For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

...a little context. in the KJV.

So what is the true translation to be used?
This one.

2 John 1:9
Whosoever revolteth, and continueth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that continueth in the doctrine, the same hath both the Father and the Son.

You have a faulty translation.
The best translation/version of the Bible is the translation/version someone will keep reading because the Holy Spirit continues to reveal the scriptures to their hungry and open heart.

Once again we do not have to worship idols and partake in abominable acts to receive the doctrine of Christ thanks to GOD.

Your opinion is meaningless. Please provide some supporting evidence to your assertion.
He just posted this in the Texas church shooting thread

I fund it funny so many people think there was a shooting at this church when there is not any bullet holes anywhere on this church.
This is all I needed to stop replying to him.

7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ ascoming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we[b] do not lose those things we worked for, but that we[c] may receive a full reward. 9 Whoever transgresses[d] and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; 11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

The context is denying christ, no matter what version you use.

Is there a reason you are using the Douay-Rheims translation?

I like this one, lol

9 Every one who transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of the Messiah, God is not in him. And he who abideth in his doctrine, he hath the Father and the Son.

That's great we all need a translation that we like and will read, the idea that one english translation is the only one to use is rediculous and if they throw on your reading a false word of God, that is legalistic. Because any translation is a commantary of the Greek manuscripts, it would be ideal if we could all read the Greek New Testament because there are no mistranslation there.
