Ah! Thank you, Blue. Looks like something I will leave up to my grandson. :D
If your computer freezes or has problems starting up, sometimes it offers the option to reset to factory conditions, or it will ask you to choose a restore date, and then resets everything to that date (unless it picks a date for you, usually a few days previous to the current date). That would work to fix any damage done by a virus if you had gotten one somehow. If you are running Windows 10, you do not have to worry about backing up all your personal files, because you can do a factory reset without losing any of your files such as images, videos, or documents. You might lose all your bookmarks, though.

I know you guys will give me the cliche answer of "I'm not alone, God is always with me" however there is a saying that says you can stand in a crowded room yet feel more alone. It's the the story of my life.
Perhaps one day you'll be married to your best friend so you won't feel alone anymore. Like the saying goes, "three's a crowd".

Thank you, Magenta. :)
You are welcome, Beez! I have had to do resets a couple of times. The first time was before windows ten, and I did not have everything backed up :p I tend to have a lot of images on my computer, so I lost a lot of stuff, but most of it was not personal, just things I had found while looking for specific images online :) Most of my personal photos are on a disc to start with. I was very pleasantly surprised after getting Windows ten not to lose any personal files when doing a factory reset :) I had clicked on an image link somebody posted on one of the forums here and my laptop went kaput

I did save things on an external saver-thingy a few days ago. (You can see that I have all that computer jargon down pat!) :D

External hard drives are handy :) I use one at work to transfer images from the network to my computer, or vice versa :) Anything that takes up a lot o space on your computer that you do not access often would probably be better stored on such a device. Your computer may run better as a result  My daughter uses one to transfer movies from her computer, so she can plug in the device to the TV to watch whatever it is she has saved, and still keep her computer at arm's length, where it always is :D It is either that, or her phone :p Even when we are watching movies, she will be surfing at the same time, often looking up info relevant to the show. She sometimes loses interest in something we may be watching because she reads what people say about it, and knows the ending is not good  LOL

Right now and for the last while I have been having problems with my Ethernet card, meaning, I keep disconnecting from the internet, and have to take steps to rectify the situation, which sometimes includes restarting my computer when all else fails, such as I just did now :p:(

Something that I hate is the "stop being lazy, go out and get a job and stop complaining" attitude many people have about young people when we complain about the economy and not having enough money. First of all you sound like an a-hole and second you completely lack any form of empathy while think it's easy to just make money,.

Magenta, lately, when I try to answer someone here with a quotation, my computer just sits and spins, not giving me quotation . . . like it's doing right now. But great ideas, Magenta!

Socreta93, A lot of us likely had the same complaints when we were young. It's so easy to forget! Me, well I had been so rich as I was immediately after leaving my parents' home. It took me a long while to get used to having things. :D In fact, I'm still not used to it. :D

Question: How did God Create the Human Mind ????

ps. If your Toothache hurts --> go to the store and get a small bag of CLOVES and apply it to the area
and then see a dentist.

I disagree with that statement. I too, am young and have been told the same things...however they did not understand my family circumstances did not enable me to go to college or get a job outside of the home. These "people" you are talking about have been your age and know exactly what it feels like and are not being rude. Young people need to remember that the older generations know what they are talking about and they have wisdom to share if you are willing to listen to it....its called maturity :)

Okay, Socreta93 could have put it a little more nicely, but I have to agree with him. I was basically killing myself at a job for two years (missing every single holiday and even my aunt's funeral) and ended up getting laid off due to budget cuts. Immediately after, certain older relatives began getting on me about not working, as if I wasn't even looking for another job... I actually was applying everywhere, but it still took two months to get hired. Instead of giving me some encouragement and asking how my job searching was going, they assumed I was being lazy. It kind of hurt...

And things are definitely different these days both culturally and economically. Our parents and grandparents very often got the jobs they wanted immediately after school or college, but that's often not the case for young people today.

I had a job like that once that was my total life. My younger brother asked to attend his wedding (first marriage ended in divorce). I told him that I wasn't going to be able to do that due to my responsibilities and missing out on overtime. So I made him a deal. If he gave me a pass for not being at his second wedding I would absolutely be at his third wedding. Second marriage was a disaster also. Ten years later I kept my promise and attended his third wedding. They have been happily married for 20 years and their son just graduated from high school and is now attending college. There will be no forth wedding.

I just submitted the last essay for this year. It's 5 hours before Christmas.

I ordered dinner take away (delivery) and will be spending the night in the office.

Ahhhh I feel so relieved. Just a week more and I'll have to do it all over again LOL.

Merry Christmas everyone!
