Here is a question to think about.
If God almighty came to you, and he asked you for 1 reason to spare the world from Judgement,
what would your answer be?

Easy, there are people still being saved. That is the reason
why He tarries and is longsuffering. He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentence.

When the last one that will be saved is saved, He'll come back. No one knows when this is except God. I think we in the Western world see the culture becoming more ungodly, and think the rapture is certainly just around the corner. We tend to forget there is a great big world, and people are still getting saved all over this Earth.

This world needs to be judged too much evil & wickedness in it. If anything I'd ask to postpone to bring more to Christ but not spare it completely.

Are you sure you want the world spared from judgment? If we didn't have that hanging over our heads, would any of us behave ourselves?

funny you should ask

I have been praying that God would hold back the evil that wants to destroy it

it's ok to pray that way. Abraham did and God listened even if in the end the angels still executed judgement

you can feel the tension in the air

Hmm, I have been thinking about this most the day since I read it and now that I prepare for bed I still keep coming to the same answer. I would say that God should just do his will upon the earth and we should trust Him. If He wills not to destroy it just yet, that is because God is merciful and long-suffering. If He wills to destroy it even tomorrow, that is because God's judgement is true and God is supremely just and the avenger of the saints. How can anyone stand against God's will?

I want evil people and naysayers to face judgment. I don't necessarily want anyone to face eternal consequences, but I damn sure want to see some folks humbled. Thus I'd have to recuse myself from all responsibility regarding the question.

"Have you yet saved all you have elected?"

If he can say Yes to that, then yippee! It's time to end this. (If he can say Yes to that, he already ended it.)

Do you only love people to get something out of it? I've already been saved from what I deserve. That's a sealed deal. I want to be more Christ like because I want to be like him, not to save myself from something I've already been freed from.

People directly related to the case have to recuse themselves. Since you aren't judge, jury, attorney or executioner, you might want to get over yourself and realize you were up for the same crimes yourself.

You have a very cold heart. I often wonder if your god isn't conservatism.

I think we've all needed some discipline somewhere along the way.

I don't think the world deserves being spared
... but, if he is willing to forgive ME (!) just because of Christ, then surely He can give others a chance (to come to faith) as well

I would just throw my hands up and let him do his thing. How can I, a 15-year-old teenager who is still in school, convince an omnipotent being not to lay judgement on us? Besides, he clearly knows better than me, so I will just let him do what he wants to do. Everything will still be good in the end.

I dunno. There was this guy. He started his life in a waterproof basket floating on a river, but the daughter of the king found him and took him home to be her son, so he got 40 years of being the son of royalty. Then he noticed the soldiers were hurting people like him, so he killed a soldier and then ran away. Spent the next 40 years in a dessert, until a burning bush told him to go back and save his people. he was in his 100s and still begging God for his mercy on those folks. If God listens to some old guy, why wouldn't he listen to some young gal?

Well you can start by praying, I've been trying to get lyrics for an opera for an idol talent show, The first Opera, beleived to be written and composed and performed on canadian soil, is Coles et, something. But looking this up I found out that a hymn which is really quite popular, was written by a guy when he was between the ages of 12 and 16, in Montreal.

Canadian Hymns
My Jesus, I Love Thee, by William Ralph Featherstone (1846-1873), of Montreal, was likely written when he was converted at the age of 16.

God can do great things regardless of age, education, finances etc.
Don't underestimate what Jesus can use you for just because of your age.

I would just throw my hands up and let him do his thing. How can I, a 15-year-old teenager who is still in school, convince an omnipotent being not to lay judgement on us? Besides, he clearly knows better than me, so I will just let him do what he wants to do. Everything will still be good in the end.

thank you, I had the same problem, and then I think about my penpals, and the very few people Jesus put in my life who actuallyl made my life worth living, It's then that I have found the answer to the question.

Wow. Good question. I don't know if I could come up with a reason.
