No way anyone should say such rubbish to you Bill!

You are a beloved brother and often very encouraging and humble. I believe it's a blessing to be able to fellowship with you.

Believe it or not people used to believe I was shy and quiet.....lol, as you can tell folks don't know me very well.

In reality I am kind of soft spoken and suffer from asthma and have to focus on just breathing sometimes much less talking...I know what you mean that some days you just want to curl up and block out the world.
.I normally read a book or watch a movie to escape reality.

Beer gives me gas and cigarettes causes me to stop breathing..,so that's why they aren't my vices.

However I don't see any commandment against either.

God doesn't want you to get drunk but he understands we need ways to cope with stress and isn't as legalistic as some folks.

Anyway, I am gonna say a short prayer..,some may condemn me for praying in public but I am going to do it anyway. I am tired of not speaking up because folks might get offended.
Thank you for your kind words towards me, even though I don't get and truth is don't understand it.

You do do bless me with your posts.

Me thinks though that some will post I'm going to hell, if they don't they may think it.

Dear God:

You see our hearts and you know our faults better than we do. I know you have washed us clean in the Blood of your son Jesus, but some days we feel dirty and the worries of the world weigh us down.

God help us to lay them at your feet and trust you to take care of us and our families. There is so much out of our control that we may feel helpless and unable to deal, but God remind us that You are in control and you have plans for our good.

God the world distracts us from you, it judges us as unworthy and our heart agrees...we are unworthy of your love. We are sinners in need of a savior.

Lord help us to see ourselves as You see us. Help us be worthy to be called Your beloved children.

Calm our fears Lord and give us peace as only You can give.

When we want to hide from the world, remind us that we are beautifully and wonderfully made and empowered to do Your good works. We are not worthless. We are not forgotten. You catch every tear drop and see us as we are. You started a good work in us and will see it to completion.

God we thank you for the promises found in Your word, in your Holy Bible and the wisdom given by the Holy spirit.

God we thank you forever, in Jesus name we praise you eternally, amen.
Amen......

Gonna open up a little bit here.

I suffer from severe anxiety, it takes effort to get out of bed, it takes effort to run a company of 30 people.
Ensuring they are paid to meet their needs.

When anxiety is at its worst I just want turn lights off and curl up in the corner (which I used to do)
Even as I type this I'm really struggling.

For 27 years this has been my story.

I have the most amazing wife, 4 beautiful kids and all have placed their faith in Jesus and I love them dearly.

I cant give up though and here is where I'm gonna open up.

My anxiety tskes me places I don't want to go to. My thoughts seem to control me. I have dreams of my kids dying, my wife dying, 30 employees on the street cause the business has gone bust.

But I do everything for everyone in my life and I ask Jesus to help me do it. If he didn't I couldn't do it.

I can't seem to shake them off, no matter how much prayer I have prayed.

So my outlet is to have a few beers of an evening, with a smoke.

So given a lot of posts I've read on this thread some would say I'm going to hell.
I would say you are a fellow brother working it out....

I am going to open up here and let the Holy Spirit minister life unto you....I would like you to try something...

I would like you to print the below verses off in any translation that you will keep reading them in. I want you to put them on a piece of paper and carry them with you all over the place. I want you to get a dry erase marker and put them n the mirror in your bathroom...

I want you to personalize the verses the way I have listed them...you are not trying to memorize them, you are going to eat them, meditate on them and read them even while you have a cold one with the smoke. I want you your wife to read them to you and you read them together....remembrance is not as important here as reading and letting the word get planted in your spirit....

Philippians 4.4-9

[SUP]4 [/SUP]I Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! [SUP]5 I [/SUP]Let MY gentle spirit be known to all men. my Lord is near. [SUP]6 [/SUP]I will not Be anxious for anything, but in everything by my prayers and supplications with thanksgiving, I let my requests be made known to God. [SUP]7 [/SUP]And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus.

[SUP]8 [/SUP]Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, I will dwell on these things. [SUP]9 [/SUP]The things I have learned and received and heard and seen in Christ, I practice these things, and the God of peace will be with me.

Matthew 11.28-30
I Come to you Jesus, I am weary and heavy-laden, and you will give you me rest. [SUP]29 [/SUP]I Take your yoke upon me Jesus and I learn from you, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and I will find rest for my soul. [SUP]30 [/SUP]Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light.”

Colossians 3.15, Psalm 55.22, 2 Thessalonians 3.16, 1 Peter 5.8
I Let the peace of Christ rule in my heart! I Cast my burden upon the Lord and He will sustain me;
He will never allow BILL to be shaken. Now the Lord of peace Himself, will continually grant me peace in every circumstance. I am casting all my anxiety on Jesus, because Jesus cares for Me.

Isaiah 41.10
‘I Do not fear, for God is with me;
I Do not anxiously look about me for you are my God.
You will strengthen me surely you will help me
Surely you will uphold me with your righteous right hand.’

Try this for a while and add any verses you want to along the same theme...

The word of God does not return void, it spiritually prospers and accomplishes what it is sent into!

God bless you man, you got this and so does God...

There is a peace that surpasses all understanding for sure..........the thing that really helped me was to realize that there are some things beyond my control and not to worry about something that has not happened yet.......

Trouble is DC they don't see behind the scenes of ones life and heart.
They are not even interested, no love, no compassion, no acceptance unless one conforms.

Very sad sad and it breaks my heart.

Thank you my friend.

my post was two fold.

To be honest about me and many a people I know and believe it or not I walk alongside, also to draw a response from those who would condemn me and others to hell because they struggle.

Sorry, I am not here to be taught by you.

I know who my teachers are on this message board, and they are firm believers in the Gospel of Grace, and I refuse to be a guilt ridden, defeated, miserable believer or listen to anyone who seeks to rob me of my joy in salvation.

Reverential fear is our worship and awe of God, our relationship with Him is based on His love for us.

You perceive my certainty as pride, that is your false judgement of me drawn from words on a message board.
I have a right to be certain, no one listens to a half-hearted message of hope and redemption.

Here are men and women that I do fellowship with and praise God they pulled out that church nonsense of lordship salvation
and preach the simple true Gospel.

https://expreacherman.com/2012/06/08/guilt-free-christianity/
[h=1]No Guilt, No Fear! Living by Grace not by Doubt and Fear: Guilt-Free Christianity![/h]

Ignore is a good option here. Go for it!

Another travesty of the feel good grace all the time gospel is this....

People often cannot discern true correction done in love...and therefore refuse any form of Biblical correction, because they are brainwashed into thinking that it is good all the time and all the time its good! So you best not ever correct me, talk to me about condition or even try to approach me about my walk...cause I be covered in grace and that is all I need. The grace easy believing message leaves out 3/4 of the Christian transformation doctrines found in just about all of Paul's Epistles....it leaves out 100% of the church authority and correction doctrine, because the perverse grace message will not allow others to speak into another life...Yet Paul exhorts ministers and people do just the opposite of grace teachers....

I have said this same thing word for word in person and just as bluntly to people. They will react as undergrace and you have because pride is the first defense of anyone when they truly are caught empty handed and without excuse [Eve did to Adam, Adam did to Eve] I am guilty of the same defense, we all are....what we have to do is learn to set aside our pride and be teachable, even if it is something we think we know very well....but especially so, if we have no idea what we are saying and that was undergrace completely on the topic of the fear of the Lord....instead of asking, she kept on assuming....I gave her plenty of warnings to stop talking and then put on the brakes to her the way I did...She and you may think it is Arrogance, condescension, disrespect and lacking humility, but it was done in complete love and desire to teach her what she had no clue about.

This was nothing more than....STOP! do not mix bleach with that ammonia....

When its about the way, the truth and the life....we must be firm, direct and blunt to avoid instant death.

The church is powerless because grace will not let us voice a discernment, concern, warning, rebuke, correction, exhortation or otherwise to thousands of "Christians" because grace alone does it all....this is the lie of grace only easy believing...

Grace alone is only taught, yet Grace and truth are what Jesus is all about....we have boatloads of grace, but not any modern day grace teachers care much for the truth....Grace does not set you free, truth sets you free....Grace is the oil to the wheel of the truth....the reformation coming is to purge the grace only teaching from the body.....

Grace is amazing, wonderful, freedom/liberty and empowers the truth.
truth is hard, hurts, forces inward change, restrains and holds grace accountable.

The closer to the truth Jesus got in his doctrine is when he lost the most that were following him...

The real sad thing here is that we have a poster who has tremendous knowledge about grace, but cannot articulate something as beautiful and wonderful as the fear of the Lord...because she is blinded by a grace only message into thinking anything to do with fear and the Lord is works based....grace is present but the truth is not anywhere to be found....this makes grace lasciviousness....

I said this word for word to man I had as a guest speaker in our ministry one night....except I told him to pack and leave...he was not speaking grace or truth...and as the spiritual authority of the people he was speaking to, they needed to be protected agaisnt what he was pushing...I knew that guy for 2 years and had heard him preach/teach many times....he was grace/truth...but what I did not know was he had his ears tickled by false doctrines and was being corrupted by false teaching of rapture date setters like John Hagee, Mark Biltz, Paul Begley and Jonathan Cahn....

We broke fellowship with him immediately....

Soldiers of Christ who make soldiers of Christ do not get there by eating diet bread sticks and drinking powdered milk and sugar coated greasy grace nuggets....They get there by the full counsel of the meat of the word.

I suppose you would call the below Arrogance, condescension, disrespect and lacking humility as well....

I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: [SUP]2 [/SUP]preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. [SUP]3 [/SUP]For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, [SUP]4 [/SUP]and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. [SUP]5 [/SUP]But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Truth in lvoe is the greatest thing Jesus ever did....what a pity so many today cannot discern it, or learn from it....

Our preacher told us that we are all walking wounded....some of us are just better at hiding the scars.

He said we should learn how to nurse, care and love one another as God calls us to and to realise that Even if we look like we have it together....we all have our hidden hurts that only God sees and can heal.

That is true. We need a place where all can be honest and open.
No condemnation.
