Back the truck up and put it in park... You are NOT seriously calling salvation, a "down payment"?!! Wowza..
Yes he is serious, Phart has alway's had a veiled dream of being a used truck salesman and a part time cook.

Seriously Phart, nothing that you say sounds remotely like the gospel in the bible. It just sounds all made up in your mind.
I am aware that the church at large is not being taught the gospel that is in the Bible. That's why few recognize the scriptures I'm sharing in this thread.

you all should be ashame of yourself.
Jesus said what He said to illustrate that the failure of Peter was part of his personality,
though sinful, so that Peter knew he could find forgiveness in Jesus if he trusted Him.

The argument was through this failure Peter could have fallen, but Jesus wanted to say
as an encouragement to all, if you have faith in Him He will forgive and pull you through.

A person without faith, will not ask and be lost.

Now this is plain, out in the open.
This emotional use of shame is shocking, over a biblical reality.
It demonstrates your desire to bring condemnation and bad feeling to people knows no
bounds for issues that are not an issue for the Lord.

As I have asked, show me where unbelief is rewarded or taken as an acceptable place
in scripture?

You yourself call unbelief the unforgivable sin. So it is somewhat hypocritical to condemn
someone for seeing a sin as Jesus describes it. But then in your confused theology, condemning
people for something you believe is no shock.....it is just another illustration of the tragic heresy
you are trapped in.

A side note about these people, is they will appear to be reasonable and then use condemning
language to create bad feeling for sensitive souls. Unfortunately for those easily deceived this
has a powerful effect and many will back off, though the believer is 100% standing on the foundations
of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen, Praise His glorious name and the false teachers are not.

The Bible does not say, As long as you keep believing. That must be in the PHart version of scripture.

It says we are given the pledge of. Our inheritance UNTIL the day of redemption. No where does it say only if we keep believing.

Yet again, You think you are stronger than God,, Then again, considering the examples you use (the car and the lasagna) it does not suprise me.
Unfortunately, the whole gospel is if you reject Christ and walk away, you have rejected
the Kingdom.

The good news was the Kingdom has come to earth, there is a place of resolution love and
hope, you can now enter in. Sinners who are far away can find forgiveness and fellowship
with God through the Holy Spirit.

The bad news is, if you taste and walk away, then you are no longer part of the Kingdom
or part of eternity. I do know how this can happen, when hurts and conflicts within become
too much. But often over time these resolve and people find a place for Christ in their
hearts once again.

To say to be in rebellion you are still in the Kingdom is just not seeing what the Kingdom
is and how we dwell in the light or we are in darkness and lost. It is not anymore simple
than this.

It is instructive that even here on cc where people are enthusiastic believers, biblical knowledge
and acceptance is clearly lacking.

Just suggesting reading the bible daily seemed a super spiritual ask???????
Knowing how balanced and refined a lot of the issues are, it is a wonder people are not aware
maybe their hearts are not aligned with the will of God, and reading His word, dwelling on it
night and day would help as Jesus says His friends would do.

But who is Jesus to these people? Lord or just a distant guy who did some legal deal so
they could enter heaven.....

Oh we recognize them, we have studied them over and over for years.

we just do not recognize your interpretation of them,

by the way, Funny how you slammed on someone because they could not answer you about your car analogy, yet when I did, you ignored it.. That seems to happen a lot when people give you a response you can not overcome, be it me or others..

again, that should be your clue that something is wrong with your system, but you never take the clue, you hide it away or excuse it.

Good reminder of what? That Jesus could not know if peter would have stayed in faith or not? Is Jesus God or is he not. Why do you people want to hunanise Jesus,

Jesus knew his faith would not fail, that is why Jesus said,

when you have turned back (not when you might turn back) Strengthen your brothers.

Jesus knew his faith would not fail, it would be tested, in a great way, But Jesu s knew God would prevail and peter would return, which he did.

you all should be ashame of yourself.
A good reminder we must be Faithful.. for the adversary is in waiting...

Adversary? There appear to be quite a few representing destructive and abrasive attitudes to
simple understanding of scripture with the aim to tear down faith and fellowship with God.

Now who does that remind you of?

I suggest people ignore these contributions, because he is a roaring lion who cannot harm us
while we stay true to our Lord and Saviour. In the eternal, you have to realise encouraging
those who follow these approaches, means we are submitting to another Kingdom.

Jesus put it like this

Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

What you are teaching is not the gospel and has been rejected down through the centuries as heresy, from Galatians 1:8-10 and forward.

Yes yes I believe, and of course you have been to all of these churches whom are not teaching "the gospel that is in the bible", yes of course I believe you because, why would anybody have any doubt about what you are teaching. And how is it that you are "aware that the church at large is not teaching the gospel in the bible;

How could you possibly have such vast knowledge and we do not. Maybe I should tell my Pastor on Sunday that Mr Phart say's you are not teaching the gospel that is in the bible, yes! This is very disturbing news from you.

And it is statements like this that shows everyone here that you are a false teacher. Do you even attend a born again Spirit filled bible believing Church; I think its very doubtful according to your evaluation of the "church at large." More Lasagna anyone.

I have read this claim before but never actually seen examples.
What I do observe is failure to acknowledge the simple points being made.
The answer if the context when applied is not valid in spiritual things could be a valid
approach to take, but it is not taken, just statements of rejection and abuse.

That is not disagreeing on interpretation, it is just disrespecting and dishonouring an
individual. I do not understand why this is thought to be good behaviour Jesus would
follow and approve of.

I suspect the truth is when they have no answer, which they do not, it is either this
abuse or the ignore button.

If you walk in the Spirit in truth and love, my friends, there is no weapon that can stand
against you. Why? Because this is a spiritual and emotional reality, talking about where
we are in life and self knowledge why we are here and what we are looking for, Jesus.

So take heart, for standing for the Lord and His word carries great reward and is mentioned
in the temple of our King, for such as us have been doing this since the Lord expressed His
word upon the earth. God himself takes note of what we say and do, for His love knows no
bounds or places it will not go. Thankyou Father for this great love you have given us, Amen.

May we today, bring glory to your name and your glorious gospel of revelation, truth and
forgiveness. Amen.

Tbh.. the more I read such comments the more GOD strengthens me in Christ.. the more the Truth shines in my heart... knowing that many here mock, belittle and accuse.. and run in packs yet I feel no love for the Truth from them.. no provoking each other to Love and do good.. but GOD be thanked there are labourers sent who Love GOD and Christ and their Truth.. And may you continue to shine that light and share that salt my friends.

The Children of GOD fear no man.. for they know whom they love and serve and He is the Almighty.. who is their refuge, their strength their boldness.. Grace and Peace in our Lord.

Unfortunately I have been to empty churches who do not preach repentance and salvation.
I have been to churches where the pastor no longer believed in Christ.
I have heared sermons which to not mention salvation or Christ in a biblical way once.

There are real atheist churches in Canada according to my brother.
The number of people on cc bringing heretical theology and miss-understanding of the basics
also testifies how far this reality has progressed.

Even in my own church the ability to discern between WOF, NAR, H-grace, is sorely lacking.
Just look at TBN and the number of subscribers they have and the type of theology most follow.

If anything this growth in apostacy and worldliness is increasing not decreasing.
There are a faithful group though who are mobilising and pursuing the word of God, so God is
moving also, Amen.

In this crazy discussion I love good lasagne.
My wife makes a great meat based, vegetarian and vegan versions that make me
feel hungry as I type.

So I praise God for His provision of grace and love, whatever forms it comes in,
and for the reminder we are blessed so much with supermarkets and food from
around the world to our doorstep. We can live like Kings, what a King is He.

Excuse me Phart, I think you are a nice guy but you are spreading a false gospel. And I have been curious from the beginning about your screen name and avatar; the photo appears to be of the comedian Phil Hartman who was shot dead by his wife in Encino, California and your screen name appears to be an abbreviated spin off of Phil Hartman's name (PHart). And you expect everyone
here to believe what you are teaching on a world wide forum. Not me.

I believe this is his namesake, though obviously not the actual commedian.
Part of the reason for avatars is to stop abuse because people can be very
abusive on public forums where anonymity is provided.

If one admires someones sense of humour etc why not?

It is amazing that an abuser would think someone would be more open, unless they
really think their victims are that stupid, lol. But often victims with a good heart
think bullies and abusers will be nice if they know who their victims really are, when
in reality it will just get worse.

It is ironic how this works, but then abusers learn this from the cycle of abuse they
get into, and how to get away with it.

You have to think, on a public forum like this, you never know who is on the other
side and what they are like, but in Christ we always think the best, but we are wise
to know caution.
