Ok so here is today's update I went for my first training day 7 hours non paid and now I can barely move it was a sit down day also so that means my back is not going to be nice to me at all. Which also means the job I really would love to keep probably is a no go. As I sit here about in tears because I hurt so bad. I got home and he is acting like nothing happened last night like always when he does wrong. Lynn was it you that mentioned something about feeding my dogs off 8.00 lol I can't remember if it was you or some one else. Either way I just bought doggy food so they are good with that hehe they eat before I do. They will never go hungry. I also have some stuff I need to return to the store which will give me about 100.00 until the 3rd. I tried finding help before with my dogs when I wanted to leave him last time and no one could or would help. I am sitting down tonight and will try to see what I can do and make a plan of some sort. I do have a friend that would help me with some money but I hate asking but he knows how my husband is so he definitely would do it. I just do not like oweing people money. Then I have to find a place I can afford on my tiny income where I can have my dogs. I think I may have to check out another mobile home park ughh. But my wheels are turning and I have the motion going. I have a friend in Georgia that told me to move there . I just can't afford to go that far. I may see if abw can help me get into a place that goes by income for now. I have to say i am pretty mad it seems like everytime my back acts like it is going behave I try to do something and it messes right back up. It is so annoying and getting me aggervated. I want to work and it is being stupid and not letting me. This is where I get angry at God sometimes. He knows the situation i am in he knows I want to leave and I am to poor to afford anything.he knows I want to work yet he won't make my back better so I can...

If any of MY comments were construed as a rant against the police, then I apologize... that wasn't ever my intent.

We live in a fallen world, and police officers are a necessity for our safety.
I appreciate all the good officers out there.

* My first point with Tommy was just about certain LAWS...
and no policeman has responsibility for writing any bad laws.

* My last point was about phones, and that some police departments are KNOWN to do some very strange things regarding cell phones and privacy.
These are WELL KNOWN issues, and again, they have nothing to do with Tommy, or with "every policeman".

no. you're good....but if I may...

I object to the way so many threads in the family forum are turned into an argument between 2 people who can't seem to get enough of bashing each other (I'm sure no one knows who I mean ) or an all out free for all of 'my post is better than your post'

it's like the op becomes an afterthought and if remembered at all, then they get it too

Jennifer here has to make a move. you bet it's not easy and she is lying to herself. any woman who has been abused lies to themself

I have no advice to give her other than listen to the people who actually care enough to post to HER and not AT each other

they are all saying the same thing.

I have nothing against law enforcement. Police are like anything else. Doesn't matter which profession you want to discuss, there will always be bad eggs but no need to make that the focus or rant on ALL police. sounds like someone has a personal grudge that they should forget about because it is not about them

they should also forgive and leave it with God cause it's sounding real ugly

that's all

Don't even get me started on THAT one.. lol.. Maybe you and Susanna do respect us, but many other cops don't...

Barre's police chief smokes pot, on the job AND in front of people. AND sells it.. Then turns around and arrests the very people that he sold to. Is that respecting a citizen? Oh, and my neighbor at my old apt. building, a cop who couldn't keep his girlfriend quiet during sex at 2 am EVERY NIGHT, so I got woke up and had to listen to her screaming his name over and over. Is THAT respecting a citizen?

Or the cops who tell an abused woman "unless he hits you, we can't help". Is that respect? What about the guy who just got stopped with what, $90,000 in his car. They had NO REASON to search his car, they couldn't see the money, but they searched anyway and now they're refusing to give his money back. Is that respect?
How about this for respect?

Jennifer tells us she had her last straw with physical abuse so is leaving, and yet you turn this into your own personal "'WE' hate the 'po po.'"

Once again, as usual, you're wrong.. I DON'T hate the police. :) I hate the way they act like people have to die first before they can do anything to help someone in Jenn's position..

How about this for respect?

Jennifer tells us she had her last straw with physical abuse so is leaving, and yet you turn this into your own personal "'WE' hate the 'po po.'"

You're emotions are only today? (lol Just wanted you to laugh over something silly. Even a chuckle does something to ease the emotions.)

You're willing to go to GA? This is new. Really, really? And how much would it cost for you, plus dogs, to go there?

(Personally, I cannot imagine my back would ever let me go that far, no matter how I got there, and your back is worse than mine.)

All you need is enough to go to GA, right? I know sounds a lot like "all I need is a Rolls Royce, mansion, a few maids and a butler" when you're broke, but it really is just a matter of how much would it cost you to get to GA.

Can you do the math, include extra in case of some unforeseen emergency, and give a ballpark number for that one?

Well, maybe that's why no one trust them. First people assume the cops have authority they don't have, then they give out false information of what cops can do, and then add to that the amount of times people decide cops are idiots because they heard that somewhere, so it must be true.
I wish I could like this 100 times.

You don't know what you're writing about here.

I can spot, and believe what ever I observe, but it requires probable cause to seize a person, not suspicion or a gut feeling. The victim absolutely has to cooperate and make a statement.
No the police can not search a person, place, or thing; except for with a warrant, based upon probable cause, not mere suspicion. There are few exceptions allowing for government agents to search a vehicle or person without warrant, but it still requires probable cause, and it's when the vehicles or persons are found to be traversing a public place, like a highway.
Probable cause is: Facts that lead a REASONABLE PERSON to believe a crime has been, or is being committed.
It's reasonable person, not a; police officer, lawyer, judge, former abuse victim, psychologists, physician, trained abuse detector, news reporter, civil rights activists, CC member, or any other know it all.
Suspicion would be observations made by a police officer, that through his training and experience, would lead him to believe that a crime may be happening, and needs further investigation, which is what the cops are doing when they show up anyways. Terry v. Ohio was a supreme court case, that extended an authority upon police to detain someone for a REASONABLE amount of time, to investigate a crime, based on reasonable suspicion.
Actually it's not the responsibility of the police to protect or serve.....the supreme court has ruled on that a few times too. It's a slogan some departments like to put on the side of cars. The police function is to bring persons that are in violation of the law, before judicial authority, and what ever evidence of the violation that is found. Also what ever function the legislature puts on law enforcement, but that varies from state to state.
You're a know it all, you should get hired, attend the academy, and become a police instructor on domestic violence.
I'm sorry blue lady, Jennifer is going to have to call the police, cooperate, and make a statement. She can also not call the police, and go before a judicial officer to give testimony for a warrant, charging her husband.
Dear brother Tommy, I hope you didn't read anything I posted as negative toward police officers. I was actually defending them when I wrote that domestic violence calls put police in danger, too. My point was that victims should act quickly as possible and work with the police in following thru with charges in order to gain safety. I have friends and family on the force, so I totally know it's an extremely tough job. And I am so grateful for all the times the police have helped and even rescued my family and me over the years.

You should petition the court for a special grand jury, then present evidence of the corruption done by the police.
I'd like to fist bump your neighbor.

Probably not to be taken literally:

By a shotgun and shoot his balls off. That should make him less aggressive!

Tell him you are not a push toy and that he should have outgrown push toys by the time he was five.

That's why I wasn't offering her any advice.

I think it's probably all so messy that she needs help and advice from somebody THERE, where she is, who can actually assess the situation carefully, and plan an appropriate course of action based on that.

Nobody wants to see her getting hurt.

Well my friend is in Georgia she wanted me to go there my sister is in south carolina. I imagine if I lost up all my important belongings my puppies and then my kid and her crap and hit the road it would cost me probably 500.00 for gas food and hotels because Lord knows I can't do that trip in one day with my back like this.

In Philadelphia where I'm originally from, that's not uncommon at all.
