If you and I don't have a solid grasp of His grace and knowledge, we could be deceived by the outward appearance because we don't have doctrine in the soul(His mind.)

That is why we watch them for a long time to Discern the kind of Fruits they are producing. Fake Spiritual Fruits will expose themselves sooner or later, usually sooner. Bad Fruit such as Anger, Divisiveness, and Strife can jump to the surface in an instant. When that happens frequently, is it a good indication that then are not Born Again.

Getting tired, as I have a bad chest cold. So sorry about missing your primary question, and double posted some of the verses on that last one. THE LACK OF LOVE FOR GOD, in pretend Christians becomes obvious, and they abandon Worship Services, especially when the Sermons are one hour long like my Church. The Holy Spirit via the Teaching of the WORD will convict the pretend Christians. NO, I am not talking about a Hellfire and Brimstone Preacher yelling at the Congregation, that would bore even me. I am talking about Teaching the WORD, explaining it, and how it applies to our lives. One hour of that and the pretend Christian will be Bored, Mad and griping how long winded the Pastor was, OR even sleep through the Sermons in the Pews. Pretend Christians, usually expose themselves, when there is serious Bible Teaching going on. True faith produces action. If I believe a truck is barreling down the road at me, that belief will cause me to jump out of the way. If I truly believe in who Christ is and what he has done for me then it propels me to a life of gratitude and service. Works should be an outpouring a joy at our unmerited good fortune to be so loved, embraced and saved. The overwhelming price of our rescue should humble us. We should be in awe and that should change our attitudes and actions. Our works are not the price of entrance. They are the thank you for the abundant life ahead of us. It is our privilege.

FAITH alone saves a man.....then and only then can one bear fruit....any and all works are a by product of the faith and salvation one already possesses in Christ......

a dead seed (US) gets planted, watered and sprouts (born again from above) and then begins to grow...through the process of rain, nutrients from the ground and sun (spiritual growth dia the word) we grow and mature....and after a period of growth we bear fruit....

EVEN 1 apple proves that it is an apple tree.....and lest we forget.....it was an apple tree fro the moment it sprouted, was still an apple tree through 2 to 4 years of growth without bearing and is proven an apple tree when it bears fruit that MEN can see....

Getting tired, as I have a bad chest cold. So sorry about missing your primary question, and double posted some of the verses on that last one. THE LACK OF LOVE FOR GOD, in pretend Christians becomes obvious, and they abandon Worship Services, especially when the Sermons are one hour long like my Church. The Holy Spirit via the Teaching of the WORD will convict the pretend Christians. NO, I am not talking about a Hellfire and Brimstone Preacher yelling at the Congregation, that would bore even me. I am talking about Teaching the WORD, explaining it, and how it applies to our lives. One hour of that and the pretend Christian will be Bored, Mad and griping how long winded the Pastor was, OR even sleep through the Sermons in the Pews. Pretend Christians, usually expose themselves, when there is serious Bible Teaching going on. HEY, I used to be one of those, but I hit bottom so hard the last week of December, 1977; the only way I could look, was up at the Cross.

Amen......when the word is actually being taught and explained people have no issue with listening and the time flies.....I teach an hour and a half every week to numerous people from my community. I use two dry erase marker boards and we actually do very intensive studies....open to questions, comments and the "dregs" of society are eating it up because it is teaching and it is explained to the proverbial "enth" degree.....Word studies, historical context, biblical context IN CONTEXT......for example...One Psalm we studied....Just to consider the 1st verse we looked at and studied 197 verses of scripture......line upon line, precept upon precept.....allowing to word to speak.......Ya "gotta" love the truth or you will never see the abundant "gems" found therein.
