How do you preach the gospel if you don't talk to unbelievers?

Won't comment on the other issues...Bill is my eye twitch noticeable?

FranC,

I can state what I believe but I am wondering if you are going to answer my question... so I am re-posting since this is a fast moving thread.

Sin was a gift really, I did not ask for it....did you?

“all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) sin entered the world through Adam, death follows sin, death comes to all people, all people sin because they inherit sin from Adam.

Let me ask you something.....

Can you by your own effort "out will" Sin or Death?

I'll be waiting.....

Oh by the way I do believe we cannot out sin grace (if we have inherited eternal life) and we are saved no matter what!

God may or may not choose to intervene in a person's life but that is His arena not ours to judge.
Please ask in a different way.
I don't know what you mean.

Talking to unbelievers is good and I'm sure everyone here does this.

Talking to unbelievers who think they are saved , preach incorrect doctrine and are self-righteous about it, is a whole different story.

This is a general statement.

And just as anti-Christian as the first idiotic statement was......

From what I have read you believe in free will (this concept comes more from ancient Greek philosophers that scripture) but to be clear I do believe we have the ability to choose.

I am not a Calvinist, not that means anything since who really knows what the guy was talking about it has been reinterpreted over and over. :)

Can you by your own power to choose ... will against sin and will against death?

I ask this because you say you believe we have free will and we can choose to leave our salvation.

Be honest now:)...I know you will.

Please ask in a different way.
I don't know what you mean.

His statement is one of the most anti-biblical, anti-Christian statements I have ever heard come from a professed believer......Jesus ate with publicans, sinners and whores and had no problem in talking with and or engaging believers....what a hypocritical self serving pompous statement........
Oh, that's right. Being with sinners can only mean preaching the gospel to them. I've been hanging out with unbelievers all wrong by not preaching to them.

If preaching to unbelievers is your job then that's what you need to be doing. Don't burden me with that which God has not called me to do. Yes, I know.......you belong to church that insists evangelizing the world is the only gift there is and everybody should be doing it, right?

Sometimes it can be hard, I always try to remember I was just as lost a they are, that helps me meet them where they are.

God has shown us over and over again in the Bible that He meets us where we are....and it is a good thing He does!

I witnessed for years in the work place.
Not my gift.

You should take your time and read more slowly....it seems you miss most of the dialogue....and your post speaks for itself........I am sure your view of anyone in here equals less than zero....especially when you make comments like you did to one of the nicest guys in here.....

You should apologize for this diatribe........

but I consider people who discuss the Bible this way to be not saved. And I detest talking to unbelievers. I did it for years and I'm done with it.

Actually, what you are is a narcissist. No, not in the Donald Trump kind of way, but in the interpersonal relationship kind of way. They are among the most detestable people to try to co-exist with. I don't do it when I have the choice not to

This is what forgiveness is all about.
Jesus was a really great psychiatrist.
He knew we had to love ourselves or we could love no one else.
He knew we had to forgive ourselves or we could forgive no one else.
And He knew that forgiving was as much for us as the other person. It lifts a great weight and frees us up to love again.

And once you forgive someone, what they do with it is up to them.
You've done your part. You're free. Jesus intends to make you free to love.

Forgiveness had two parts.
At first we feel hurt and maybe some time must pass.
Then forgiveness is a matter of our WILL. We will to forgive that person.
This is good. After some time and before we even realize it, the forgiveness has travelled to the heart
And we are free from any bad feeling toward that person.

As far as Good is concerned , we have forgiven when we Will it. It is an intention.

Good night Oldthenew...
The best way to forgive someone is to pray for them. Pray blessings on them. And not the kind that is heaping coals of fire on heads. If that is to be done, God will do it.

Well, let's see.
You didn't answer my question.
You're grasping to redefine a word in the Biblical text.
And you're harping on a subject that I have not even addressed.
That's three strikes, you're out.

I'll give you time for me to see you differently, but I consider people who discuss the Bible this way to be not saved. And I detest talking to unbelievers. I did it for years and I'm done with it.

Actually, what you are is a narcissist. No, not in the Donald Trump kind of way, but in the interpersonal relationship kind of way. They are among the most detestable people to try to co-exist with. I don't do it when I have the choice not to.
I find his (Grace) questions to be simplistic, demeaning, and almost blasphemous to the Greatness of God...

Loving all people is what God calls us to do. How that love takes shape may differ from person to person but should be present.

This is a joke coming from you......actually what is blasphemous is to say the blood of Christ and his work is not sufficient and He must be helped to finish his work.....your view tramples Jesus under your feet and slaps him in the face with his own blood while stating his work and sacrifice is not sufficient..........

What do you consider your spiritual gift? Just curious.
There's a very mean air in this thread.
Same thing happened to me.
Instead of listening to persons, you attack them.
This is not very nice.
Especially when you do this to a new person .
Great welcome it is.

This is what is meant by the hearers of the word and the doers of the word.

This is an example of NOT acting like someone who is a resident of the kingdom of God.

The Dcon club.
You stick together and attack.

Aren't you glad Fran has thick skin.?
Think I'll hang around some more...

I sure hope PHart doesn't leave this forum because of the Dcon club...

Sadly I have to agree..by your own words FranC...

HELLO!!!

Cheap Grace DOES NOT mean that God's grace is cheap.

It means that SOME MEN MAKE IT OUT TO BE.

You should try to understand the difference.

For instance, you're beliefs make grace to be cheap.

If I give you everything and you give me nothing,
Everything I've given you is of NO VALUE TO YOU since have give me nothing in RETURN.

Easy concept.

Saying it again..So so ironic really....

Sadly while hesitating to use this terminology your dogma cheapens Grace because it makes it a Services rendered expecting payment in return, God says NO, it is a Gift.

You are adding to the Gospel (plan of salvation) plain and simple.

Your comment then informs me that you do not understand the Love of God nor His Grace.

But I have hope...God is faithful to those who believe who He says He is.

This is a joke coming from you......actually what is blasphemous is to say the blood of Christ and his work is not sufficient and He must be helped to finish his work.....your view tramples Jesus under your feet and slaps him in the face with his own blood while stating his work and sacrifice is not sufficient..........

Of course you can say that about him. EVERYONE is a nice guy compared to how you post here, lol.
