Well those are different genres with different sounds. It's not just a name.

I actually have trouble reconciling CCM and most mainstream Christian music with the scriptures. The music is typically trite and uninspired. So little heart in it.
Hi Ugly,
I listen to music all day almost. It's not Christian music. I don't like rap. I don't understand jazz, and I could do without opera except for a few pieces, which you probaly know.

I like everything else, pop, disco, rock, some heavy metal.

However, I feel about this type of music going Christian, the way you do about mainstream Christian music.

No problem. I just don't understand how you could say it sounds uninspired...

These two songs are uninspired or you just don't like them??

Ooops. I could only post one...

What do you mean, "if Others don't like it then too bad for them".

How is it too bad for me, if I don't even like it?????????????????

LOL
My statement was quite plain. It requires no explanation.

Let alone alternitave rock... :eek::confused::rolleyes::cool:
i went to a Wovenhand show once, and there were flyers at the club advertising their music as "alternative country" ??

i thought "an alternative to country, maybe.. well, definitely..."

((tbh, more on-topic, i would call Wovenhand 'alternative rock' much sooner than i would call Skillet that. they used to be kind of grunge, but after they dabbled in cyber-punk with the Alien Youth album i've found them a bit poppy and predictable, which isn't 'alternative rock' in my head, but i've never really been good with sub-genres))

Close. More of a "If it's going to bother you to hear hour after hour of TOOL, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifier playing from the garage while I am out there working on a project, I suggest you find a distraction or learn to appreciate the lyrical styling of Maynard." Or something like that. Maybe. I don't know.

I have no idea WHY anyone would want to promote the false gospel of the shack by posting a video related to the shack which potentially misleads others in to a false gospel.
I'd still like to know what you thought of the waterfall scene. You do know what I'm talking about, don't you?

A person likes what they like.

Hope you like it here. I'm pretty new myself.

He means the type of music.

Did you know that Dee Snider says he's Christian?
And Alice Cooper?

I think it's worse to call oneself Christian and then sing that stuff. And with that image.
I wish they wouldn't make a note of the fact that they're Christian (if they even really are, who can know?).

Hey Willie,

I didn't see the movie, although I will if I could ever get it over here.

I did read the book and don't understand what was so bad about it.
Do you think it was terrible with the doctrine?
Anyway, everything we read has to be doctrinally correct?
It was a story and it even helped me to understand the interaction between the Trinity, or Godhead, better.
Was God a woman in the movie??

P.S. I don't remember the waterfall in the book.

Can we also remember not everyone is going to like the same style of music, that is why different music styles exist.

Most people in this world can't live up to our standards. A person an either accept them as they are or get butthurt that they fall short of what we think they should be.

PS. Don't take my quotes out of context. That's a sure-fire way to get on my bad side. Most of the "men" around here think me a pushover, but don't make the mistake of taking me for one. I have no qualms about taking you to task in public view. I'm perfectly okay with getting banned from this site if need be. I don't NEED to be here. CC is a distraction. Nothing more.
