Shame on you!
Another one verse wonder...

Try putting this in context for a start:

5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
1 John 1:5-10

vs 8-10 provides the full context - read it and understand!

If you are claiming sinlessness then I am afraid you are the one walking in darkness!

In fact, the reality that we sin DOES NOT EQUAL walking in darkness!
If it did then vs 5-10 are hopelessly contradictory.

verse 7 is the hub around which the whole text revolves:

Walking in darkness allows one to HIDE, firstly from our own sin, and secondly from God (not really possible, but some try...), however walking in the light IS NOT A METAPHOR FOR SINLESSNESS, but rather exposing ourselves
to God, warts and all!
Stand in the light, let it expose you for what you are, let the light expose your sin - confess it as required - and move on in God.

Walking in darkness is not about sin per se, it is all about hiding from God, avoiding reality!
Walking in the light is all about exposing oneself to God, letting Him actually see you for what you are (in fact God already knows, but we need to take that step of faith) and letting Him lovingly correct and mature you!

DENYING SIN AND SINFULNESS PLACES ONE AS FIRMLY WALKING IN DARKNESS...
"He that says he abides in Him ought himself also so to walk EVEN AS HE WALKED" -1 John 2:6

Shame on me for claiming to abide in Him? No, shame anyone who claims to abide in Him and not walking as He walked (without sin)

So you actually claim to be sinless then?
Wow, quite a claim...

I claim to be cleansed of all unrighteousness by Jesus after godly sorrow led my heart to true repentance. I claim to abide in Him.
And so, do you claim to sinless or not?
And, what happens if you do sin?

I also claim that I can still be tempted to sin. Thanks be to God that He will not suffer us to be tempted above that we are able and with the temptation will make a way to escape so we may be able to bear it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Great!
Why not try answering the questions now...

The Devil's greatest lie to a Christian is, you can change the word of God a little if you want to, it will not hurt anything.

Not really - the meaning of the verse is one thing, your interpretation, quite another...
"He that says he abides in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked." -1 John 2:6

I didn't know there were multiple ways of interpreting this verse. It says "whoever claims to abide in Him should walk as He walked." Does your interpretation differ from mine in any way? If so, how? Do you abide in Christ?

So, do you claim to be sinless then - try your OWN words this time around.

Why do you want me to say that? I am having trouble understanding the motive behind your peculiar questions, friend.

For us Christians, we will be judged for our secret sins that others don't know about, but i think they will make it by the skin of their teeth. welcome servant, you have been faithful in a few things. The sin that gets you is the sin outside the body, living the sinful life style that causes you to commit sin in the body as well.
