post3037903

ok lets start by reading post 19 again- tell me Pauls error in my post
and why you reject his writings and not believe then?

no straight answer or comment from you before about this post still.

-and again no reply on subject matter by post #61,
just more slander on peoples characters by you.
now you post slander on this thread, and no bible verses to backup again.

Do you believe Paul, and what he said, that I posted here or on #19 ?
or is this your time to ignore me again on this subject matter.
I am not going to spend all day answering your questions. I've already said that. If you post long lists of assertions, I am not going to go through every point and correct your misunderstandings, especially since you will simply reject the answer. I already know that in advance. We've been at this for a few years now.

Sunday was the 'day' in which Jesus was 'seen' to have been resurrected....this does not prove that He 'resurrected on that day. People/Christians put all their trust into what was ''seen'' they are ignorant of what really happened, when He really resurrected - which is only proven through Scripture 1Cor 15v3,4 !!! and not by any 'human say-so which christian religion erroniously rests on.

1 Corinthians 15:3-5 (ESV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,
[SUP]4 [/SUP] that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,
[SUP]5 [/SUP] and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

Matthew 12:40 (ESV)
[SUP]40 [/SUP] For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. {That is a Jewish expression, referring to the grave.}

John 19:31-37 (ESV)
[SUP]31 [/SUP] Since it was the day of Preparation, and so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away.
{The day of Preparation is always the day before any SABBATH. In Judaism you have the Weekly Sabbath on every Saturday, and you have HIGH SABBATHS that are not necessarily Saturdays. During the Week of Passover, the Seventh Day of Passover, which is Friday, and that IS one of the High Sabbaths, during which all the Rules of the Weekly Sabbath apply to that High Sabbath. THEREFORE, the day of Preparation was Thursday, when all the food for the High Sabbath, Friday, and the Weekly Sabbath, Saturday, had to be prepared. THAT proves Jesus was Crucified on THURSDAY, and laid in the Grave right at Sundown, so that it would not violate the HIGH SABBATH.}
[SUP]32 [/SUP] So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who had been crucified with him.
[SUP]33 [/SUP] But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.
[SUP]34 [/SUP] But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water.
[SUP]35 [/SUP] He who saw it has borne witness—his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth—that you also may believe.
[SUP]36 [/SUP] For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken.”
[SUP]37 [/SUP] And again another Scripture says, “They will look on him whom they have pierced.”
Matthew 27:57-60 (ESV)
[SUP]57 [/SUP] When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus.
[SUP]58 [/SUP] He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him.
[SUP]59 [/SUP] And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen shroud
[SUP]60 [/SUP] and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock. And he rolled a great stone to the entrance of the tomb and went away.

NOW COUNT, and remember a Jewish 24 hour day begins after sundown:

After Sundown THURSDAY, is the Beginning of Friday = FIRST NIGHT;
Followed by dawn Friday = FIRST DAY.

After Sundown Friday, is the Beginning of Saturday = SECOND NIGHT;
Followed by dawn Saturday = SECOND DAY.

After Sundown Saturday, is the Beginning of Sunday = Third NIGHT;
Followed by dawn Sunday = THIRD DAY.

AND YES, the Jews would count even a few minutes of that day to be equal to fulfilling the prophecy of a third day.

I highly suspect that the violent earthquake happened at the very moment HE ROSE FROM THE DEAD.

Matthew 28:1-7 (HCSB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] After the Sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to view the tomb.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] Suddenly there was a violent earthquake, because an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and approached ⌊the tomb⌋. He rolled back the stone and was sitting on it.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] His appearance was like lightning, and his robe was as white as snow.
[SUP]4 [/SUP] The guards were so shaken from fear of him that they became like dead men.
[SUP]5 [/SUP] But the angel told the women, “Don’t be afraid, because I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] He is not here! For He has been resurrected, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.
[SUP]7 [/SUP] Then go quickly and tell His disciples, ‘He has been raised from the dead. In fact, He is going ahead of you to Galilee; you will see Him there.’ Listen, I have told you.”

I am not going to argue this point for a long time, but I disagree, and I used to hold a similar view in the past.

The Scripture says:

Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. (John 19:31)

It was a weekly Sabbath, but was also a high day. In other words, the high day, which was Nisan 15, was also a weekly Sabbath.

Armstrongites, of which I was one, held a similar view as you presented except claiming the first day was Wednesday. I find it extremely AWKWARD to read Scripture in that manner. It may resolve the "three days and three nights" Scripture of Matthew 12:40, but it makes the gospel accounts almost unintelligible as you have to believe that the writer switches between annual high day and weekly Sabbath without making any mention of the difference.

Matthew 12:40 does say "three days and three nights" but many other Scriptures say "on the third day" and there are many examples on how this phrase basically refers to "the day after tomorrow", even in reference to the crucifixion/resurrection...so my position is that our understanding of Matthew 12:40 is incorrect.

There is a small booklet written by Ralph Woodrow called "Three Days and Three Nights" that explains what is essentially my position on this issue. Ralph used to teach the Wednesday-Saturday view but changed his mind on that issue. It is just much easier to more fully reconcile ALL the Scriptures on the issue.

I suggest that anyone who doubts it try to read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and see which view seems most coherent. I will suggest to you that the Friday crucifixion - Sunday resurrection is the most coherent view, despite the assertion of anti-holiday people. I would also suggest that some anti-holiday people often try to assert this is a central issue, and those who disagree are in essence denying Christ's Messiahship, as the proof demands a three day and three night scenario such as the Wednesday - Saturday view. Their assertion that it is a central issue reflects their unsound, legalistic, nit-picking thinking. Even if I'm wrong on it, it doesn't affect my salvation one whit, and I still believe Jesus was resurrected from the dead.

I'm not addressing the poster on some of these remarks. My guess is he isn't one of the anal anti-holiday people as he listens to sound teachers according to his profile :)

MY MISTAKE, IT WAS NOT SEVENTH DAY OF PASSOVER, BUT RATHER NISAN 15 is the FIRST DAY OF THE PASSOVER that is considered a HIGH SABBATH. Interestingly, this site points out that the Passover Lambs were always slaughtered between 3 P.M. and 5 P.M on NISAN 14 the Day of Preparation:

Three Days and Three Nights -- When Did Yeshua Die?

The year Jesus was Crucified was in the month of Nisan, the 15th Day fell on a Friday. WHY IS THAT IMPORTANT? NISSAN 15 is ALWAYS the HIGH SABBATH of the Festival of Unleavened Bread (Passover). Nisan 15 can fall on any day of the week, depending on the Year. In the year 33 A.D, Nisan 15 fell on a Friday (April 3, by our calander), and NISAN 15 for thousands of year has been celebrated as a HIGH SABBATH. Therefore JESUS was Crucified on NISAN 14.

. . .

Daniel 7:22 (KJV)
Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High;
and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

Daniel 7:18 (KJV)
But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom,
and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

-a person would have to be inmortal not human

. . .

You almost got that one right. A resurrected saint does not stop being human, he just stops being mortal.

To be right, you would have had to phrase that:

-a person would have to be an immortal human and not a mortal human.

1 Corinthians 15:53-55 (ASV)
[SUP]53 [/SUP] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and
this mortal {human} must put on immortality.
[SUP]54 [/SUP] But when this corruptible {body that ages and decays} shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
[SUP]55 [/SUP] O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting? {This line only makes sense when it is the mortal body that puts on immortality.}

NOTICE: IT DOES NOT SAY CEASES TO BE A BODY AND CHANGES TO AN IMMORTAL SPIRIT.

The MORTAL Body puts on immortality.

THE CHURCH has a different Covenant then the Covenant between GOD and ISRAEL, therefore a Different Sign of the Covenant.

Exodus 31:12-13 (ESV)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] And the LORD said to Moses,
[SUP]13 [/SUP] “You are to speak to the people of Israel and say, ‘Above all you shall keep my Sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I, the LORD, sanctify you.

Exodus 31:16-17 (ESV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever. [SUP]17 [/SUP] It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’”

Exodus 35:3 (HCSB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Do not light a fire in any of your homes on the Sabbath day.”

Israel's average January temperature is 55 degrees Fahrenheit.

t t t
Luke 22:20 (NASB)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.

Hebrews 12:24 (NRSV)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

Hebrews 7:22 (ESV)
[SUP]22 [/SUP] This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant.

Galatians 6:2 (HCSB)
[SUP]2 [/SUP] Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Romans 13:8-10 (NRSV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You shall not covet"; and any other commandment, are summed up in this word,
"
Love your neighbor as yourself."

[SUP]10 [/SUP] Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.

CHECKMATE!
Hmmm, so you actually do NOT understand what the New Covenant is? Let's see what the New Covenant is and also who it is made with...

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

The New Covenant is made with Israel and Judah.

Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

The problem with the 'Old" Covenant was not the Covenant or the Law, the problem was with the people...

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith...

Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

The word for Law here is Torah. The New Covenant is the writing of God's Law in the hearts and minds of those He calls and brings under the bond of the Covenant...

Eze 20:37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:

Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

This was predicted prior to Christ's first coming. How about now?

Heb 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
Heb 8:2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

Jesus Christ and His present day role.

Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

The New Covenant...

Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

So we see the New Covenant is not the doing away with the Law but the changing of the human heart to be able to live by the Law.

Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

The Law is still in force and in the verses that follow this passage, Christ shows what the New Covenant really is...

Mat 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
Mat 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Mat 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Mat 5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
Mat 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

And so on, you can read Mat 5, 6 and 7 and the New Testament and see that Christ magnified the Law...

Isa 42:21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

So when speaking of the New Covenant, perhaps a little study in to what the New Covenant REALLY is might be in order.

You almost got that one right. A resurrected saint does not stop being human, he just stops being mortal.
You got that one completely wrong...

1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

We will no longer be human, we will be like God.

Honestly i myself am tired of all this "keep the sabbath" and "which day is the correct sabbath". I havent been to church in well over a year. I dont keep one "special" day for God. To me every day is the sabbath...the Lords day. I live every day for the Lord.

Keeping a "special" day for the Lord doesnt make you "holy". It is how you live every day, every minute of you life. The OT covenants are gone. We are now in the New covenant. We are to keep Gods moral laws not His cerimonial laws now.

Yeah there will be an uprage against my post but i am not worried about that. I am more worried if i am living for the glory of the Lord not whether i keep a certain day "holy". To me every day is Holy because He is Holy.

Live for God every day and then you will know what it means to "sabbath" in the Lord.
My paraphrase: Dear woman, the time is coming when it will not matter where you go to worship God because God seeks those who will worship Him in spirit and truth.

This means inwardly, not outwardly. It isn't necessary to go to any location to worship in spirit. The presence of God is not in any location built by a man - the Kingdom of Heaven is inside you if you have received His Spirit. It is not even necessary to rise from the chair you are sitting in to worship in the true temple - the temple built not by human hands but by His Spirit. :)

[SUP]40 [/SUP] For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. {That is a Jewish expression, referring to the grave.}

{The day of Preparation is always the day before any SABBATH. In Judaism you have the Weekly Sabbath on every Saturday, and you have HIGH SABBATHS that are not necessarily Saturdays. During the Week of Passover, the Seventh Day of Passover, which is Friday, and that IS one of the High Sabbaths, during which all the Rules of the Weekly Sabbath apply to that High Sabbath. THEREFORE, the day of Preparation was Thursday, when all the food for the High Sabbath, Friday, and the Weekly Sabbath, Saturday, had to be prepared. THAT proves Jesus was Crucified on THURSDAY, and laid in the Grave right at Sundown, so that it would not violate the HIGH SABBATH.}

After Sundown THURSDAY, is the Beginning of Friday = FIRST NIGHT;
Followed by dawn Friday = FIRST DAY.

After Sundown Friday, is the Beginning of Saturday = SECOND NIGHT;
Followed by dawn Saturday = SECOND DAY.

After Sundown Saturday, is the Beginning of Sunday = Third NIGHT;

My 8 year old grandson can count this without a problem.

Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

How long?

Joh_2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

Within three days.

Mat 17:23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

On the third day.

Mar 8:31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

After three days

Now, how long is a day?

Joh 11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
Joh 11:10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

Here Jesus Christ Himself plainly shows us that the daylight portion of a day is 12 hours and then there is night time. So a day really is 24 hours.

There is only one time period that can satisfy these conditions, in three days, on the third day and after three days. That time period is exactly three days and three nights. 72 Hours.

Instead of convoluted arguments that try to twist the plain statements of Jesus Christ, why not just believe the One you claim to worship? He said He would be in the tomb three days and three nights and He was.

the lost century in history

as Edward Gibbon wrote in
The History of the decline and fall of the Roman Empire

"The scanty materials of ecclesiastical history seldom enable us to dispel
the cloud that hangs over the first age of the church .

Jesse Lyman Hurlbert in
The story of the christian church

the age just after the book of acts he calls "..the age of shadows.."

"of all the periods in the churches history, it is the one about which we know
the least about. For fifty years after St. Paul's life a curtain hangs over the church,
through which we strive vainly to look;

William McLaughlin in
The Course of Christian History

"But Christianity itself had been in the process of transformation as it progressed
and at the close of the period was in many respects quite different from the apostolic
Christianity."

Samuel G. Green in
A handbook of church History

"The thirty years which followed the close of the New Testement canon and the
destruction of Jerusalem, are in truth the most obscure in the history of the church.
When we emerge in the second century, we are to a great extent in a changed world."

William fitzgerald in
lectures on ecclesiastical History

"over this period of transition, which immediatly succeeds upon
the era properly called apostolic, great obscurity hangs."

Philip Schaff in
History of the Christian Church

"The remaining thirty years of the first century are involved in mysterious darkness,
illuminated only by the writings of John. This is a period of church history about which
we know least and would like to know most."

"Simon Magus unquestionably adulterated Christianity with pagon ideas and practices
and gave himself out for an emanation of God."

"This heresy in the second century spread over the whole church, east and west,
in the various schools of agnosticism."

-

--Satan was doing everything he could to destroy the Work of God, and in
little more than two decades, God’s people were turning to another gospel.

-this was the time of the Roman Empire , and in around 117 AD, at its greatest extent.
streched from Britian clear to modern day Turkey, and it ruled with the rod of iron.

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you
into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years
I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
Don't confuse 'em with facts and truth, their mind is already made up. No, really, continue to give them these truths, someone may actually wake up, open their Bible and see the truths contained in it.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to prove-all again.

I guess I am not the only one that sees what Sparkman is really up to.
john832 and prove-all follow the kooky teachings of Herbert Armstrong. He was the founder of Worldwide Church of God. Amongst other things he taught that the redeemed will become, literally, God in the same sense as God the Father and Jesus Christ. There are still Armstrongite organizations. Living Church of God, Restored Church of God, Philadelphia Church of God and United Church of God are some of the cult's associated with Armstrongism. Armstrongites call Christians "so-called Christians" and consider them to be unsaved. They claim to have the true faith. Armstrong himself likely molested his own daughter; the issue was brought up during his divorce proceedings.

This is called a "guilt by association" ad hominem attack and weakens your position. What about the subject matter? I'm sure they're wiling to reason within the context of scripture.

I don't know who Armstrong is but studying scripture with an understanding of the culture in which it was written shows that Christ was born on a (High) Sabbath, then died on Passover, was in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights like Jonah was in the fish (the ONLY sign he said would prove he was the Messiah), and then finally was born-again on a Sabbath. The Lord of the Sabbath was resurrected on a Sabbath.

This allagation has been refutted and proven false , you where shown that before

Did w. Armstrong practiced incest with his own daughter?
pdf. Herbert W. Armstrong Did NOT Commit Incest!

There is some harsh words in here directed at people who spread lies like sparkman,
there is no proof he did do this, if any one cares to read the truth about this subject

john832 himself defined his beliefs about becoming God in an earlier post on this thread. People deserve to know that john832 and prove-all follow his cultic teachings.

I outline the teachings here:

http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/114577-beware-armstrongism.html

They should have been banned in the past, as they continually promote Armstrongism here. Armstrongism is worse than Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses, and they would be routinely banned here. Armstrongites deny the Trinity, claim they will be God in the resurrection, claim they are the "true faith" and recognized Christianity is a false belief, deny justification by faith alone and claim that Sabbath, festivals and clean meat laws must be observed as REQUIREMENTS OR CONDITIONS of salvation. Their position regarding Christian holidays being pagan is a minor aspect of their aberrant beliefs.

I was a member of the Armstrongite cults so I know the teachings and how they deviate from Christianity. Both of them have engaged me in degrading remarks about me leaving Armstrongism. I have no issue with telling people where they are coming from.

They have not been disproven. Armstrong never denied the charge publicly, neither did he face the church in regards to these charges, because he was "the Apostle" and was immune from church discipline. Most members didn't even know about the charge when it happened.

I encourage everyone to check out this paragraph from Armstrong's writings:
-So, the Kingdom of God is simply the begotten and finally born family of God.

Ephesians 3:15 (KJV)
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

-There was the Word and the Word was with God.

the Word was [with] God John 1:1 (KJV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was [with] God,
and the Word was God.

-They are going to produce a family.

Galatians 4:26 (KJV)
But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Luke 3:38 (KJV)
Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth,
which was the son of Adam, which was [the son of God].

-They were the beginning of a family of two great personages.

2 beings togeather in agreement before time even began.
God and the Word where like a family - became the Father and Son.

-And out of matter — nothing but plain matter —

[for dust thou art], and unto dust shalt thou return

Genesis 3:19 (KJV)
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground;
for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Genesis 2:7 (KJV)
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils [the breath of life]; and man became a living [soul] . H5315

H5315
נפשׁ
nephesh
neh'-fesh From H5314;
properly a breathing creature, that is, animal or (abstractly) vitality

The word nephesh literally means “life of animals,” referring to physical life
and not spirit -[the soul] is physical, composed of matter, and can die.

Genesis 6:17 (KJV)
And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy
all flesh, wherein is [the breath of life], from under heaven; and every thing
that is in the earth shall die.

Genesis 7:22 (KJV)
All in whose nostrils was [the breath of life], of all that was in the dry land, died.

4(The Spirit of God) hath made me("Job a man"),
and [the breath of ]the Almighty hath given me life.

-but with a spirit put into that matter

all people has what the bible calls [a spirit in man]

The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord,
which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation
of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

Job 32:8 (KJV)
But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of
the Almighty giveth them understanding.

this is what makes us so much more smarter then mere animals.

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was:
and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

-and finally the Spirit of God to join with that spirit in man,

5For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized
with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

35And the angel answered and said unto her, (The Holy Ghost) shall come upon
thee, and (the power of the Highest) shall overshadow thee: therefore also
that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called (the Son of God).

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; (mine elect), in whom my soul delighteth;
I have put (my spirit upon him): he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:
and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea,
and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Act 1:8)

-God is going to reproduce Himself; out of such worthless things as you and me.

Ecclesiastes 3:18 (KJV)
I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might
manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

Hebrews 1:5 (KJV)
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have
I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

Psalms 82:6 (KJV)
I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

John 10:34 (KJV)
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man,
that thou visitest him? Psalms 8:4 (KJV)

1 Corinthians 15:46 (KJV)
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural;
and afterward that which is spiritual.

18Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth,
that we should be [a kind of firstfruits of his creatures].

11But if (the Spirit of him) that (raised up Jesus) from the dead (dwell in you),
he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also will quicken your mortal
bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Romans 8:19 (KJV)
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for
the manifestation of the sons of God.

Romans 8:14 (KJV)
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Philippians 2:12 (KJV)
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only,
but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Psalms 25:14 (KJV)
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

1 Peter 3:15 (KJV)
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to
every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

-Yes, you and I are pretty worthless in and of ourselves,
but do you realize how great we can be?

1 Corinthians 2:9 (KJV)
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into
the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Isaiah 64:4 (KJV)
For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear,
neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that
waiteth for him.

30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage,
but are as the angels of God in heaven.

-We are the very ones [God has called] to become His sons,
to be born of Him and to become very God ourselves.

Matthew 22:14 (KJV)
For many are called, but few are chosen.

1 Corinthians 1:26 (KJV)
For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men
after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

1 John 5:19 (KJV)
And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

Spirit-begotten humans (Romans 8:14; 1 John 3:1; 2 Peter 1:4).

1 Corinthians 15:50 (KJV)
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit
the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

are you still flesh and blood today?

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:
he that believeth not God hath made him a liar;
because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

-Oh, how wonderful that is, and that's something that no church understands,
no church believes, no church teaches it.

Revelation 10:7 (KJV)
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin
to sound, [the mystery of God] should be finished, as he hath declared
to his servants the prophets.

Revelation 12:9 (KJV)
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan,
which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels
were cast out with him.

1 John 3:10 (KJV)
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever
doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

1 John 3:8 (KJV)
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy
the works of the devil.

Luke 4:6 (KJV)
And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory
of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

Matthew 13:39 (KJV)
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end
of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

John 8:44 (KJV)
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.
He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there
is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar,
and the father of it.

Psalms 32:2 (KJV)
Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity,
and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Ephesians 6:11 (KJV)
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:14 (KJV)
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth,
and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Psalms 119:172 (KJV)
My tongue shall speak of thy word:
for all thy commandments are righteousness.

Psalms 119:86 (KJV)
All thy commandments are faithful:
they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.

Psalms 119:143 (KJV)
Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me:
yet thy commandments are my delights.
