A couple years ago I was sitting in church listening to a traveling preacher, when I heard this
"We don't need this old stale bread!!" He said as he held up the precious Bible!
"We need fresh bread!" He shouted!
I remember sitting there shocked as I heard him calling the very book that saved me 'Old Stale Bread'.
Can anyone give me some opinions on this?
probably what eve was thinking when she ate the fruit..Gods old stale word about not eating this fruit, i need new fresh bread...lemme listen to this other guys advice...didnt work out well for mankind though. Gods word is written because He spoke it, the same who spoke and everything that is, became. there is a real movement to either deny what we dont want to hear in the bible, or de value its word completely. this is the result of false doctrines taught by false teachers that are contrary to the Word, so why wouldnt those who accept the false doctrines want to devalue or de authorize the true words of God that they have exchanged for a lie.....
what is written is written and unchangable, when Jesus was tempted He responded with " it is written, it is written , it is written and satan went away. The One thing we have as a weapon against the spiritual forces of evil in the world, is the word of God, "the sword of the spirit" it is written, so that we can Know what is true and what is distorted. truth matters above every aspect of God. the movement away from Gods word will continue to grow and false interpretations will continue to get further away from the truth.
