how would you expect everyone here to know the seriousness of your post and immediately reflect on that?
this thread is a reflection on another thread...nothing to do with your post and most certainly not intended to make light of the situation you have described

an example of how that is a true statement with regard to our freedom to chose so many things, would be the fact that we have different tastes in food. God made us individuals and He respects that fact
I wish more Christians would do the same and quit telling others how they think they ought to behave and then try to put weight on their personal convictions by saying EVERYONE should.
I am trying to point out to you that your all inclusive statement is your personal view. Most of us can tie our shoelaces without asking first if we should.

this is supposed to be a Christian website. Not a site where people are mocked and bashed who don't agree with others doctrine. This place is to be for edification and uplifting one another up. It would depend on how you would define mental illness? Schizophrenia is a Greek word that means to split the mind. This would be between the imaginations of one self and the reality of the world around us.Bipolar would be to vaccinate back and forth between the two. There are extremes in both case as well as mild. Whether we are mentally ill or bodily ill God is not worshiped or does not heal by human hands . As Christian we can have the mind of Christ to help us heal or move other to perform his will..
Cessationists are picky. They know the Holy Spirit is still bringing his gifts as he moves men to both will and do His good purpose. He also so knows how to warn us of those who would say ...."thus sayeth the lord" or "Lo is Christ is here or there as if he was still bringing new revelations.
Before his last new revelation we looked through a dark glass. This was until the last new revelation as His interpretation called the book of Revelation was was complete/perfect He has sealed up the possibly for another word, jot or tittle .
Tongues are prophecy together the understanding coming from God..not from the church

Now we have the whole/perfect will of God without any laws missing by which we could know him better. Tongues a language not known to the Jews was and is prophecy God interpreters his own understanding and is why it would be impossible to deceive them the elect with signs and lying wonders.
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
False prophets they are those who say they are receiving new revelations. His prophets heed his words of prophecy . They are given the prescription of the doctor of their souls to see more clear no more thus a dark glass . what they had it part we have the perfect it resist the plagues of this world.
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

It would seem easy for the elect who refuse to go above that which is written ,to try the spirits to see if they are of God or of men . Anyone that says thus sayeth the lord, the Lord has spoken to me auditory as a new revelation we are commanded to believe not , not not execute a faith as if it came from the true prophet

It has become my belief that not all sickness is a spirit but all are caused by them. And sometimes people who have mental problems have a spirit. In that case the spirit is the real problem and everything else is just symptoms. Other times they just need healing,whether by prayer or laying on of hands.

Well I'm from Tennessee no matter what threads appear,I still pray nonetheless,don't get discouraged a fare few ridiculous or offensive threads pop up every now and then,just do what God would want you to do,if you pay attention to people enough their ideas may trouble you but when you focus on God then you can do right and not be troubled.

the content of this thread is not vile. you don't know what it is about, but some of us do.
you are judging and not with sound judgement. how many hours have you spent in prayer for the people devastated by hurricane Maria? or Irma? 24/7, there is some sort of tragedy somewhere in the world where Christians are affected and most go by quietly unless they appear in the news forum,.
how about the earthquake in Mexico? over 300 dead I believe? this is the world we are living in and it is a sinful world but God is merciful in the mist of it
when a tragedy strikes close to home, we are all about being serious. on another day, we find humor
don't judge everyone by your current perspective.
when you tell everyone on here who has ever told a joke...especially in the singles forum...and berated them and they immediately turn around and accept your judgement and the entire forum becomes somber, then you may have something
