Revelation 20:12-13, “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before יהוה. And the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and Death and Sheol delivered up the dead which were in them. And they were judged, every man, according to their works.”

"every man" is word #1538 – hekastos - Strong's Concordance hekastos: each, every Original Word: ἕκαστος, η, ον Part of Speech: Adjective Transliteration: hekastos Phonetic Spelling: (hek'-as-tos) Short Definition: each, every one Definition: each (of more than two), every one.

Revelation 22:12, “And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work will be.”
Yep.....and those in Rev 20 are not saved......obvious by the context....two judgments....one for the saved "BEMA SEAT" one for the LOST "GREAT WHITE THRONE"
2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, that each one may receive his reward according to what he has done in the body, whether righteous or evil.”

judgment seat” is word #G968 - béma: a step, raised place, by impl. A tribunal, Original Word: βῆμα, ατος, τό, Part of Speech: Noun, Neuter, Transliteration: béma, Phonetic Spelling: (bay'-ma), Short Definition: the space covered by a step of the foot, a tribunal, Definition: an elevated place ascended by steps, a throne, tribunal.

Which is exactly why they remain saved despite their struggle with besetting sin--they still believe in and trust in Jesus for deliverance. And they will get it, because God is able to do that. But the person who abandons dependence on Christ and returns to the world as the response to their struggle with the temptations and trials and loves of this world will be lost, not saved on the Day of Judgment. No prior confession of trust in Christ will save them. They don't believe in Christ anymore for his sacrifice to be remaining for them to rescue them from the coming wrath of God on his enemies (Hebrews 10:26-31).
I might add that I believe it isn't that people consciously refuse or forget to trust in Christ as much as it is people creating a different Christ in their minds. One who doesn't need repentance or works worthy of repentance. One who doesn't care about the Commandments of God. One who saves everybody regardless of doctrine, or traditions of men they may preach or follow.

A jesus who rejects the Old Testament. A Jesus who cherry picks scripture and erases and ignores whatever scripture may call a certain man made doctrine or tradition in question.

A New jesus, different from the one taught in the Old Testament, that lived in the New Testament.

I believe this to be the root of most disagreements between those who hold ALL Scripture as Sacred, and those who only believe the few scriptures that can be used to support doctrines and traditions of men.

To many, there is no wrath of God to come because the Gospel where His Wrath is revealed from "Faith to Faith" is ignored.

Food for thought PH. Good post.

The weird thing with this split theology, is one moment sin is the issue, the next it is just believing
in Christ or not. The great white throne is judgement for deeds done.

Yet these guys say there is now no judgement for sin, just Christ. But that is not what scripture
says. And what is judgement for? To bring justice to bear, to make sure there is some equality
in the world. For those who think the lake of fire just tortures people, are the layers of torture
depending on the depth of your sins?

My experience of fire is the destruction of what is being burnt, so it no longer exists.
Jesus says we should be scared of He who can destroy the body and soul.

But why is it total destruction is so difficult? Is it because secretly they want revenge
on all who have hurt them, and the feeling people are destroyed feels like an escape.

What I came to see is the ironic thing is heaven is so great and the Lord so perfect there
is no other place one would rather be. So what God does with those who fail to know Him
I leave in His hands, but it makes no sense to me to torture people for eternity, so being
lost, disfunctional and unable to walk in righteousness.

But then these same believers do not believe that is even possible, so they are already lost,
and faith has not brought new life to their hearts yet.

This reminds me life in the Kingdom is about a reality, love at work in our hearts.
It echoes in the Lord and in eternity. We are not joining a belief club, but entering into the
essence of the Lord, a spiritual dimension that is eternal.

What is odd to me, is some believe once they have started to peceive this reality, it can
never go away, when the whole nature of the Kingdom is about desiring to abide, choosing
with ones whole heart to bring glory to the King. To deny this, is to leave this Kingdom,
to walk away. In Gods law it is embedded the basis of belonging, not because we must, but
because He is worthy, He is love, His ways are perfect, and beautiful, He is the saviour, the
Lord Most High, who bent down to save to lost.

Now it strikes me the sin of some is deemed of more importance than the law of the Kingdom, so
God must honour the sinners, though they are lost in sin because they have not grasped the
Kingdom and who He is. The walking away is testimony enough of the confusion still in their
hearts. A pure stream is still a pure stream, whether we drink from it or not.
It can cleanse us and work through our lives, or we wither and perish.

It is like at our age, if you do not exercise your body fails and you die. It is a physical reality.
Life is a gift for those who honour its rules.

Yes, immortality is a gift of God. Yet "Many" Who come in Christ's name preach everyone is born with immortality. "And many other such things they do".

I have often wondered at the wisdom of God. Why would He let someone who refuses to "Deny themselves" and obey a God who has to be far superior to them, in to a realm that isn't dictated by time? Why would God let someone who refuses to trust Him in the smallest of commandments, like His Sabbath for instance, into eternity with folks who submitted themselves to Him? Can you imagine what it would be like to have an eternity filled with people who created their own way, their own version of God, their own righteousness all the while rejecting the Righteousness of such a great being?

Of course God would never let that happen. We already have an example of beings who considered themselves smarter or greater than their creator. If a person can't control themselves in this life with all the examples and tools God has given for our admonition, imagine all the trouble they would cause for those in eternity.

Great post, good food for thought :)

You should be the one to meditate and work it out to know if you really have LOVE in your heart or just infatuated by a DEAD FAITH you defend to espouse a FALSE DOCTRINE.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

1 John 4:8,11-16 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.

New International Version 1984 James 2:22,24 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. You see that a person is justified by what he does and NOT BY FAITH ALONE.

New International Version 1984 1 John 3:16-18 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, LET US NOT LOVE WITH WORDS AND TONGUES but WITH ACTIONS AND IN TRUTH.

Romans 13:8-11 Love, for the Day Is Near Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than WHEN WE FIRST BELIEVED.

ALL GLORY AND PRAISE, HONOR, POWER AND WORSHIP BE TO GOD THE FATHER ANDHIS SON OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. AMEN!!!
I'm sorry VCO for my words, please disregard my words if i offended you, I don't talk like this before I got here on CC. My apologies.

Ephesians 5:11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

God bless you bro.

2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, that each one may receive his reward according to what he has done in the body, whether righteous or evil.”

Ezekiel 18:20-32, “The being who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the crookedness of the father, nor the father bear the crookedness of the son. The righteousness of the righteous is upon himself, and the wrongness of the wrong is upon himself. But the wrong, if he turns from all his sins which he has done, and he shall guard all My laws, and shall do right-ruling and righteousness, he shall certainly live, he shall not die. All the transgressions which he has done shall not be remembered against him – in his righteousness that he has done, he shall live. Have I any pleasure in the death of the wrong?” declares the Master יהוה. “Is it not that he should turn from his ways, and live? But when a righteous one turns away from his righteousness and does unrighteousness, according to all the abominations that the wrong one has done, shall he live? All his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered. For his trespass which he has committed, and for his sin which he has committed, for them he shall die. And you said, ‘The way of יהוה is not right.’ Hear now, O house of Yisra’ĕl, is My way not right? Is it not your ways that are not right? When a righteous one turns away from his righteousness, and does unrighteousness, and he dies in it, it is because of his unrighteousness which he has done that he dies. And when the wrong turns away from the wrong which he has done, and he does right-ruling and righteousness, he keeps himself alive. Because he sees and turns away from all the transgressions which he has done, he shall certainly live, he shall not die. And the house of Yisra’ĕl have said, ‘The way of יהוה is not right.’ Are My ways not right, O house of Yisra’ĕl? Is it not your ways that are not right? Therefore I judge you, O house of Yisra’ĕl, every one according to his ways,” declares the Master יהוה. “Repent, and turn back from all your transgressions, and let not crookedness be a stumbling-block to you. Cast away from you all the transgressions, by which you have transgressed, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Yisra’ĕl? For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” declares the Master יהוה. “So turn back and live!”

May I give you my understanding?

I hope you will not object.

Yes the second you choose to receive JESUS as LORD (meaning Master), is the SAME second the HOLY SPIRIT enters your heart, births your dead human spirit into eternal life, and Pours GOD's LOVE directly into your heart, (Rom.5:5). Having GOD's LOVE sown into your Heart (human spirit); WILL PRODUCE AN ABUNDANT HARVEST OF DEEDS MOTIVED BY GOD'S LOVE IN YOUR HEART. The deeds have NOTHING TO DO WITH GETTING or KEEPING you SAVED, but simply are a way to reflect that special LOVE back to Christ, GOD the Father, and our fellow mankind. THAT SPECIAL LOVE is proof the HOLY SPIRIT IS IN OUR HEARTS, maturing our FAITH.
Thanks for the answer.
What if I don't feel like doing something?
I feel like I should invite someone for lunch tomorrow, 4 persons plus us, but I just don't feel like it.
What does this mean?
Not enough faith maybe?

Yes, immortality is a gift of God. Yet "Many" Who come in Christ's name preach
everyone is born with immortality. "And many other such things they do".
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have
the Son of God does not have life.

He gave Himself for us...

Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Messiah Yahshua, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

1 John/Yahanan 2:6, "He who says he abides in Him, is himself also obligated to walk as He walked."

John/Yahanan 14:23, "Yahshua answered, and said to him: If a man loves Me, he will keep My teachings and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him."

we should give ourselves for Him...

You're making a very big error here. The difference between believing unto salvation and believing that can not save (like the believing demons have) is not that one is a belief of God from the heart while the other is a belief of God from the intellect. The difference is true saving belief trusts in what it knows in the mind to be true about God. Demons don't trust in God even though they know all about Christ and the gospel, better than you or I even. That's the difference:
23Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, 24saying, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” (Mark 1:23-24 NASB)

So it isn't about intellectual faith vs. heartfelt/emotional faith. The difference is, the faith that can not save is the faith that does not trust in what it knows to be true about God while true saving faith does. Lots of people know about the gospel and know that it is true, but they, like the demons, don't trust in it. Instead they take a false comfort in simply having knowledge about the gospel, and they think that knowledge alone will save them. They do not know that it is trusting in what you know to be true about the gospel, and continuing to trust in it, is what saves. That is certainly not a works gospel, lol, as is being claimed here. It is in fact THE gospel.

How do we know we are believing unto salvation? By the evidence of the Holy Spirit in our lives, expressed in the fruit of the Spirit. That fruit does not save. It confirms the presence of the Holy Spirit in a continuing trust in the gospel to save and will be used as the evidence of our faith at the Resurrection. The mark of the Holy Spirit follows those who believe, and continue to believe in Christ for the forgiveness of sins. If you do not have that mark at the Resurrection because you never really trusted in the gospel, or you stopped trusting in it, you will be condemned, not saved.
"...put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst (Jerusalem).” 5But to the others He said in my hearing, “Go through the city after him and strike; do not let your eye have pity and do not spare. 6“Utterly slay old men, young men, maidens, little children, and women, but do not touch any man on whom is the mark; and you shall start from My sanctuary.” (Ezekiel 9:4-6 NASB)
On the CONTRARY it is you that has no understanding. You are SAVED the very MOMENT the Holy Spirit enters your heart. In fact it says we were JUSTIFIED when Christ DIED on the Cross; and EVEN MORE SPECIFIC, the PREINCARNATE MESSIAH Wrote our names in the LAMB'S Book of LIFE Before He Formed the World.

The Other thing that you have NO COMPREHENSION of, is the FACT that when the Holy Spirit births our Human Spirit into eternal life that comes with a spiritual mind too. AND IT IS BELIEVING IN ONE'S MIND OF HIS ETERNALLY ALIVE HUMAN SPIRIT that equates to SALVATION, and apparently you sadly think believing unto salvation is something that happens within what lies between your ears.

Then why did the fornicator have to satisfy a condition in order to be saved if he was as you claim, already permanently and irreversibly saved?
The man was saved end of story....it is the spirit that is born again of INCORRUPTABLE SEED....maybe you should look up the word INCORRUPTABLE SEED........

To many, there is no wrath of God to come because the Gospel where His Wrath is revealed from "Faith to Faith" is ignored.

Food for thought PH. Good post.
If you have wrath coming then your not saved....

We are NOT appointed UNTO WRATH.....
