What is the only reason mankind can be loved. Help?

The image of God.

I think that's the only reason why mankind can be loved. It is not because mankind is stronger, smart, or anything. Also, I believe that the image of the beast replaces the image of God in man, right? If so, I think that supports my thoughts.

Scripture support and thoughts?

God is love and he loves his creations. Mankind is the only creation that can have a special relationship with God that no other creation can.

True... hmm God does seem to love His creation. After all... he feeds the sparrows and in one scripture he said that we shouldn't treat animals cruelly. Maybe the image of God isn't the reason he loves man. Maybe God loves us because were His creation.

He loves you as an individual as well as the rest of the body of Christ. While he does love mankind as a whole being in his image his unconditional love far surpasses one reason why he loves us. As the scriptures says, he knows the number of hairs on your head

Every sentient being God creates has a place in his kingdom.

The answer you are looking for relationship.

Love in itself is useless unless it is connected by relationship. I'm saying love is a relationship.

I can see love being a relationship. God LOVES us. But, I don't think this is why God loves us. That answers how God could love us... not why he would love us.

I do not think grace is a purpose. For example, I can give a homeless man a sandwich. Maybe, why I did that is because of kindness or sympathy. The act of giving charitably is gracious, but the reason (why) is because of kindness of sympathy.

Why Is GOD love Is probably the question you are asking,man can be loved by GOD because GOD Is love.
