and just what reason does a Moderator need to be "pestered"?They have enough to deal with without people sending in reports or suggesting someone needs to be reported,a novel Idea would be for people to "manage" what they can "before" calling on a Moderator for action of some sort, and have "Truth" will out,
unless a "Serious" matter requires their attention and you make an "accurate" and "mature" report as in "1" Report on a matter, sending in multiple reports on the same "matter" only makes their job "tougher",doing what "we" can to sustain "Peace" on this site is just as important to the overall welfare of the entire site, because Moderators have to "follow rules too" they aren't sitting around waiting to just up and ban someone like some kind of game, they must "know" of a matter,"consider" what actions "Can" be taken, and what overall "Good" will come of their action,so please "All" of you who "like" being at this site, and "appreciate" what peace Moderators do their best to keep here,
consider their "Feelings" and what they must "Abide by",and what "You" can do to "Help" them "Keep" peace here,if we do what we can to maintain order, then it makes it "easier" for them to "maintain order",so please make all your reports on a matter "Only" Once and make it "Clear" "Accurate" and as "brief" as possible so that any "matter" you bring to their attention can be "looked into" and possibly acted upon, thank you for reading and I hope everyone will "Learn" and "apply" all that I have shared in this post,God bless you all!
Meggido keeps demanding the thread be allowed to die and/or to have it shut down, but refuses to stop posting in it himself. That seems hypocritical to me, and others as well.

Actually, what they do is suck up to the Admin by putting their "likes" all over his posts, then talk for the next 30-40 minutes about how great he is.I've watched this for years.
They go into overdrive, it's quite a sight to see.

Remember, Jesus promises to cling and hold onto us, and never let us go,

to me abiding means allowing God to work through you, depending on age, and not depending on self, when we try to do it ourselves, we are not abiding.
Amen...and the word means to be consistent or steadfast.....

how can "you" know someone has good works? And is not just religious?

You can't so what good is it?
God does not need it, You can't use it to determine someone elses salvation, so other than you examining you own faith, what good is it?

I know that I am entering this conversation way late but I thought you and the guest that you were discussing grace & works with at the beginning of this thread were having a good debate. I thought I'd provide a link to a great talk/speech that I thoroughly enjoyed. It talks about how Jesus Christ provides us grace covering all our flaws when we accept him. But he also discusses the importance of works. I think it includes both your point about works not getting us anywhere and the guests point that works still play a part. Interesting topic. Here's the link. You can either listen to it or read it. Listening to it is much more entertaining. Tell me what you think.

satan does not want us to have security, he wants us to fear, for if we fear, we are worried, and unable to fully walk in the spirit,

as paul said, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a SOUND mind, he also said we were not given a spirit of bondage again to fear, but of adoption, whereby we can cry out abba father,
Amen.....hath God said.....He loves to move people away from the simplicity that is found in Christ and the blind them through Cain-ology......Jude listed him as a false teacher...what did he push---->>>His works!

We have consistently stated that faith alone saves eternally and that any work or fruit produced are the direct result of the faith and salvation one already possesses in Christ.....eternally I might add!

I do harmonize Scriptures.

Revelation 3:2 is written to individual churches. Candlestick is the light the church has. I'm sure you've seen many churches that lost their candlestick in the community. But even more importantly is that it's a prophetic book. It's allegory, which means we don't use Revelation to reinterpret clear Scripture. We use clear Scripture to interpret Revelation.

Work out salvation with fear in trembling... but you can't stop there, keep reading... BECAUSE it is God who works within you... your work is agreeing with His work. He prepared the good works for us. He designed is for good works, but we must GROW UP in the knowledge of Him.

Salvation isn't a reward. It's a gift. Rewards are different we receive those at the Bema seat of judgment. Notice in Revelation that the kings throw their CROWNS down at His feet.

And finally even IF Revelation is talking about eternal life, which I don't believe it fully is, the transformed state of the believer is because of their faith not their good works.

A lot of people believe God can save them from eternal life, but ignore the present reality that we are now a new creation created to desire the things of God. And when people don't? It's because they've forgotten who they are. Not because they lost the Spirit of God. He never leaves us or forsakes us. Ever.
Amen....been explained to him atleast 2 to 5 times yet he cannot get past the working for dogma and or the false ideal that one can lose salvation....

Do you have something to add of value?
Sure. Do some earnest, self reflection on why my comment regarding general observations to someone else, which had nothing to do with you at all, garnered such a defensive spirit in you. Additionally, whether or not you're capable of seeing the value in any given post isn't something other users can be held responsible for. It lies in a person's ability to have an open mind, their education, being resourceful and taking away what they can from it to benefit their walk with Christ. Cheers.

It's up to you to be honest with yourself about your own actions, deflection won't work. Also, if you're not going to find anything of value in a substantial post because of your attitude, it's not something the rest of us can help you with. Working your way into a harmless observation between myself and fellow member in a negative, insecure fashion just says you have issues. There's ample value in that for you to do work on within yourself. God speed.

You have five minutes to delete a post yourself, if you so desire :)

Nothing to do with your rejection or ignorance. I joined in with an insightful observation that another member posted and I shared my own perspective of the matter. As a result of your own unresolved issues, you've become extremely defensive of what I've said which wasn't about you nor to you. Your denial hasn't changed a thing, get some help in the future, it'll do you good. Blessings.
