I have told you twice already the reason I have asked you two questions is so I do not misunderstand you. From what you have shown in your posts and questions to others is that you expect people to answer your questions but ignore questions asked of you.

It is ok if you cannot answer them. I will answer them for you. You are not here to discuss anything you are here to present your interpretation of God's Word and are not willing to share and be open to what others have to share. This is ok you have answered my real questions and helped me to have a better understanding of where you are coming from...
The two questions I asked you earlier actually answer your own question which is why I asked them in the first place to see your response and your reason in asking them.

The first questions was..........

1. Do you know the difference between God's Law (10 commandments) and the laws of Moses (Mosaic Law)? If you do could you please explain what they are and what they mean to you?

Let's see what God's Word says..............

There was two sets of laws that were given to God’s people in the Old Testament scriptures.

(1) God’s Law (10 commandments) pointed out what sin was and the penalty of sin which is death. It was never a cure for sin in the Old Testament as well as in the New. It only gives a knowledge of what sin is and righteousness (right doing) (Rom 3:20; James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23; Psalms 119:172).

(2) The laws of Moses was the second set of laws and included all the civil, ceremonial, and ecclesiastical laws. These laws could not tell you what sin was this was the job of God’s Law, however the laws of Moses were the prescriptive cure for sin in the Old Covenant. These laws included all the Levitical and ceremonial laws, sacrificial burnt offerings for sin, annual festivals and earthly sanctuary services for sin. These laws were the cure for sin so the sinner could be made right with God. These where all prophetic in nature, teaching the plan of salvation which pointing to Jesus as the true lamb of God and our great high priest and His Work on our behalf in the Heavenly Sanctuary. (Leviticus 1; 3-12; 14-17; 22-23; Number 6-8; 15; 28-29; Deuteronomy 12; 33; Exodus 25:8; John 1:29; 36; Revelation 5:6; 1 Corinthians 5:6-7; Hebrews 8:2-13; 9:1-28)

From the above it can be seen that God’s Law was written on stone and the laws of Moses in a book. God’s Law is forever and only points out what sin is but was never a cure for sin (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23).

The laws of Moses included all the ceremonial and ecclesiastical laws that were the cure for sin with all the sin offerings and earthly Sanctuary services, annual festivals and sin offerings which were prophetic in nature and temporary pointing to the life, death, resurrection of Jesus and his role as the true lamb of God and your great high priest to atone for our sins (John 1:29; 36; Revelation 5:6; 1 Corinthians 5:6-7; Hebrews 8:2-13; 9:1-28).

Ephesians 2:15 and Colossians 2:14 The handwriting of ordinances (ceremonial laws and ordinances written in a book) is referring to the ceremonial, ecclesiastical laws of Moses which included the Jewish annual festivals and sin offerings that pointed to Jesus.

The Greek words used here is handwriting G5498 χειρόγραφον; cheirographon; which means; hand written legal document which is combined with ordinance G1378 δόγμα dogma dog'-mah From the base of G1380; which means; civil, ceremonial or ecclesiastical law: - decree;

The Greek meaning of handwriting of ordinances in v14 of Colossians 2 and v15 in Ephesians 2 is a hand written legal document or book of civil, ceremonial and ecclesiastical laws. These are the laws referred to in verse 14 that have been erased and are nailed to the cross.

What is the legal written document or book (handwriting of ordinances) that includes the civil, ceremonial and ecclesiastical laws referring to?

Why were the ceremonial laws of Moses (handwriting of ordinances) nailed to the cross?...............

Jesus was our true sacrifice for our sins and the saviour of the world that the ceremonial laws of Moses all pointed to. When Jesus came and died the old Covenant laws of Moses that pointed to Jesus and the plan of salvation was fulfilled (John 1:29; 36; Rev 5:6; 1Cor 5:6-7; Heb 8:2-13; 9:1-28). Jesus is our true Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and our sacrifice for our sins. It is our sins as well as the ceremonial laws of Moses that were nailed to the cross at the death of Jesus (Colossians 2:14; Ephesians 2:15; John 3:16).

God's Law is forever and the standard of the Old and New Covenants and the Judgement to come.....

The Law of God (10 commandments) is the work of God (Exodus 32:16) whatsoever God does is forever nothing can be added to it or taken away (Ecclesiastes 3:14). God's Law is perfect converting the soul (Psalms 19:7). It is the very foundation of the Old and New Covenants (Exodus 20:1:17, Hebrews 8:10-12). God's Law was spoken by God himself to His people (Exodus 20:1-22). Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 25:35). Gods Law is still in force today (Psalms 111:7-8, Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1 John 3:5-8, 1 John 2:3-4 etc.). The Law of God reveals sin to us so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4). It is the great standard of the judgement (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31). God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and the character of God and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood (Galatians 3:24; Revelation 1:5). God writes His Law in our hearts so that we become like him and we follow him because we love him (Heb 8:10-12) LOVE is the fulfilling (doing) of God's Law (Romans 13:10). This is why Jesus says to those that love him If you love me keep my commandments (John 14:15). He that says I know him and keeps not his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him (1 John 2:4) Obedience to God’s Law is the fruit of faith that works by love and fulfills

Love is the fulfilling of God's Royal Law.....

Matthew 22:36-40
(The two great commandments of love that fulfills God's Law)
36, Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? 37, And he said unto him, (1) Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38, This is the first and great commandment. 39, And the second like unto it is this, (2) Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40, On these two commandments the whole law hangs, and the prophets. (Jesus is quoting from Deut 6:5 and Lev 19:18)

Jesus says we have (1) a duty of love to God as well as a (2) duty of love to our neighbor in Matthew 22:36-40 and on these two commandments hang all the Law and the prophets....

Now let's look at the message of Jesus to the rich young ruler. I believe this is the same message that can be a blessing or a curse to you because you hold the same belief that if you only have to follow the 2nd great commandment of love to your neighbor...

Matthew 19:16-26
16, And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17, And he said unto him, Why call thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandment(s) <Plural more then one referring to the two Great one love to God and neighbor>. 18, He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19, Honor thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
<Jesus first quotes our duty of love in the 2nd Great commandment>
20, The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? <The rich young ruler followed this commandment but deep down inside he knew he lacked something> 21, Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22, But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. 23, Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24, And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 25, When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26, But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

This was the message to the rich young ruler because he believed he practiced love to His neighbor which is the second great commandment and this is what you believe, but Jesus tells him Go sell all that you have and give it to the poor and come and follow me. The rich young ruler went away sorrowful because he had great possessions.....

What is the meaning?....................

The rich young ruler believed he was following God because he was obeying God's 2nd great commandment which is our duty of Love our neighbor. He quotes the commandments the are our duty of love to our neighbor but deep down inside he knew that something was wrong, so he went and asks Jesus, What must I do to that I may have eternal life? Jesus then shows him that he loved his possessions more than God and was not obeying the 1st great commandment and duty of love to God. His God and idol was his possessions which he loved more than God.

Was the rich young ruler in a saved state?

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. He was sorrowful because Jesus showed him he was not really following his duty of Love to God (1st great commandment) and goes on to say... Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

If we break one of God's commandments of love on which all the Law and the prophets hang, we stand guilty before God of breaking all of them... If we reject God's Word then God's Word will judge us in the last days..

There are two great commandments. One is our love to God (Exodus 20:1-11; Deut 6:5; Matt 22:36-40) and the second is love to our neighbor (Exodus 20:12-17; Lev 19:18; Matt 22:36-40) Love is indeed the fulfilling of the entire Law. However, if we are breaking any of God's commandments it shows us that we do not have the love of God in us. Only by faith that works by love is God's Law fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit and is why we need to be born again......

On the two Great commandments of love hang all of God's Law......

Matthew 22:36-40

36, Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? 37, And he said unto him, (1) Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38, This is the great and first commandment. 39, And a second like unto it is this, (2) Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40, On these two commandments the whole law hangs, and the prophets.

Duty of love to our neighbor.....

Romans 13:8-10

8, Owe no man anything, save to love one another: for he that loves his neighbor hath fulfilled the law. 9, For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 10, Love works no ill to his neighbor: love therefore is the fulfillment of the law. (this is the 2nd great commandment of love to our neighbor)

James 2:8-12
8, Howbeit if ye fulfill the royal law, according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well: 9, but if ye have respect of persons, ye commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors. 10, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is become guilty of all. 11, For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou dost not commit adultery, but killest, thou art become a transgressor of the law. 12, So speak ye, and so do, as men that are to be judged by a law of liberty.

If we are knowingly and willfully breaking any of God's commandments we do not have God's love in us. This includes your duty of love to God in the first great commandment. If you break the 4th commandment you are not fulfilling your duty of your love to God. God is calling us to repent and believe the Gospel for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand....

The second question to be continued...........

Hi Lovegodforever,

I know what the Mosaic law is, I know it has case law, cultic law and the moral aspect. But lets look at your question:

1. Do you know the difference between God's Law (10 commandments) and the laws of Moses (Mosaic Law)? If you do could you please explain what they are and what they mean to you?

The ten commandments are part of the Mosaic law..don't take my word for it:

Exodus 34:28English Standard Version Anglicised (ESVUK)

28 So he was there with the Lord for forty days and forty nights. He neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.

and

[h=1]Deuteronomy 4:13English Standard Version Anglicised (ESVUK)[/h][FONT=&quot]13 And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments, and he wrote them on two tablets of stone.

Christ fulfilled ALL the law of Moses (Mosaic law), not just the case law and cultic practices, but the demands of the moral and the curses it brought upon those who broke it. Once for all time! BTW I don't think the law was abolished it was fulfilled by Christ (all of it). And it passed away for the better New Covenant Hebrews 8:13. Now remember the above scriptures Ex 34:28 & Deut 4:13!

This is what Jesus means here:

17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfil them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

But as man [Jesus]. he was is active human faithfulness, the second Adam whose obedience has over thrown the first Adam's disobedience. In this sense, our faith and obedience have value because of the faithful obedience of the saviour on our behalf.

It is his response, not ours, which fulfills the covenant. Our faith involves abandoning reliance on our own works and instead entrusting ourselves to the faithfulness of someone else.....(The work of Christ - contours of christian theology- R. Leetham)
Again you provided reams of scripture, and the very scriptures I agree with.

We are not under the Mosaic covenant. I don't know why you insist on separating the ten commandments from the Mosaic law, Moses didn't, and Jesus fulfilled them (you never provided any proof whatsoever to the contrary).

Now remember I am not saying the Decalogue is not profitable as I have already stated clearly in other posts!!!!!! You seem to think I am saying different. [/FONT]

After all of that the law is not done away with. It still exists since Jesus stated he came not to break the law and the prophets but to fulfill it. What his sacrifice did was give to the believers escape from the penalty of the law. Those not accepting his sacrifice are under the penalty of the law.

Hi Endoscopy,

Thanks for pointing that out. I think both sides would agree with you if you have been reading along. But that's not the debate that's going on. It's the nature and extent of the law in regards to one who is already saved.

Only those accepting Jesus as their savior. It is that simple and complex. Accepting Jesus removes us from the penalty of the existing law Jesus said he came to fulfill. Those not accepting his sacrifice leave themselves under the judgment of God according to the law. That is what Jesus was stating.

Hi Endoscopy,

I haven't a clue what you mean... "Only those accepting Jesus as their saviour"......What is that referring to?

Peace on this day of the Lord to all who attend Him.......amen

Isa 54:6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

Isa 54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

Isa 54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.

Isa 54:9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

Isa 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

Today is a day the Lord has made; let us rejoice therein.

Shalom yom hayom. Peace this day. Shalom ad olam. Peace forever. amen..

Hello phil36,

The two questions I answered for you that you refused to answer earlier which answers your question are from posts # 3525; 3537; 3538; 3539; 3540 your question has been clearly answered through God's Word and all the scriptures provided in those posts. You still have not addressed each of these posts I sent you or have you answered any questions in relation to these posts. I have added the linked post # and wait for your reply above.

Let's have a look at your current post........

You try to answer the first question which was............

1. Do you know the difference between God's Law (10 commandments) and the laws of Moses (Mosaic Law)? If you do could you please explain what they are and what they mean to you?

by saying...............

The ten commandments are part of the Mosaic law..don't take my word for it:
Exodus 34:28English Standard Version Anglicised (ESVUK)
28 So he was there with the Lord for forty days and forty nights. He neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.

and

Deuteronomy 4:13English Standard Version Anglicised (ESVUK)
13 And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments, and he wrote them on two tablets of stone.
Now let's get to it.......

The question was do you know the difference between God's Law (10 commandments) and the laws of Moses (Mosaic law)?

How do the verses you quoted from Exodus 34:28 and Deuteronomy 4:13 support your view that God's Law is the Mosaic law? This only shows me you did not read the posts I sent you because if you did you would see the difference between God's Law being forever and the Mosaic law being temporary Shadows of things to come all pointing to Jesus...

So you have not seen the scriptures sent earlier or have you answered the questions. Let's look at is again..............

Why is God's Law the 10 commandments called the Royal Law or God's Law and the law of Moses the Mosaic law?.....

Very simply God's Law (10 commandments) is solely the work of God alone (Exodus 32:16). God compiled the 10 commandments and wrote them on two tables of stone with His own finger (Exodus 31:18; Deuteronomy 4:13). God spoke the 10 commandments personally to all of God's people (Exodus 20:1-17).........

God's Law (10 commandments) is the work of God himself written by God himself with his own finger ( Ex 32:16; Ex 31:18; 32:16; Ex 20:1-22; Ex 31:18; Deut 4:13 )God Law was to be separate from everything else (including the laws of Moses). God’s Law was placed inside the Ark of the Covenant the laws of Moses were written in a book by Moses and placed at the side of the Ark of the Covenant and was the work of Moses ( Deut 10:5; Deut 31:24; 25 ). Whatsoever God does is forever nothing can be added to it or taken away ( Ecc 3:14 ). God's Law is perfect converting the soul ( Ps 19:7 ). It is the very standard of the Old and New Covenants ( Ex 20:1:17, Heb 8:10-12 ). God's Law was spoken by God himself to His people ( Ex 20:1-22 ). Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away ( Matt 25:35 ). Gods Law is still in force today ( Ps 111:7-8, Rev 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1John 3:5-8, 1John 2:3-4 etc. ). The Law of God reveals sin and righteousness to us so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour ( James 2:11; Rom 7:7; Rom 3:20; 1John 3:4; Psalms 119:172) . It is the great standard of the judgement ( Ecc 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1John 3:4, Acts 17:31 ). God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and the character of God and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood ( Gal 3:24; Rev 1:5 ). God writes His Law in our hearts so that we become like him and we follow him because we love him ( Heb 8:10-12 ; ) LOVE is the fulfilling (doing) of God's Law ( Rom 13:10 ). Still in force today ( Ps 111:7-8, Rev 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1John 3:5-8, 1John 2:3-4 etc, etc .) God’s people obey it through faith (Rev 14:12)

What was the purpose of God's Law (10 commandments)...............God’s Law (10 commandments) pointed out what sin was and the penalty of sin which is death. It was never a cure for sin in the Old Testament as well as in the New and made nothing perfect. It only gives a knowledge of what sin is and righteousness (right doing) (Rom 3:20; James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23; Psalms 119:172).

and.........

Mosaic law (law of Moses) was the work of Moses (inspired by God), written by Moses in a book and placed in the side of the Ark of the Covenant (Deut 31:24-26). Included all the Levitical laws, annual festivals, sacrificial laws for sin offerings, ceremonial laws, civil and sanitation and health laws as well as providing the background to the creation of the world, the fall of mankind and God's plan of to save mankind from sin.

What was the purpose of the Mosaic laws or Laws of Moses?...............

The Mosaic laws or the laws of Moses could not tell you what sin was this was the job of God’s Law, however the laws of Moses were the prescriptive cure for sin in the Old Covenant before Jesus came and all pointed to the cross. These laws included all the Levitical and ceremonial laws, sacrificial burnt offerings for sin, annual festivals and earthly sanctuary services for sin, the civil and sanitary and health laws. The Levitical, ceremonial and sacrificial laws were the cure for sin so the sinner could be made right with God. These where all prophetic in nature, teaching the plan of salvation which pointing to Jesus as the true lamb of God and our great high priest and His Work on our behalf in the Heavenly Sanctuary. (Leviticus 1; 3-12; 14-17; 22-23; Number 6-8; 15; 28-29; Deuteronomy 12; 33; Exodus 25:8; John 1:29; 36; Revelation 5:6; 1 Corinthians 5:6-7; Hebrews 8:2-13; 9:1-28)

and you continue.....................

Some of what you are saying is correct. Jesus did fullfill the Mosaic Law but not your interpretation of it. From what I see your interpretation is that you believe that God's Law is included in the laws of Moses. Now here is where you run into trouble. This is not biblical as I have demonstrated above. You also believe from what I have read from you that because Christ fulfilled God's Law and obeyed it perfectly (which he did) his death means that obedience to God's Law is no longer required. Now you can't have it both way. If you say no I do not believe that than you run into the Sabbath problem because the 4th commandment is the 7th Day Sabbath which is one of the ten. None of us are saved by the things that we do but if we do not have faith that works by love freeing us from sin to follow him who loves all, then God's Word says you do not know God because obedience is the fruit of faith and the gift of God's grace to sinful mankind.

What you have said however has some truth. Jesus life, death and resurrection fulfilled the shadows of the Mosaic laws (laws of Moses) His life of perfect obedience to God's Law (10 commandments) fulfilled our death penalty for sin (Justification) but the good news if the the Gospel of faith is the power of God unto salvation from sin to everyone who believes. We have a Savior who can free us to love and be free from sin to follow him because he creates us to love as he loved us. The New Covenant is God's Law fulfilled in us through faith that works by love because love is the fulfilling of the Law in us who walk in his Spirit.

You have not answered my posts and if you cannot answer them and brush all these posts and scripture aside you may well do this but it is the Word of God that will judge ua all in the last days (John 12:47-48)

LESSONS FROM MATT 5: AND THE NEW COVENANT
[SUP]
16,[/SUP]
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

[SUP]17,[/SUP] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
[SUP]18,[/SUP] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (Matt 5:17-18)

[SUP]19,[/SUP] Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
[SUP]20,[/SUP] For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
[SUP]21, [/SUP]You have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
[SUP]22, [/SUP]But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
[SUP]27,[/SUP] Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
[SUP]28,[/SUP]But I say unto you, that whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

The Law of God (10 commandments) is the work of God (Ex 32:16) whatsoever God does is forever nothing can be added to it or taken away (Ecc 3:14). God's Law is perfect converting the soul (Ps 19:7). It is the very foundation of the Old and New Covenants (Ex 20:1:17, Heb 8:10-12). God's Law was spoken by God himself to His people (Ex 20:1-22). Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matt 25:35). Gods Law is still in force today (Ps 111:7-8, Rev 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1John 3:5-8, 1John 2:3-4 etc.). The Law of God reveals sin to us so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour (Rom 3:20; 1John 3:4). It is the great standard of the judgement (Ecc 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1John 3:4, Acts 17:31). God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and the character of God and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood (Gal 3:24; Rev 1:5). God writes His Law in our hearts so that we become like him and we follow him because we love him (Heb 8:10-12) LOVE is the fulfilling (doing) of God's Law (Rom 13:10). This is why Jesus says to those that love him If you love me keep my commandments (John 14:15).

HEB 8: (new covenant)

[SUP]10,[/SUP] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: [SUP]11,[/SUP] And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. [SUP]12,[/SUP] for I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

God Fulfilling His Law (10 commandments) IN US through Faith?

The fulfilling of the God's Law in us who walk not after the flesh (carnal mind = sin) but after the Spirit (new mind with God's Law written on the heart) (Rom 8:1). That the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled IN US who walk not after the flesh (carnal mind = sin) but after the spirit (Rom 8:4; 6). Salvation is God fulfilling his Law in us saving us from sin. Finally the result of God's salvation can be seen as " Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus (Rev 14:12). God's people with the character of Jesus saved by faith through love. Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:34-36)

If you are partaking of the New Covenant and you have been born again and are walking in the Spirit. You will not steal right and murder? Great let’s look at what you have just said. These are part of God’s Law right (the 10 commandments). You have just agreed that if you are following God under the New Covenant then you will not murder and steal. So let’s look at all of God’s Law applying the same thinking (Ex 20:1-17). This indeed is the new covenant experience spoken of in Jer 31:31-34; Eze 36:26-27; Heb 8:10-12; 10:16-17.

[SUP]33[/SUP]I will put my law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. No more shall every man teach his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” This is the law of love to God and to our neighbour.

So now under the new covenant when God changes our heart; we will love God and our neighbour.

if we love God we will not steal
if we love God we will not murder
if we love God we will not commit adultery
if we love God we will not lie
if we love God we will honor our parents
if we love God we will not covet
if we love God we will have no other gods except our God who loves us
if we love God we will not make unto any idols
if we love God we will not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain
if we love God we will Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy as he asked us to!

God’s Law has always been central to both the Old and the New Covenant. It is only by the operation of God as we have Faith in His Word that God changes our hearts so that we can love him and love our neighbour that we can walk in his ways. This is why Jesus says its only if you love me we can keep hid commandments (John 14:15)

Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psa 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Psa 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
Psa 51:13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Love is the fulfilling of the God’s Law in us who walk by faith that works by love and is why love is the fulfilling of God’s Law in us who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit….

This is why Jesus says if you love me keep my commandments; He that says he knows him and keeps not his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. (John 14:15; 1 John 2:2-4). This includes the 7[SUP]th[/SUP] Day Sabbath which is one of the 10 (Exodus 20:8-11)

May God bless you all as you seek him who loves all through his Word!

Happy Sabbath to all his people...

i agree with you i haven't read all of your past posts but i know from my experience that you can give as much proof and logical evidence for this topic as you want but unless the person has a heart that is willing to hear they will find a way to reject the truth.
It is simple and the bible is clear that the law does not save us but we don't make it void. Jesus fulfilled the law perfectly because we couldn't. Jesus loves us and imputes His righteousness on us.

If there is no law (since the cross), there is no sin which means we don't need forgiveness or a savior.
If there is a law that points out sin than we can continue in sin that grace might abound or we can love God and obey His law.

Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Joh_14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
1Jn_5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Rev_12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev_14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Hi Dan_473

Most definitely, all Scripture is God breathed and profitable.... I think thats why it would be good for lovegodforever to explain why he separates the ten commandments from the law covenant cf. Ex 34:28; deut 4:13 with Heb 4:18.

I believe the law is very profitable, for all believers. But only in light of what Christ has done, is doing and will do (Prophet,Priest and King). I see no mention of the work of Christ in those who demand that we follow the ten commandments, in fact Christ doesn't even seem to be central to their thinking..Law is.

But we will have to wait and see what answers are given.

yes, I think studying the law, and all of God's word, is profitable, so I am interested to see what answers are given.

I was talking about things found is resources like dictionaries. Yes, there are many scriptures that talk about things like God's name lasting forever.

In Romans 9:6, it may be the Father, or it may be the Trinity. To be honest, I'm not sure.
and how could theos be trinity, trinity is not found a single time in Scripture, original text or translation.

But when I said this;

I was talking about this and the usage of theos;

Joel 2:32, And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of יהוה shall be delivered. For on Mount Tsiyon and in Yerushalayim there shall be an escape as יהוה has said, and among the survivors whom יהוה calls.”

Acts 2:21, “And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of יהוה shall be saved.”
Psalm 116:13, "We will take the cup of salvation, and we will call upon Your Name, O YHWH.”

I believe you'd asked my if the Father was being talked about in Romans 9:6.

Is the Father being talked about in the usage of theos?
"theos" ought not to be translated "trinity", imo. "theos" could here be refering to the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit. Or, it could be refering to all three acting in unison. So, I recommend translating "theos" as "God", which is the practice of pretty much all english Bible translations.

OK my fault it kurios
no problem, and it brings up an interesting situation.

when the apostles and prophets write the new testament, they always use kurios when quoting a passage from the old testament where YHWH is used.

Can you give me some locations were you believe theos is used to directly speak of Yahshua/Jesus or the holy Spirit? not like, the fullness of theos or Iosus and theos are one, because Scriptures says; John/Yahanan 17:21-24, "That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us..." certianly we are not "theos"
and whay do you reccomend I use God? Why not Most High? God is a generic term, God and god are pronounced the same way making no distinction of the Creator of the heavens and earth but a general term. Also are you ok with the use of YHWH in OT verses and NT quotes of those verses?

on the subject of the proposed division between God's law and Moses' law,

possibly the first commandment given is,
Be fruitful, and multiply

would that fit into God's law or Moses' law?

That topic was only fun when you were grilling me huh?

OK, so again you call Moses Law, yes in the days of Moses there was a levitical priesthood, that is not more, yet the Laws are and always have been YHWH's.

The Commande to be fruitful and multiply, just like the setting apart of the Sabbath day, both in Genesis/Bereshith (the beginning) are of Yah.

Also here is a verses to show you that Moses Law was Yah's Law given through Moses;

Malachi/Malakyah 4:1-4, “For look, the day shall come, burning like a furnace, and all the proud, and every wrongdoer shall be stubble. And the day that shall come shall burn them up,” said יהוה of hosts, “which leaves to them neither root nor branch. 2 “But to you who fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall. 3 “And you shall trample the wrongdoers, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” said יהוה of hosts. 4 “Remember the Torah of Mosheh, My servant, which I commanded him in Ḥorĕḇ for all Yisra’ĕl – laws and right-rulings."

Psalm 19:7-11, “The Torah of יהוה is perfect, bringing back the being; The witness of יהוה is trustworthy, making wise the simple; The orders of יהוה are straight, rejoicing the heart; The command of יהוה is clear, enlightening the eyes; The fear of יהוה is clean, standing forever; The right-rulings of יהוה are true, They are righteous altogether, More desirable than gold, Than much fine gold; And sweeter than honey and the honeycomb. Also, Your servant is warned by them, In guarding them there is great reward.”

Yahshua is "theos" John 1:1 Interlinear: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God;

the holy spirit is connected with "theos" only here, afik
“Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to
lie to the Holy Spirit
and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4 While you kept it, didn’t it remain your own? After it was sold, wasn’t it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You haven’t
lied to men, but to God.”

Acts 5:4 Interlinear: while it remained, did it not remain thine? and having been sold, in thy authority was it not? why is it that thou didst put in thy heart this thing? thou didst not lie to men, but to God;'

do you believe the holy spirit is God?

"theos" is a general term in greek.
"God" is a general term in english.
but "YHWH" represents a personal name.

I don't understand the phrase "the fullness of theos or Iosus and theos are one"

and do you think this "For look, the day shall come, burning like a furnace, and all the proud, and every wrongdoer shall be stubble. And the day that shall come shall burn them up" already happened?

if not why ignoree when YHWH says Remember? "Remember the...which I commanded..."

same thing we are told about the Sabbath, remember;
