What's the difference?
When a person says I don't disagree, it's more of a neutral word. You're not really committing to agreement, but you're not disagreeing either.

It's might be used when someone hasn't done the research themselves so they can't agree or disagree. Or someone might not want to commit to saying they agree, so they say I don't disagree.

I had a sense you were agreeing, but instead you said I don't disagree which is neutral. But maybe you are neutral, so that's why I asked. Wanted a clarification there is all. :)

I've also noticed that when there's arguing or disagreement, the one who can't disagree doesn't want to agree. So they say they don't disagree. :) It happens a lot.

did I mention praying over cities? I don't think so.

Not even on my mind. Nor do I do it.

This is the thing you do and others too. You think your thoughts about what we are saying is true so you interject them. All the time. And you get them wrong.
what you do is look for something to find fault with

Meggido was referring to my post. I posted about praying over cities

he responded to me. I, was not addressing you but I am now.

chill

although I certainly agree that the prophecy you mention is false. that is just more of that mumbo jumbo thing they do and when it does not happen, everyone just moves on

You can justify this false prophets word all day, but it does not pass the word test....

the old interprets the new in pictures? please show something in scripture to back this up

all scripture is profitable, but if the OT prophets did not know about salvation as we do, and you said so yourself, then explain the picture they present that they are not seeing.

the Bible calls the inroads into our minds that are against God, STRONGHOLDS

Heb 8:1  Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

Heb 8:2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

Heb 8:3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer

Heb 8:4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

Heb 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Types and shadows all through the OT.

Right.

Like Jesus pointed out to His disciples in Matthew 17 that Elias had already come:

Matthew 17:

5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.

8 And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

If you are forgiven of your sins and set free under Grace at liberty.. What then do you do?

am I grateful for the forgiveness knowing what I did before was not pleasing GOD but continue therin?

Is the Spirit given to allow you to Keep or break the law of GOD? How can you Love GOD and your neighbour like the Messiah teaches?

What does GOD say those that Love Him do?

What does the Messiah say those that Love Him do?

Grace is not given to allow a free pass.. it is given to set us free to Love GOD and each other.

If we do not Repent and strengthen what remains we will not be worthy..

The Lord is going to judge us and we should strive to be found blameless.

You can say Christ is my Righteousness I believe this and trust in this and I am saved.. is your heart set on His words? Are you believing unto the saving of your soul... same to myself..

yes I believe in the birth, death and Resurrection.. all the power of GOD at work to forgive and reconcile us with Himself.. only through Faith in His Son.

The New Covenant is by Grace through Faith.. and that is How GOD writes His law on your heart.. by loving you first..
Amen, well said. What was His purpose, it certainly wasn't to free us to go sin. It was to free us to life with Him.

I would however mention that our worthiness comes from Him, not us.

its ok sis,, Megiddo is new, he was not around when all the hypergrace attack threads were running out oh hand, oncefallen has seem them, so he knows what happens, I trust his guidance, If I am wrong, oncefallen will let me know. But I have seen this brewing fort a few days with a certain member (not meggido) and knew it was going to explode. So to play it saver, and try to put an end before more people get banned, it is better to just report.
Actually Megiddo was around back then, just not with this nic. Sometimes when users create new profiles after being banned it can take a while before one of us catches it.

I would also say that scripture does not teach we are to be believing unto the saving of our souls?

Well perhaps I am not understanding what she is saying,

because it seems to me that loveme1 is saying and has said very frequently, that we must continue to

believe to be saved, and that eternal life is a reward for this ongoing belief given at the end of one's life?

Do you agree with her view?

No I don't believe her view. I wasn't sure who you quoted anyhow.

This is "saving of our souls" is not in reference to eternal life?
It is descriptive of believers, not prescriptive as in something a person does to get into heaven. There are descriptive texts and prescriptive texts. "Repent, and believe the Gospel," Mark 1:15, is an example of a prescriptive text.

Unforgiveness allows satan an advantage: 2 Corinthians 2:10-11 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Amen to that! When situations come up with people that harm us in our flesh., whether it be to our pride or to harm our bodily., the human reaction is to "zap em back" so they can't do it again. We protect ourselves as we have always done. And that is what the enemy wants. For us to take our eyes off of Jesus (who is our life) and put our eyes on ourselves once again as we have always done.

The enemy knows we can be tempted to fall back into old habits of life.,he just has to use the right bait and he knows what buttons to push since he's been doing it successfully to humans for generations causing us to kill each other and ourselves ultimately.

That is when the enemy wins the battle because we can't win using our flesh anymore. We are no longer dead spiritually we HAVE the life of Christ in us but NEED to apply it and then the battle is won. We allow Jesus to live out His life through us and we don't "react" impulsively but stop and patiently see the salvation work out in us. AWESOME!!!!

just an example... Driving in my car late at night to work going at a normal speed. Left in enough time so to drive casually. But then an slowpoke pulls out in front of me and won't get over on the right side so I can pass in the left lane! He is going 40-45 in a 65 mh zone!! ARGHH We then get to the work zone signs (it's summer so orange signs are everywhere reflecting in the headlights) so now there is only one lane all the way to work! The whole 1/2 hr. drive is taking forever and I'm going to be LATE!!! (am thinking these things while driving)

I should have passed that guy when I had the chance!! I'm shocked at my inner reaction that wants to pull up right behind him and put on my brights and get back at him!!! I'm shocked at my out and out anger at this stranger and at my weakness and wonder WOW Lord! I'm so petty in this little matter., I NEED HELP!!!!!

Then, I start to calm down and thank Him for His Holy Spirit feeding me peace that Jesus already gifted to me., for the car working so well on this road., for the job He gave., for the health He gave., for the comfortable shoes He gave... for Jodi who is always smiling and welcoming when I take over the shift. And then alls well again instead of my anger and rage there's peace and prayer.

But it takes that moment decision to either let my old human impulses take over that will DRIVE me hard., or stop a sec and SEE the Holy Spirit LEAD me. Wow what a major change my life has taken since beginning this habit. Can't allow the enemy and the flesh to drive me., but instead I can allow the Holy Spirit to lead me into the peace of Jesus. And then other doors of grace open that I would not have seen if I followed my human impulses.

I have come to the conclusion that sin is not the issue because Jesus has paid for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD......the issue is faith..........a believer is placed into the positioning of grace....Jesus stands nonstop mediating for us and the following applies....

In the GRACE you are having been saved out of faith

and

We have access by faith into this grace wherein we now stand

Where sin abounds, grace did much more abound......

Shall we continue in sin since grace abounds....God forbid

The grace of God is preemptive in a believer and bounds ahead of our sin before we sin or as we sin.....this does not give license to live a life of rebellion, but allows a believer to be usable by God and allows us to enter God's presence by prayer and boldness to obtain help in time of need......amongst other things.
decon, I'm not contesting what you say I am just asking the question, who makes us feel bad when we do wrong; is it God's law written on our heart, is it human nature, is it the conviction of the Holy Spirit or is it the devil playing guilt trips on born again believers. I understand the need to repent and confess our sin's one to another so that we can restore the fellowship with God and our brothers and sister's in Christ.

But if not for the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our life would we not some times take the easy way out, like Adam did with Eve and God. (it was that woman you gave me). We use to say that if you are prompted to confess and repent of a wrong that it is the Holy Spirit prompting you; conversely if you are overwhelmed with guilt it is likely that is the devil oppressing a believer.

I like your example of God's Grace being preemptive in the process.

God bless

Personally, a study on the conscience will open the proverbial peeps........it is that built in divine alarm which can be finely tuned and or seared beyond use......my verdict is still out on the complete role the Holy Spirit plays when it comes to sin in a believer.....I know what Jesus states as to why the Spirit convinces or convicts the world of sin and the concept of grace in my post also speaks volumes.....having said that.....A full study on the conscience of men found in the N.T. really opens one's eyes to how it can be pricked by God, be finely tuned as an alarm and warning signal, convince us of our state as in be clear and or not clear and as I cited above, seared with a hot iron and be beyond the ability to be prodded into a biblical action....

I also know that the bible is clear concerning the price of sin which has been met by Jesus on the cross.....the propitiation for the sins of the whole world and the issue has now become faith as exercised by each man on the planet.
