I, like other conservatives, have often wondered why some, but not all, liberals feel apologetic toward Islam. Despite the numerous Muslims that commit atrocities in the name of their beliefs, that Islam beliefs might be evil is never accepted and is always denied. It's just moderate Muslims, they say, and often conservatives and Republicans falls for this same trick. The question is "why"?
I've got some theories and not all of them are true at one time. You may not have heard of some of these, and let me know if you have not heard my ideas expressed this way.
1. Liberal apologists deep down know Islam is bad, but not just any bad. I"m talking about the big bad. I'm talking about the kind of bad that brings about Armageddon. I have also found numerous similarities between Islam beliefs and some events detailed in prophecy. If Islam was the kind of religion that brings about events of Biblical proportion, then the Bible is confirmed, and that's one thing liberals do not want to happen. They have a need to deny Islam is the big bad.
2. Liberal philosophy can't believe that people in general are bad/sinful as the Bible says. They want to believe the fault lies with human social systems. They won't believe that Muslims would choose a bad system because people, when they can, won't choose bad things. Some will choose bad things and that's easier to believe than believing all Muslims are bad.
3. Another reason - and this pains me to say it - is that some liberals admire Islam because (let's face it) Islam gets results. Remember that Islam was spread initially by the sword. What better way to achieve liberal aims but to do it by force. But, however, there is a problem in America. People choose to abide by laws and customs and the constitution, but Sharia law would bypass all that and eliminate people who oppose liberal goals and ideals. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
4. Liberals oppose Christian conservatives in every way possible even if they are correct. If some Christians say the sky is blue some liberals would argue against that and say it's an unconstitutional mixing of meteorology and religion.
