Personally I don't really care how much or little Judaism someone feels the need to add to their Christian faith. What each of us do or don't do is between ourselves and God and really is no business of anyone else. Why is there this compulsion to try and foist a guilt trip on anyone who does not follow their agenda? Who set them up to be our judges and if they find the practices of most Christians here so sinful why are they on this site instead of one more in keeping with their views?

john832 himself defined his beliefs about becoming God in an earlier post on this thread. People deserve to know that john832 and prove-all follow his cultic teachings.
So, let's read here...

Gen 1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

Man to be made in the LIKENESS of God.

Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.

Sons of God.

Luk 20:36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

Sons of God.

1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

So, when Christ returns, we will be made like Him.

Now I have three children. They are not frogs or hamsters, they are humans just like me. Same material, flesh, same DNA, combination of my wife and me. So when we become the sons of God, what do we become? Pet dogs? No we become children of God, made of the same material...

Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Joh 3:7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
Joh 3:8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

Read the scriptures instead of following your "evangelical teachings".

I outline the teachings here:

http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/114577-beware-armstrongism.html

They should have been banned in the past, as they continually promote Armstrongism here. Armstrongism is worse than Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses, and they would be routinely banned here. Armstrongites deny the Trinity, claim they will be God in the resurrection, claim they are the "true faith" and recognized Christianity is a false belief, deny justification by faith alone and claim that Sabbath, festivals and clean meat laws must be observed as REQUIREMENTS OR CONDITIONS of salvation. Their position regarding Christian holidays being pagan is a minor aspect of their aberrant beliefs.

I was a member of the Armstrongite cults so I know the teachings and how they deviate from Christianity. Both of them have engaged me in degrading remarks about me leaving Armstrongism. I have no issue with telling people where they are coming from.
Please show me where I have not posted scripture and scripture only to confirm what I say. It is you who are unable to justify your evangelical teachings with scripture.

-So, the Kingdom of God is simply the begotten and finally born family of God.

Ephesians 3:15 (KJV)
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

-There was the Word and the Word was with God.

the Word was [with] God John 1:1 (KJV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was [with] God,
and the Word was God.

-They are going to produce a family.

Galatians 4:26 (KJV)
But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Luke 3:38 (KJV)
Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth,
which was the son of Adam, which was [the son of God].

-They were the beginning of a family of two great personages.

2 beings togeather in agreement before time even began.
God and the Word where like a family - became the Father and Son.

-And out of matter — nothing but plain matter —

[for dust thou art], and unto dust shalt thou return

Genesis 3:19 (KJV)
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground;
for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Genesis 2:7 (KJV)
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils [the breath of life]; and man became a living [soul] . H5315

H5315
נפשׁ
nephesh
neh'-fesh From H5314;
properly a breathing creature, that is, animal or (abstractly) vitality

The word nephesh literally means “life of animals,” referring to physical life
and not spirit -[the soul] is physical, composed of matter, and can die.

Genesis 6:17 (KJV)
And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy
all flesh, wherein is [the breath of life], from under heaven; and every thing
that is in the earth shall die.

Genesis 7:22 (KJV)
All in whose nostrils was [the breath of life], of all that was in the dry land, died.

4(The Spirit of God) hath made me("Job a man"),
and [the breath of ]the Almighty hath given me life.

-but with a spirit put into that matter

all people has what the bible calls [a spirit in man]

The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord,
which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation
of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

Job 32:8 (KJV)
But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of
the Almighty giveth them understanding.

this is what makes us so much more smarter then mere animals.

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was:
and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

-and finally the Spirit of God to join with that spirit in man,

5For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized
with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

35And the angel answered and said unto her, (The Holy Ghost) shall come upon
thee, and (the power of the Highest) shall overshadow thee: therefore also
that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called (the Son of God).

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; (mine elect), in whom my soul delighteth;
I have put (my spirit upon him): he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:
and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea,
and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Act 1:8)

-God is going to reproduce Himself; out of such worthless things as you and me.

Ecclesiastes 3:18 (KJV)
I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might
manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

Hebrews 1:5 (KJV)
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have
I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

Psalms 82:6 (KJV)
I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

John 10:34 (KJV)
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man,
that thou visitest him? Psalms 8:4 (KJV)

1 Corinthians 15:46 (KJV)
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural;
and afterward that which is spiritual.

18Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth,
that we should be [a kind of firstfruits of his creatures].

11But if (the Spirit of him) that (raised up Jesus) from the dead (dwell in you),
he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also will quicken your mortal
bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for
the manifestation of the sons of God.

Romans 8:14 (KJV)
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Philippians 2:12 (KJV)
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only,
but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Psalms 25:14 (KJV)
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

1 Peter 3:15 (KJV)
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to
every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

-Yes, you and I are pretty worthless in and of ourselves,
but do you realize how great we can be?

1 Corinthians 2:9 (KJV)
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into
the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Isaiah 64:4 (KJV)
For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear,
neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that
waiteth for him.

30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage,
but are as the angels of God in heaven.

-We are the very ones [God has called] to become His sons,
to be born of Him and to become very God ourselves.

Matthew 22:14 (KJV)
For many are called, but few are chosen.

1 Corinthians 1:26 (KJV)
For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men
after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

1 John 5:19 (KJV)
And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

Spirit-begotten humans (Romans 8:14; 1 John 3:1; 2 Peter 1:4).

1 Corinthians 15:50 (KJV)
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit
the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

are you still flesh and blood today?

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:
he that believeth not God hath made him a liar;
because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

-Oh, how wonderful that is, and that's something that no church understands,
no church believes, no church teaches it.

Revelation 10:7 (KJV)
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever
doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

1 John 3:8 (KJV)

Firstly I never called you a Judaiser
Secondly I have never met anyone who can honestly say they have followed Jesus in thought word and deed 24/7
Even the Apostles failed to achieve it. One only needs to read what Paul said about himself to understand that.
Our salvation as you must know depends entirely on the belief in the finished work of Christ. Who fulfilled the whole of the law on our behalf.
There are many who speak the words of God. It is the spirit and motivation that they have behind those words where the need for wisdom and discernment of those in receipt of them comes into play

If you feel guilty or that "someone is laying a guilt trip on you,(like me) tell me where I am wrong and I will fix it. I don't try to do this as it may put a stumbling block in front of you. This already is there it's called the corner stone.

Of course the disciples were not perfect and neither are we seeing we are only children/learners....that's the whole idea of 'walking with Jesus ! You brought 'judaism' into the discussion as do others just because of 'sabbath-keeping which to you smacks of OT law. If people were to walk with Jesus they would learn that His teachings are quite different from judaism as was practiced in the OT.
The whole point of 'walking with Jesus 24/7 is to LEARN a new and living way that will UNITE people instead of keeping up the ENMITY between them....there should be 'no division in Christ Jesus !

Yes, I'm afraid that people who do not accept the 'corner-stone where GOD put it' will suffer the consequences of having it fall on them crushing them to powder....scriptural !

Observing the Sabbath

Paul plainly declared that no Christian should be “judged” (i.e., condemned) for failing to observe the Sabbath (Col. 2:16) — a statement that never would have been made if the law of Moses had been binding when the apostle penned his letter.

The evidence of the New Testament is decisive. The early Christians met on “the first day of the week” (Acts 20:7), indeed “every first day of the week” (1 Cor. 16:2). [Note: The Greek of 1 Corinthians 16:2 is kata mian sabbatou, literally, “on the first day of every week” — see: J.H. Thayer, Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament, Edinburgh: T.&T. Clark, 1958, p. 328).

There is no biblical case that can be made in defense of “Christian Sabbath-keeping” for today. Efforts to this end are exercises in theological futility. That proposition has the support of neither Scripture mandate nor apostolic precedent. There is no scriptural call to action in the New Testament for Christians to “Christian Sabbath-keeping”… Jesus Christ IS our Sabbath and those walking in the Spirit being born again have entered into Christ being translated from the world into the Kingdom of God’s Dear Son (Colossians 1:13).

Sundays - Why we Observe

Jesus arose upon “the first day of the week….”
Mark 16:2, Luke 24:1, John 20:1

Pentecost by Divine design always came on Sunday. (Lev. 23:15-16)
Acts 2

The church was established repentance and remission of sins first preached this Sunday in Acts 2 and they were added to the saved.
Acts 2

The early church met on the first day of the week
” for communion.
Acts 20:7

Early church offerings were directed to be done upon the first day of the week

1 Corinthians 16:2

Mankind's Day of Rest, the Sabbath Day

Question - Since the Old Testament commanded people to observe the Sabbath on the seventh day of the week, why have most Christian churches switched their day of worship to Sunday, the first day of the week?

Not all churches answer this question the same way. Some groups, most notably the Seventh-day Adventists, still worship on the seventh day. They argue that the sabbath was one of the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20), and is therefore part of God's permanent will for His people.

They often claim that the shift to Sunday was part of a great apostasy that allowed pagan ideas to infiltrate the church during the early centuries (see Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy, pp. 58-59).

Other Christian groups say that Sunday is the Christian version of the sabbath. They suggest that the main point of God's command to observe the sabbath was not the seventh day, but the idea of one day out of the seven. Jesus claimed that he was “lord even of the sabbath” (Mark 2:28), and therefore had the authority to change it to a different day.

This position argues that Jesus changed the day to Sunday as a way of extending its blessing from the Jews to the whole world. Still others Christians would say that we no longer observe the Jewish sabbath, but worship instead on Sunday, a distinctively Christian holy day. They argue that the early church very soon began meeting on Sunday in honor of the resurrection of Jesus, which took place on the first day of the week.

At the very beginning, the church in Jerusalem met every day in the temple and in private homes (Acts 2:46). Since the first believers were all Jewish, it seems safe to assume that they continued to participate in Jewish synagogue and temple worship for some time.

However, the New Testament makes it clear that the observance of a particular day was not imposed as a binding obligation.

Romans 14:5-6 makes it clear that there was some freedom in the matter of special days. Colossians 2:16-17 commanded the church not to allow anyone to act as their judge in regard to sabbath days. And Galatians 4:9-10 warns against going back under the Law by insisting on the legal requirement of special days.

The records that remain in the New Testament show that the first day of the week soon became a day of worship. When Paul wanted to collect an offering from the church at Corinth, he asked them to gather the money on the “first day of the week” (1 Cor. 16:2). And when he wanted to meet with the believers at Troas, the gathering took place "on the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread" (Acts 20:7).

In Revelation 1:10, the apostle John described himself as being "in the Spirit on the Lord's Day." Most writers have thought he was referring to Sunday, so that our use of "the Lord's Day" as a term for Sunday comes from this verse. There is no Scripture passage that specifically teaches that the sabbath has been transferred from one day to another.

It seems most likely that the shift from Saturday to Sunday was gradual, and took place along with the change from a mostly Jewish church to a mostly Gentile one. The early church fathers generally viewed sabbath as a Jewish observance, and the Lord's Day as the proper Christian observance. For example, Ignatius wrote in the early 100's A.D., describing Christians with a Jewish background as those who “have come to the possession of a new hope, no longer observing the Sabbath, but living in observance of the Lord's Day, on which also our life has sprung up again by Him and by His death” (Magnesians 9 )

[note: Magnesians is a letter written to the church at Magnesia by Ignatius, a church father, also called Theophorus.]
(NOT a Scriptural Reference)

A person's decision concerning sabbath observance probably hinges on the question of how we view the entire Old Testament. If all of it is still binding on us, then so is the sabbath. If there are parts that are no longer binding because they were directed specifically to the Jewish nation, or because they were for ritual purposes, then the sabbath is open for discussion. No matter what position a person takes, it is important to recognize that God has a claim to all of my time. When I give Him one day of the week, it reminds me that He owns all seven!

Messiah was Already risen Sunday morning.

Okay so why didn't Israel keep Sunday then? Don't say because Messiah had to reveal it later because God doesn't change. This is also a great example of mixing what the word of God says with traditions of men.

The "church" or better known as holy assembly of Israel was started LONG before Acts. Way back when Moses stood before the entire "assembly".

The early church did not keep what is called communion. They broke bread together in fellowship and the two times the cups and unleavened bread where eaten was Passover and second Passover, (if you missed the first)

And they where told to save up for a month and to collect free will offerings for Israel on the first day because it would be sinful to collect money on Sabbath.

I have much more to share with you friend. I leave it at this however for now

Meant to say one thing more. If we observe Sabbath it is because we love the Lord of the Sabbath and He has given us rest in it.

I might be repeating what someone else has said, but Jesus said that He is Lord of the Sabbath. Not going to church and physically being with your brothers and sisters is much worse than going to church on a Sunday. God commands is to worship Him together physically. He is not ashamed of us if we do that on a Sunday or any other day. He desires mercy, not sacrifice. Meet with your brothers and sisters and do not avoid them because of the day of the week.

Mercy not sacrifice is eluding to obedience. Look it up. If you hear Hus voice today or as long as today is today or the day that you hear his word.. Don't harden your heart's as they did and they all died because of lack of obedience.

If you said to your kids to observe a day so you can meet with them and they didn't observe it on the day how could you trust the judgment of those kids?

You edited it out looks like nope found it "compulsion to try and foist a guilt trip on anyone "
You will find that it hasn't been edited out. It was included in my post number 501 which was not directed at anyone in particular. If you think its directed at you then there is not a lot I can do about it.
