If your Bible has a Book of John Trapp... you might want to get a new one.

Why not go with scripture?

once in a while you get it right!! LOL!

truly evil spirits come from doctrines created by demons, Just as the Holy spirit is created in us through the word of Christ. the title comes to mind

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving HEED TO seducing spirits, and DOCTRINES OF devils; 2SPEAKING lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron"

this is why it is so paramount to stick to the word of truth, through His Word, comes the spirit of truth. through the word of satan we died and through the word of Christ we are resurrected. there is spirit attatched to every piece of Knowledge we take in and believe.

that's deep bro

deep

how do you see the 'angel of light' thing ?

Todd Bentley is having a "Miracle healing festival" in Pakistan and raising "seed money".

I don't know the state of anyone's soul. If they will eventually repent of the false Word of Faith doctrine they are teaching.

Jesus rejected people who made religion a commodity item to be sold. Paul warned of people who taught false doctrines and called them clouds without rain, dry wells.

Word of Faith is a false doctrine that promises material gain for seed money. It lies about what the Bible says and promises and has created a false god they worship who is more of a genie than Our Heavenly Father.

We can pray that God will convict all false teachers and bring them to repentance, but we should not defend false teachers.

We can exhort our brothers and sisters to speak with love and stand against false doctrines and not make personal attacks. However, we should not attack them for making their stand known.

We can have hope for the people believing and teaching theses lies, but there is NO HOPE for false doctrines. THEY SHOULD be exposed and revealed to be demonic lies.

God promises spiritual wealth in the form of fruit of the Spirit and godly wisdom. He does NOT promise material wealth or earthly health. HE promises eternal life with Him in New Resurrected bodies. He DOES NOT promise no suffering or troubles on this earth. In fact he told His disciples they would be BEATEN and IMPRISONED.

Jesus says this world is NOT OUR HOME. We,are strangers making our way back to Him. We are His ambassadors and it offends me to see people misuse God's name and fake His power for their own monetary gain.

Bentley got his approval from fake prophets and teachers, AFTER the FL fiasco where he was found to be committing adultery, divorced his wife for no reason other than he wanted a new model, and married his mistress

just throw the Bible out the window

it's all about FRESH revelations

in Bentley's case, he does have that big angel that follows him around and tells him what to do

even an unmasked demon does not thwart some people. they pay the ultimate price for goosebumps

It is never about the money or riches itself. It's all a matter of where is your trust? In things or in God? Poor people can be just as covetous as rich people. Poor people can be just as trusting in "things" as rich people can.

It is never about the money or the things themselves. It is all about the trust and where do we find life from.

God richly gives us all things to enjoy but it has to be put in it's proper place.

1 Timothy 6:17-18 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.

[SUP]18 [/SUP] Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share,

God didnt WANT people to son, but people still do.

Is being poor or sick God's punishment for disobedience?

No it's a consequence of the Fall of Adam and living in a sinful world.

The opposite taught by WOF is also false.

.God doesn't want you wealthy (in material things and money) nor does He promise you perfect Health in these dying bodies.

God changes what we value (money, power, fame) to be more in line with what He values (love, good works praise and thanksgiving for God's blessings).

I find your posts kind of disturbing,

Yeah p4t goes over the top sometimes, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a point to his warnings.

I don't always like HOW he does it, but I agree that folks need to stand against false doctrines and not make excuses.
.we as God's people need to promote His truth and not sweep it under the rug just because we aren't perfect either.
.yes we arent perfect, but God is...we need to stand for what God has shown us.

God has shown me that greed and "sow money to make money" is a demonic doctrine.

That the false idea that you are sick because "you lack faith" or you need to "speak health into your life" makes God into a genie in a bottle and false idol.

Anyone teaching those things to the world should be rebuked by anyone in the world who claims to know Jesus and not some false idol.

If it was a local congregatuon, then yes..,have the local elders rebuke the preacher.

However, when it spreads and claims to be of God in the name of Jesus....,

When faced with false doctrines and God's truth where will you stand?

Another cut and paste G777?

I am pretty sure I read that at least 7 times this week from you.

But I will answer again if I must......

Yes it's about where you place your faith and what you treasure..,,, If a preacher tells people to place their faith in their own words and treasure earthly wealth and riches....is that from God or from Satan?

You would be wrong. I have posted that scripture and truth about "it is never about the money." 1 x times in 2017 before today and before that 3 x times in 2016.

Unless you went back throughout my whole time in CC and read those posts - you would be wrong.

And the reality is - I will post about it again if the subject of money comes up....:)

I have not heard preachers say to have your trust in riches. Perhaps there are some preachers doing that but I don't watch TV so I don't know what all ministers on TV are saying.

I have however heard people say that is what they "think" they are all saying when they heard a minister say that God wants to prosper us "so that" we can be a blessing to others.

I have chosen not to interact with those that have shown to be continuously exhibiting bad behavior.

It's ok to agree to disagree on things but bad behavior needs to be addressed and if no change happens - it is best just to do what Paul says and the "avoid them".

No good comes from interacting with these types of behaviors as it just causes strife and vision amongst us.

Galatians 5:25-26 (NASB)
[SUP]25 [/SUP] If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

[SUP]26 [/SUP] Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.

1 Peter 2:1-2 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander,

[SUP]2 [/SUP] like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,

Romans 16:17 (KJV)

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

1 Corinthians 15:33-34
[SUP]33 [/SUP] Be not deceived: bad company corrupt good manners.

[SUP]34 [/SUP] Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Hebrews 12:15 (NASB)
See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;
That's certainly not me, cuz you're interacting with me in other threads.:)

Good post reminds me of the widow offering, the rich only placed in what was out of surplus for they didn't want to placed in what they could have but the widow placed all she had...

The Holy Spirit points to and glorifies Jesus....anyone who makes more to do about the Spirit is not being led by the Spirit....end of story!
I'll make more to do about Him..... He also edifies & strengthens the body of Christ.:)

This pretty much what folks are saying just with stronger words...WOF teaches a false works based salvation gospel and puts faith in the person's words and NOT God's will.

The rest of you post shows your beliefs, which is good, but doesn't change the fact you seem to be defending a movement you found to be teaching a false gospel.
I see you used the magic phrase to get G777 to agree with you:

"a false works based salvation gospel"

That otta do it!

One may wonder why these TV ministries that are obviously fleecing the flock keep getting such an audience. I think it is because they are preying on desperate people, people who probably know in their hearts that it will not work, but who are so desperate that they will try just about anything. I was watching a Duplantis meeting one time when he asked for a show of hands of those who were NOT getting the material blessings he had promised to them, just about everyone in the crowd raised a hand. I think that many of these teachers are going to be horribly surprised when they leave this realm because they used the name of God to take from hurting people what they wanted in this life while offering them empty promises.

Nothing here about earthly riches, wealth, or health. Context, please!

Triumph in Christ
12 When I came to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ, even though a door was opened for me in the Lord, 13 my spirit was not at rest because I did not find my brother Titus there. So I took leave of them and went on to Macedonia.

14 But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. 15 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, 16 to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God's word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.

Nothing here about earthly riches, wealth, or health. Context, please!

10 For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” 11 Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.” 12 But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.” 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— 14 so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

2 Corinthians 1:20

All the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him amen (so be it), unto the glory of God by us.[/quote

Nothing here about earthly riches, wealth, or health. Context, please!

Paul's Sufferings as an Apostle
16 I repeat, let no one think me foolish. But even if you do, accept me as a fool, so that I too may boast a little. 17 What I am saying with this boastful confidence, I say not as the Lord would[a] but as a fool. 18 Since many boast according to the flesh, I too will boast. 19 For you gladly bear with fools, being wise yourselves! 20 For you bear it if someone makes slaves of you, or devours you, or takes advantage of you, or puts on airs, or strikes you in the face. 21 To my shame, I must say, we were too weak for that!

But whatever anyone else dares to boast of—I am speaking as a fool—I also dare to boast of that. 22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they offspring of Abraham? So am I. 23 Are they servants of Christ? I am a better one—I am talking like a madman—with far greater labors, far more imprisonments, with countless beatings, and often near death. 24 Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the forty lashes less one. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; 26 on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; 27 in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. 28 And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for all the churches. 29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant?

30 If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. 31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, he who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying. 32 At Damascus, the governor under King Aretas was guarding the city of Damascus in order to seize me, 33 but I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall and escaped his hands.

Thanks for the Calvinist proof text. Nothing here about earthly riches, wealth, or health though btw. Do you understand the meaning of context yet?

I really don't feel like getting you the context for every single verse you ripped out right now, but maybe I'll be back later.

If you keep dealing with a guy who's off his rockrz, it'll rub off on you.;)

A word about riches. Of course a Christian can be rich, however a Christian cannot use God to make himself or herself rich, that is called fleecing the flock and it is not God's way.

Uh-huh. You've been given enough information on Meyer to make a determination - you're being willfully ignorant and cherry pick who you defend and attack. You're inconsistent and sanctimonious. Seems to be a pattern with you.
Oh so I should just fall in line on Joyce Meyer because you say she is something, I have not discovered yet. You are just upset because I wont play your game and be oohed and awwed over something you post. Unlike you, I am not ruled by fear, I am ruled by love. My response remains the same, nothing you or your little band of merry men post about Joyce Meyer will change my opinion, because I have never, ever heard or teach or follow here. For me to bow down to your control to accept at face value what you have to say with her, is more about you getting control over someone, than the beef you have with Joyce. GUys like Lord over others and keep folks in line, because you have control over people that cannot think for themselves, because part of shepherding control is brainwashing people to think as you do.

See? We get it. When others expose heretics "Wrong!!!" when you do as in the case of Derek Prince "It's of God." and Acts 5 doesn't apply to you.
Wow you are not paying attention, I never said Derek Prince was of God, I said quite the opposite and hurt 7seas and should not have

As far as MacArthur, you're accusations are unfounded, slanderous libel and remain completely undocumented. You dislike him because you're a closet WoF believer yourself but won't come out and admit it under this moniker.
You are only defending what you believe[MacArthur] and will not give others the same latitude, because in your mind your beliefs and theology should be everyone's and when someone will not bend and bow to accept the truth you are peddling through control a belligerent, boorish, belittling bigot filled response follows. My Dad was taught to be the same way and passed it on to me, so I know your games and all the rebuttals and all the talking points. Spiritual control is abuse, get over it, before it consumes you.

Now I would lie if I did not say I spent a very long time looking into and being part of many different denominations and movements in my search for absolute truth. Part of that discovery process was spending time in the WOF movement.

The WOF movement is nothing but false teaching. In my 2 years immersed in that cult, I never, ever once heard Hagin, Hagin Jr., Brazee, Copeland, Savelle, Pearsons, Wommack, Moore or any of them talk about Joyce Meyer.

I know more about the WOF than you would hope to know and left that lie years and years ago. I know the damage done by that movement.

The only difference in the WOF movement and guys like you is the WOF and charismatics manipulation of the Holy Spirit to control people, whereas you guys seek to control through fear, intimidation, shunning, and other brainwashing tactics

You see bro, you are just another attraction in the christian amusement park, and I have been to all of the attractions.
