Hi mailmandan...I have a funny story to tell...I got saved under just 2 years and i did not know my head from my elbow with the Lord, so i dived into my Bible and just read from any where...Anyway i came across the Sabbath i done some research on it and it took me to a Jewish site and people were explaining how they were preparing for it, i got lost in all the actions that they had to do and how much work etc they needed to do for the preparation, then i found the things that they were not allowed to do and by the time i had spent days of researching it i felt so low and heavy, i had no Joy left in me, i was told i could not do this, i could not eat that, no work what so ever, no opening mail, no nothing, i cried, i thought how can i ever enjoy my life in Christ if i have to be committed to all these things, i had failed the first day of trying , then i found true Grace, and my Joy made me dance lol, not that i am judging anyone who follows the Sabbath, i do not know enough about it, i just know that Jesus is my Sabbath every day ...xox...
So you got no joy from a 'jewish website.....can I ask you where you found 'true grace ?

Fiend,

The difference between us is that you point people to websites and the teachings of man in order to follow your traditions. We must point people to God's Word, the bible and Jesus. You can only find Jesus through His Word. The promise is you shall seek me and find me when you shall search for me with all of your heart....He must increase and I must decrease
What traditions of man am I pointing people to and teaching? I have pointed people to scripture numerous times and any websites I point out properly teach scripture. The website that you point people to "The BeastMark is coming" is nothing but SDA propaganda.

Notice:

The above is intentional, "fiend" not "friend".

Meaning? An evil spirit or demon.

Why do I suggest the intent? It had been edited and this was still left intact.

The sites offered expose your false gospel and false message no matter how often you attempt to dismiss them.

The fact remains; you follow a woman, you follow a system that bases its interpretations off of the false prophet Ellen G. White. You have been thoroughly deceived and the only thing you have is the ad nauseam false accusation that others "follow tradition and men" to cast upon others. You are following its mantra, repeating what you've been taught to say in order to keep you on the wrong track while not allowing you to take a real look at yourself or your sect.

That much is partly true because we do employ the writings and teachings of other godly men placed in the church, Ephesians 4:11ff who hold to the faith; Jude 1:3. However, we do not hold their writings above Scripture, nor do we have to use their writings as a lens in which to interpret Scripture as your group does with the writings of Ellen G. White. That is a fact you will not face.

Truth be told, your cult appeared not long ago with the likes of the Millerites and Jehovah's Witnesses rising around the same time, from the same restoration movement group as well. That being said, you have not believed the Gospel, that is a sad fact -- you're merely religiously hoodwinked into a false gospel to which only God can save you at His will.

Hi beta...Well all i can say is i admire how much effort they go to with the preparations and bringing their friends and family together each week, and it was a pleasure seeing how much joy it brought to them, i enjoyed reading the works they do to make the wonderful foods they cook, and about sharing, i found that very pleasant...But for me my Sabbath is in the Lord daily, my rest is in Him, my Joy is in the peace of living my every day life in Him, i have found true Grace from the beginning of the first word written in the Bible to the last word written, the Bible is the Grace of God, Grace is such a beautiful word and represents so many different meanings, Love, Joy, Peace, so the answer really to your question is i found my true Grace the minute i put my hands on the Word of God...xox...

We are free in Christ to observe any day or feast how we choose as Paul clearly shows in Col.2. I personally have no problems with how someone observes their own traditions and their own interpretations of some scriptures.

It's when people say that we are to keep the sabbath day as in the Old Testament way or you are sinning and dis-obeying God.

This has been talked about many times now. This is a Judaizing spirit and it is a distortion of the gospel of the grace of God in Christ. That needs to be stood against in order for us Christians to walk free in the Lord and to grow up in Him.

Jesus calls us to love others.

It appears some feel their mission is to expose and condemn others, so their approach is
undermining and slander, emotional rejection and disowning their experiences.
Jesus calls us to love others by holding out His gospel the one source of His love.

Love is of God whose name is jealous; He is the one source thereof.

The work of loving each other is not evidence we have been given a new Spirit that will never die. We walk by faith not after some work of loving another. The Jews performed that turning things upside down. They used their love as if they were the source as the required sign they experenced before they would believe. This shows they had no faith of Christ.

I had this first two years ago, someone saying my experience of reaching out to God and finding
love and acceptance, was actually finding the enemy.
A person can have a false zeal for God and there hope of the outcome of their love could mean death for another. Meaning they have found the enemy. Love rejoices with His truth acording to His actions not with our actions.

Now this takes some wisdom to see through. Firstly I was shocked for months. 2nd if I met Christ through this experience, and saving love that transformed my life through the cross and Christ, what spirit was speaking through this person and why was true love such a threat to them?
Experience is not the valuator of the things not seen . We walk by faith(Christ’s) . All of the old testament saints died not receiving the promise… not looking to their experiences but looking ahead to the promise, according to His work of faith that worked in them to both will and perform the good pleasure of His will.

Why don't you simply give me a "direct answer" to my "direct question" instead of giving me a link to a long winded post? Is that too difficult for you to handle? I answered my own question in post #24764. Judging, twisting, blah, blah, blah. You do a lot of talking and make a lot of false accusations. You can quote scripture all day long as if it applies in your defense, but all I'm hearing from you is a lot of rambling with no clear meaning, so I'll ask you my question again: *If you were standing at the gates of heaven right now and Jesus Christ asked you why He should let you into heaven, what would be your EXACT answer? No more links to long winded testimonies or quoting scripture with no explanation or SDA psycho babble. *JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION. BTY the Gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). The Gospel is not the entire Bible. In Ephesians 3, we read 1. For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles— 2 assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for you, 3 how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly. 4 When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5 which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit. 6 This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. 7 Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was given me by the working of his power.
Hello Friend,

The Gospel is indeed the Word of God. It was preached before the death burial and resurrection of Christ (e.g. Mark 1:15; 8:35; Matt4:23; Matt 9:35; 11:5; 24:14; Luke 4:18; 7:22; 20:11). The Good New (Gospel) is Jesus and Jesus is the Word of God. It is the Word of God that is the Gospel and we are to live by every Word not just the parts that suit us. (Matt 4:4; John 1-1-4; John 3:16). There is no need to respond to the rest of your post as you are not my judge and I do not judge you. God's Word will judge between us in the last days. I only wish you well and share God's Word with you because of God's love.

I agree that it is possible to have a "zeal for God" and completely miss God Himself.

This can be seen in a few ways.

One way is the "doing of good works in order to be saved or maintain being saved". The essence of this is "righteousness".

In the gospel - it is the "righteousness of God which is revealed" Romans 1:16-17

Romans 10:2-4 (NASB)
[SUP]2 [/SUP] For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge.

[SUP]3 [/SUP] For not knowing about God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

[SUP]4 [/SUP] For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

The Law was a matter of what "you did or didn't do" for righteousness - the New Covenant is all based on the work of Christ which is realized by grace through faith alone in Christ and His life in us will manifest if we feed Christians the proper nutrients of His love and grace.

There are those that think they are serving God by attacking others. They have a "zeal for God" but it is not based on the life of God. Religion will always persecute those that are following Christ Himself and living by Him alone which is by grace through faith.

Galatians 1:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] For you have heard of my former manner of life in Judaism, how I used to persecute the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it;

Hi Rosemary,

Pretty busy on Sundays, but I'm going through quick.

It's very important that we feel the freedom that Christ has given us in Him.
His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

I thought of these scriptures which you might like to look up. Maybe you know them already:

Mathew 22:1-14 The Wedding Bangquet (or The Marriage Feast)

It tells of how we are to be properly dressed so as not to be thrown out. Jesus is our proper dressing.

*****************

Galatians 3:27
Romans 13:14

We're a sinful bunch, that's for sure.
After we become saved again, we still sin.
God hates sin...but now when He looks at us He
sees His Son and not us. God Father loves us because
we love His Son.

Jesus is our covering. He keeps us safe.

1 John 4:10 (NASB)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

1 John 4:18-19 (NASB)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

[SUP]19 [/SUP] We love, because He first loved us.

God loved us even before we had the love of God poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. ( Rom. 5:5 )

Ephesians 2:4-7 (NASB)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

[SUP]5 [/SUP] even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

[SUP]6 [/SUP] and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

[SUP]7 [/SUP] so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Loving Jesus is not a requirement before God loves us. Loving Jesus - our Father's beloved Son and our Lord is a fruit of His life in us when we see His love for us.

A good example of a false zeal is in respect to Saul who had all the right credentials, enough to give him a false zeal called walking by sight after a work he performed as in out of sight out of mind ...get rid of the perceived competition. Pretend the kingdom of God is of this world.

I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feetof Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of "the law of the fathers", and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.
And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.Act 22:3

I agree. Paul also talks about those that still follow the law of Moses ( which is a form of working for righteousness and live ) and those that try to do things from their own flesh - even good things - that they will be at odds against the promise of the spirit.

Galatians 4:21-24 (NASB)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] Tell me, you who want to be under law, do you not listen to the law?

[SUP]22 [/SUP] For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the bondwoman and one by the free woman.

[SUP]23 [/SUP] But the son by the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and the son by the free woman through the promise.

[SUP]24 [/SUP] This is allegorically speaking, for these women are two covenants: one proceeding from Mount Sinai bearing children who are to be slaves; she is Hagar.

Galatians 4:28-31 (NASB)
[SUP]28 [/SUP] And you brethren, like Isaac, are children of promise.

[SUP]29[/SUP] But as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now also.

[SUP]30 [/SUP] But what does the Scripture say? "CAST OUT THE BONDWOMAN AND HER SON, FOR THE SON OF THE BONDWOMAN SHALL NOT BE AN HEIR WITH THE SON OF THE FREE WOMAN."

[SUP]31 [/SUP] So then, brethren, we are not children of a bondwoman, but of the free woman.

Anyone, if you believe Jesus Christ you will do as He teaches you, and emmulate His conduct, His Example..

Read also in the Epistles how we are to be changed from children of disobedience in darkness to childre oof obedience to His Light...........

We must labour to enter into His rest as also is in the Epistles.

Bottom line, Salvation is free, it cannot be bought or bargained for, but all who are saved will conduct themselves as such in thanksgiving to God....
