Hi mailmandan

Are you serious? I send you all that scripture in post 21722 linked here
and all you say is that I have gone to a lot of trouble to explain away the truth and you ignore all the scripture I send you? Who is the one that is "unreachable" when your eyes are already closed to God's Word? All you have done is send back a post with the same scriptures I have already responded to and a series quotes from man over the Word of God.

How about you respond to the post I have just sent you and show me if you can, why you think what I have sent you from God's Word is not correct and we will take it from there. What do you think?

I am not interested in your references from the teachings of men. Lets share the Word of God. I love to share the Word of God but if your going to do it with a closed mind this is not sharing God's Word as you have already made up your mind. In this case only these Words are true from Jesus...

JOHN 12:
[SUP]47,[/SUP] If any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. [SUP]48,[/SUP] He that rejects me, and receives not my words, hath one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. Lets talk more using God's Word? Ok late my time chat latter

God bless

Hey im not sure if you know this and its off subject but check this out and you may already Know this

dueteronomy 18:18-19 "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him."

john 12:48-50 "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. 49For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

john 8:28 "Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

john 7:16-17 "Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself

several others like this just wanted to share that with ya and then also

acts 3:22-26 "
For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. 23And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

24Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. 25Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. 26Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Christ did not become sin. Martin Luther invented that myth...VIRTUE is never transferred anywhere in the bible, no not once......He was a spotless and blameless Lamb without sin...."Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever" If He had become sin for even one minute it would have completely negated this truth..

He bore the burden of our sin in that His works justified God's mercy and forgiveness, that we might repent and be reconciled back into covenant with our creator. Knowing this first: he wrath of God still remains upon the children of disobedience....be blessed
those lutherians have a lot to answer for.. total desorters of Gods truth.

Hi BillG...I believe this post should be the closing post of this thread, nothing else to say, it`s all in here brother...xox...I do not understand how some people do not get this, why is it so hard to see, maybe they have scales on their eyes and need to ask Jesus to remove the scales, then we can ALL sing " I once was lost, but now i am found, was blind but now i see "...xox...
Thank you for your kind words.

Given that you all know that I am Scottish I have to post the following.
Its a YouTube link, for some reason it only posts the link.
The lovely Magenta normally steps in and helps me out.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M8AeV8Jbx6M

I also want to post a variant as well

It starts with "In memory of the American fallen" but actually it applies to all the brave people who sacrificed their lives and for those willing to in order to bring freedom from oppression.

That is what Jesus did. Sacrificed himself to free us from oppression of sin, in order to reconcile us back to the Father.

Actually, it's not off topic.

It reveals how and why Jesus spoke and acted how He did.

He said, He only did what He saw, and said what He heard.

We being His body on earth are led by His Spirit and empowered by grace which is unmerited by any work other than His, and is also His Holy Spirit within, or the divine influence upon our heart, that reflects in our life, and causes gratitude.

So what are our works? The result of living and moving and having our being in Him. Who does the works? The empowerment of Holy Spirit. To which one will never hear the words, depart...I never knew you.

And am fully persuaded that iniquity is darkness. That which is found in Lucifer. And the world.

Also is a process...found in 1John, babe, young men, and fathers.

Yep...,imputed righteousness so that we might learn to have our own proper righteousness...,yet Some folks will reject even that basic biblical principle.

A word you really need to learn......

con·text
ˈkäntekst/
noun
noun: context; plural noun: contexts

  • the circumstances that form the setting for an event, statement, or idea, and in terms of which it can be fully understood and assessed.
"the decision was taken within the context of planned cuts in spending"

synonyms:
circumstances, conditions, factors, state of affairs, situation, background, scene, setting More"the wider historical context"

    frame of reference, contextual relationship;
    text, subject, theme, topic
"a quote taken out of context"

• the parts of something written or spoken that immediately precede and follow a word or passage and clarify its meaning.
"word processing is affected by the context in which words appear"

please spare me the rhetoric. man will look for every excuse he can to disobey God...I've seen dozens of them on this site alone, they seem to be endless....and I ask again, how could God expect Cain to obey, but we somehow cannot? It would appear under your theology that God should go back and apologize to Cain for commanding him to do things like rule over sin that he was not capable of....
Make no mistake....your false sinless working for dogma is identified with Cain....so...go bark somewhere else Sponge....

Seeing as limey already schooled you with 2 Cor 5.21, let me ask...I bet you do not think Jesus went to hell either, huh?

Only someone thinking they are rightoeus through their own power are stupid and shallow enough to believe they can attain God's righteousness all on their own...

[SUP]7 [/SUP]But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. [SUP]8 [/SUP]More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, [SUP]9 [/SUP]and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, [SUP]10 [/SUP]that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; [SUP]11 [/SUP]in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Here's the thing about works.

The just shall LIVE by faith. That means the rest of our lives.

We're saved by grace through faith. Through means throughout our lives.

James says faith without works is dead. So to have living faith, godly works must follow faith.

A very rough analogy would stipulate that more godly works means more faith, & less means less.

So, to put it in very simple terms, godly works does not keep our salvation alive. They are merely the "gas gauge" of how much faith we have.

When there's no godly works due to disobedience & willful rebellion, then faith is dead.

It is then, & only then, that we can lose our salvation, because we quit living by faith, one of the two major "musts" of salvation.

Every christian MUST 1. accept God's gift of grace (Jesus) AND 2. live by faith in Christ to be saved, & remain saved. Stop either one, & it's over, unless we repent.
Here is the thing...Paul said that all who think they are made complete by works after faith are fools and deceved...while pushing a false gospel that he neither preached and or endorsed....

Sponge rejects, denies and sweeps many biblical truths and words under the rug quite regularly....he also denies the imputed righteousness of Christ as well.......

BEA~UTI~FUL...

Amazing Grace was written by a former slave trader John Newton..
Once sailing a ship full of slaves from Africa his ship was hit by a fierce storm... Newton feared for his life and got down on his knees and begged the good Lord to spare his life..He promised the Lord that if he would only spare his life he would change his ways a stop trading slaves..
The storm calmed down and Newton wrote the song Amazing Grace, full of sorrow and love and hope that he would be forgiving of his sins.

One of the most powerful songs ever written and this is one of the most beautiful versions ever recorded.

Amazing Grace

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I'm found.
Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to feel
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers toils and snares
We have already come
'Twas grace that brought us safe that far
And grace will lead us home

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.

are you saying first comes the father then comes the son then comes the faith then comes the spirit ?
