Here is my quote for you again.....it seems that this is all you can concentrate on......and thanks for proving my point pal...

ALL the workers for who can lose salvation will say that we advocate sin......I have yet to figure out how lying and misrepresenting the facts and or twisting what is said helps their working for café blend salvation....it would seem that lying willfully would cause them to lose their salvation......
dc - I am sorry. Obviously you are a case of being incapable of seeing an obvious conflict
of ideas.

Let me try it in a diagram

1..... (P + S) + (+/- F) + C <= God ok

2.... P + F + W + C <= God ok

P = person S = sin C = Christ F = Faith W = Washed clean

Now if sin is always present, then God is ok with it. ( easy version )
As long as you have faith at some point, you are safe.

Now scripture is simple. Cleansed and purified, made Holy before God, walking in faith
and knowing Gods love is acceptable and in His will to walk.

It is easy to dodge these issues, but I will let the light shine as long as it is day, and it
will just get brighter, for the cross brought us victory over sin and death, Amen.

2 Corinthians Chapter 7

9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

this is to the lost?

it does not apply to those who follow Jesus...
but choose to sin and feel shame for it

or if you still choose sin after "accepting" Jesus were you never in him?

or should you not feel sorrow for your sin?

not trying to argue

or offend

i would like to hear what you have to say on this when you have time please
The whole context concerned a letter that Paul had written unto the assembly at Corinth (vs. 8)....it was written unto the saved and for the purpose of defending Paul's ministry and to get the Corinthians to receive Paul and company and their instruction that was directed at the Corinthian assembly (vs. 2) The verses you cite are a comparison between godly sorrow and worldly sorrow....It seems the letter made them sorrowful and they changed their mind toward PAUL, received his words of instruction and correction and changed their course.....Paul was clear on SIN.....should we continue to live a life of SIN because the GRACE of GOD out bounds our sin....NO......should we be remorseful of our sin when we sin...obviously....but at the end of the day like all the verses that have been posted....we are continually forgiven, cleansed and justified by the blood of Christ as far as our standing is concerned.....we are no longer condemned as the LOST ARE, but rather we are dealt with as sons and daughters........

We are unworthy, without merit, lost, without hope or rescue. But Jesus embraces us
through the cross and comes and loves us, and empowers us to walk in His ways.

When this starts to change you, you realise you are accepted and loved and called a child
of God.
I have to disagree,

if we do not not realize this first, we will never be empowered to walk in his ways

we have to realize we are accepted and loved as Gids children otherwise, all we will be left with is fear and depression, or a lifetime of denying our sin is sin, while judging others who are more sinful that we are in an att JP to make us feel better.

Walking by the spirit will always stop the lusts of the flesh that want to do "it's" desires.
That's not true.

Even Paul said he still dealt with the flesh.

I'm saved, & spirit filled, but I deal with temptation every day.

Watch him folks..... That's not the Holy Spirit saying such things.

I'm curious Bruce. Do you believe our Heavenly Father lovingly corrects us?

I can tell you I love my boys to pieces but I correct them, and in some cases that correction takes the form of punishment they don't like, but afterward, for the most part, they understand and appreciate that I did it solely out of love.

Surely God, who loves us infinitely more than we can love our children, will do the same for us.
Amen!

I sure do believe our loving Father corrects us and "child-trains" us. He does it by His word.

If we want to see how our Father corrects us - see how Jesus corrected and death with the disciples. Jesus is the perfect representation of the exact nature of the father and Jesus did the will of the Father while on this earth.

If we think God is punishing us - we have a wrong view of the Father and we are bringing our own humanistic thoughts and ways and projecting them on to Him and His ways.

1 John 4:18-19 (NASB)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

[SUP]19 [/SUP] We love, because He first loved us.

What ways have we seen Jesus discipline the disciples? That would be an interesting study to ponder.

what seems to actually be easier is lying to yourself and others ( and ultimately to God because he knows all ) that you do not sin. that is what you seem to do.

and sinlessness is a lie.

Is it wrong to not want to go to church service at a church that proudly displays the gay pride colors? Cuz at least 3 churches here in my town do that.. :/

A little off topic.. oh well.. lol
I like rainbows. They are gifts from God to remind us of his promise not to flood the entire earth even though it's becoming as wicked as the days of Noah.

They aren't "gay pride colors".

We need to reclaim what Satan seeks to steal and the rainbow is one of the smaller symbols that have been distorted.

Now if they actively support gay life styles and condemn you for saying it's against the Bible, then I wouldn't attend the church because it's unlikely you will get Biblical sound doctrine there.

proves my point exactly. here peter, wrong as usual, points out how one must work for salvation, while denying he teaches works for salvation.

paragraph 4.
gb9 - Let me give you an illustration.

You observe people playing russian roulette. You say one day the bullet will be in the
chamber and blow you head off. They say no it will not, I do not need to change, nothing
wrong with me, God will look after me, you are a legalist, I am saved and secure, I do not
need to do anything.

So you show them the gun, the ammunition and way it all works and still they continue.
You only stop going to die, but stopping putting the gun to your head and pulling the
trigger.

All I can say this is willful blindness and rebellion.

He he loves to blame everyone else. It is always our fault not his,

another factor useful for determining who is humbly sharing gods truth, vs who is proudly trying to shove their own truth
,
It is absolutely fruitless to engage him.......we can say 100000000000000000000000 times that we do not advocate a lifestyle of sin and he will come back with that crap............exactly why I skip 99% of what he posts......Because when I do look at one....all I see is this fabricated twist of what we believe......

Here is my simple view of sin. It is always present in our lives, because temptation is always present in our lives. It may hide for awhile, but presents itself when opportunities for temptation arise.. It is up to us to either resist it, or give in to it. God is not okay with sin, He never has been. But He IS okay with forgiving us of that sin, no matter how many times we give in to it.. :)

Here is what the scripture says about the flesh and "it's" desires and walking by the spirit.

The malice and deceitful mis-representing and accusations some people make - would in their own religion send them to hell for this type of behavior.

Thank God for the gospel of the grace of God in Christ's work.

Romans 6:11-12 (NASB)
[SUP]11 [/SUP] Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

[SUP]12 [/SUP] Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts,

Galatians 5:16 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

Peter, we are ALL unclean. Ya know why? Because even though we may be saved, we ARE still human and still tempted to sin every now and again. But the good thing about getting "muddy", is God's forgiveness washes us clean, just like a garden hose.. It is IMPOSSIBLE for a Christian to not sin after they're saved.

For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
The bible is clear and so was Jesus.....The disciples were COMPLETLEY clean inside and out.......the only thing that needed to be washed every now and then were their stinky feet........this SPEAKS VOLUMES to our state....and our WALK....and our POSITIONING in Christ........

I hate to say this is a dumb comment, but blue, it is.

When babies are born they are dirty and need a wash.
Man is born separate from God and behaves as they feel like.
When man comes to God, they need to be cleansed. That means really cleansed and
purified, to know what love is and to be transformed.

All you are saying is we all have a potential to sin.
What I am saying is Christ in the Spirit gives you a way to stay clean.
It appears you prefer the wallowing rather than being cleansed. Got it.

Amen...and that is why I do not interact with those that are so deceitful in what they are saying. Paul says what to do with these types in Rom. 16;17

This type of behavior is no different then those living a homosexual lifestyle and thinking it is a great thing to do - because they are just "loving others". What nonsense.

They are in the same lists as "works of the flesh".

2Cor 7:8For though I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it—for I see that that letter caused you sorrow, though only for a while— 9I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything through us.

DID you skip the first line.....it was the LETTER and the word is SORROW...not conviction!

God us not OK, with sin, but God is OK with us. Upon acceptance of Him, He now accepts us, even in the midst of our sin.
The sin issue was resolved on the cross and He no longer holds it against us. Why are you so blind to that? Why do you always focus on sin, and not on the God that has resolved the issue of sin, so that we can walk in love with Him as our friend, as our guide, as our strength through this quagmire called life. If you believe He holds our sins against us, then you don't fully believe in His finished work on the cross.

I like rainbows too. In fact I just ordered two pairs of chunky heel shoes with rainbow soles.. LOL.. Anyhoo, society sees those colors as representing gay pride, even though I don't.. To tell the truth, I'd be scared and mortified to wear my rainbow shoes out in public, cuz probably some religious nut would see them, think that I'm a lesbian who supports gay pride and target me for death.. It sounds silly, but seriously, a friend of mine (tried) becoming a man, and got murdered for it. :( She changed her name, took male hormones, and was about to have surgery to gain a penis, and someone beat her so badly that she died. They found her body on the street.. She was the one who gave me my Tequila kitty 16 years ago. :)

And on the doors of the churches they have signs that say something to the effect of, "all LGBTQ are welcome here"..

I like rainbows. They are gifts from God to remind us of his promise not to flood the entire earth even though it's becoming as wicked as the days of Noah.
