Sermon on the Mount. no Sabbath. upper room discourse in John's Gospel. no Sabbath. sinful works of the flesh. not keeping the Sabbath is not listed as one. fruits of the Sprit. no Sabbath mentioned . the Commands John mentioned in his first letter. no Sabbath.

Scripture after Scripture about Christ follower's expected behavior. no Sabbath.

do you know these Scriptures? are they authoritative Scriptures ?
In the sermon on the Mount God's Sabbath is there for all to see as well as all the 10 Commandments. These are the KNOWLEDGE of what SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS is (Romans 3:20; 7:7; James 2:11; 1 John 3:4; Ps 119:172)

Matthew 5
3, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

It is God's LAW the shows us we are SINNERS in NEED of a Savior (Romans 3:19-20).

6, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after RIGHTEOUSNESS: for they shall be filled.

The KNOWLEDGE of RIGHTEOUSNESS is God's LAW because it is written; My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness (Ps 119:172).

8, Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

These are those that have been Born again to see God; Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God (1 John 3:9).

It is a SINFUL MIND that breaks God's commandments in thought and action are the things that defile a man; But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man ( Matthew 15:18-20)

10, Blessed are they which are persecuted for RIGHTEOUSNESS' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM. Those who follow him need to proclaim the Gospel to WARN the World. Men love darkness to hide their SINS and do not like the LIGHT that reveals the truth that their SINS will keep them out of God's KINGDOM.

The KNOWLEDGE of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS is God's LAW because it is written; My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness (Ps 119:172) and by the LAW is the KNOWLEDGE OF SIN (Romans 3:20)

17, Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18, For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19, Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20, For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

21, Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

22, But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

23, Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

24, Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

25, Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

26, Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

27, Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

28, But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Yes indeed you would have to close your eyes not to see God's LAW (10 Commandments) being proclaimed, all through the sermon on the mount

...................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12).

If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

Well that is not true whatsoever my friend.

All of God's Commandments are mentioned in the sermon on the Mount as Jesus refers to them ALL collectively.

Matthew 5
17,
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Now in the whole chapter only the 6th and 7th Commandment are used as example of exceeding the RIGHTEOUNSESS of the Scribes and the Pharasees.

Are you saying that because the other 8 Commandments are not mentioned we are free to brake them?

This is indeed teaching against the LAW and the prophets and something that Jesus NEVER did.

Those that break God's Commandments and teach others to do so Jesus says will not see the Kingdom of Heaven.

SIN will keep all that practice and teach it OUT of God's KINGDOM because this is another Gospel and not the one of the bible.

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30-31).

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Law of Moses, Councel at Jerusalem & Sabbath observance

Acts 15:
1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

3 And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.

4 And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.

5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

(NOTE: Verses 1 & 5 Pharisees tell Paul & Barnabas (who disagree) gentiles need to be circumcised & keep the law of Moses.)

After a vigorous debate with much disputing, verses 7-19. James the moderator concludes: Acts 15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, """""which from among the GENTILES are turned to God""""":

Acts 15:22 Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

23 And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:

24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

(NOTE: Verse 22, the apostles and elders, verse 23, wrote letters to gentile churches, verse 24, gentiles need not be circumcised of keep the law of Moses.

Gentiles ARE NOT required to keep 4th commandment to observe the Sabbath!)

Recorded here too: James, Peter & John, Barnabas & Paul shake on the Counsel at Jerusalem deal here too:

Gal 2:9 and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me they gave to me & Barnabas the right hands of fellowship that we should go unto the Gentiles, and they unto the Jews.

just declaring something to not be true has no meaning if the thing being said is actually true. no where does the word Sabbath ( Shabbat ) appear in the Sermon on the Mount. so, when I say Sabbath is not mentioned, that would be true.

and, by the way, I have nothing against command keeping. but not FOR salvation.

On Mt Sinai at the 1st Pentecost, when Moses give's the Law. The Nation of Israel is born. This is a covenant between God & Israel................................... etc etc etc
Now FD,

I see that you just keep repeating the same posts over and over.............

Everything in your posts has been answered in POST # 3783;POST # 3784POST # 3761 and POST # 3768 (LINKED)

Yet you refuse to respond to any of these posts or the scriptures in the posts that have been sent to you that disagree with your interpretation of God's Word.

If you disagree with my posts and the scriptures in them above, then please state your case and respond to my posts and the scriptures in them like I have done with your posts and the scriptures you provided.

If you cannot then simply ignoring the posts that have been sent to you and the scriptures in them that disagree with you, do not make these posts and the scriptures in them magically disappear the same as reposting the same thing over and over does not make your words come true.

By doing this you are only putting your word over the Word of God and only shows you do not know how to respond to all of the scriptures that have been sent to you that disagree with you.

If you do not know how to respond to my posts and the scriptures in them that disagree with you then you should BELIEVE and FOLLOW the Word of God.

Those that break God's Commandments and teach against God's LAW and the prophets Jesus says are the least in God's KINGDOM and will not see it.

Practicing KNOWN SIN will keep all who practice it out of God's Kingdom.

(NOTE: Verses 1 & 5 Pharisees tell Paul & Barnabas (who disagree) gentiles need to be circumcised & keep the law of Moses.)
Indeed and agreed. NOW Is Circumcision the 10 Commandments? What is the difference between God's LAW (10 Commandments) and the Mosaic book of the Covenant in the OLD Covenant? What was the purpose of God's LAW and the Mosaic laws for the remission of SIN? If you do not KNOW what the OLD Covenant is how can you know what the NEW Covenant is?

(NOTE: Acts 15 CONTEXT is that v1. certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved; The CONTEXT of this whole chapter is that the Jewish BELIEVERS were arguing that unless the Gentiles were CIRCUMCISED they cannot be SAVED or have salvation.)

(NOTE: Verse 22, the apostles and elders, verse 23, wrote letters to gentile churches, verse 24, gentiles need not be circumcised of keep the law of Moses.
Yes indeed where in this lettter does it say that the Gentile BELIEVERS are not required to keep God's 10 Commandments? Do you know the difference between God's LAW (10 Commandments) and the laws of Moses written in the book of the Covenant? If you do not know what the OLD Covenant is how can you know what the NEW Covenant is?

Gentiles ARE NOT required to keep 4th commandment to observe the Sabbath!) Recorded here too: James, Peter & John, Barnabas & Paul shake on the Counsel at Jerusalem deal here too:
Gal 2:9 and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me they gave to me & Barnabas the right hands of fellowship that we should go unto the Gentiles, and they unto the Jews.
Where does it say in Acts 15 that Gentiles are notrequired to keep God's 10 Commandments? Do you know the difference between God's LAW (10 Commandments) and the laws of Moses written in the book of the Covenant? If you do not know what the OLD Covenant is how can you know what the NEW Covenant is?

We are only saved by GRACE indeed as it is written; For by GRACE ARE YOU SAVED THROUGH FAITH; and that not of yourselves, it is the GIFT OF GOD and NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.
(Eph 2:8)

There is a reason why God gives us his Grace.....

By whom we have received GRACE and apostleship, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations, for his name: Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ. (Romans 1:5-6)

Now lets have a detailed look at Acts 15 and see if it is saying what you are teaching because your teaching that if your a Gentile believer then you free to break God's 10 commandments right? This is something Jesus and the Apostles never taught or the OLD and NEW Testament writings. Teaching agaisnt the LAW and the prophets is a different Gospel that all a warned about.

You have not provided any CONTEXT my friend, The chapter is about those of the Jews teaching that one must be circumcised in order to have salvation Acts 15:1-5)? You may need to consider CONTEXT. The BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ means to BELIEVE in the WORD of GOD because Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1-14)

Acts 15 is in reference to having to be CIRCUMCISED in order to have salvation and that this was not a requirement for salvation. This is what the OP is referring to here. The ceremonial laws of Moses were shadows pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation.

God's LAW (10 commandments) are the knowledge of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS and define what good and evil is. God's LAW is the standard of the Old Covenant the NEW Covenant and the Judgement to come and is forever.

This was posted already but do not mind re-posting again if you missed it. Let's look at the whole section in CONTEXT with all the scriptures...

Acts 15
1, And certain men which came down from Judea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved <The controversy is that if you are not circumcised after the law of Moses you cannot be saved>.
2, When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
3, And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
4, And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
5, But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
6, And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7, And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8, And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9, And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10, Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
19, Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: <New converts do not need to be circumcised after the law of Moses>
20, But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21, For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day <the new converts will learn more because the scriptures are read in the synagogues every Sabbath>.
22, Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
23, And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
24, Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: <what law are we referring to? The law of Moses; circumcision>

As mentioned above already the Mosaic laws (not God's Law; 10 commandments) that were the cure for sin in the Old Covenant pointing to Jesus have been done away. They were shadows that pointed to Jesus and were fulfilled at the cross. For example with circumcision...........................

Romans 2
28,
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29, But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Now let’s look at the interpretation of
Acts 15 where you state; because Gods Sabbath is not mentioned you do not need to keep it...

Now we have shown above already that the CONTEXT of
Acts 15 is referring to CIRCUMCISSION as a REQUIREMENT for SALVATION. Circumcision is a requirement under the law of Moses. In fact God’s LAW is not mentioned except for Idolatry as a requirement for the new Gentile converts. WHY? Because Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day v21

This chapter has nothing to do with Gentiles not obeying God’s LAW (10 commandments) it is about CIRCUMCSION in the Mosaic law being a REQUIREMENT for SALVATION v1-5

You state the above because none of God's Law (10 commandments) are mentioned that the Gentiles do not need to follow them.

So FD, if you follow this view through to its logical conclusion, Gentile believers can go kill, steal, covet murder and break all of God’s commandments as long as they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood v20.

I am sure you do not believe this, do you gb0? God’s WORD certainly does not teach this as it says those who are living a life of KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN because those who are practicing SIN have rejected the GIFT of God’s dear son (
Hebrews 10:26-27).

Acts 15 says nothing about not needing to obey God's 10 commandments but that circumcision was not a requirement for salvation (CONTEXT) and that Torah was taght in the Synagoges EVERY SABBATH where the new believers would learn more about God's Word.

NOW please if you do not BELIEVE what is posted here state your case why you do not BELEIVE what is presented in this post with scripture. If you can not should you now BELIEVE God's Word? Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE.

It seems you are indeed preaching against God's LAW and the Gospel. Something Jesus or the disciples never did. Jesus says those that do this are least in God's Kingdom and will not see it (Matthew 5:17-19).

..............

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)

8, And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9, And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

It seems you are indeed preaching against God's LAW and the Gospel. Something Jesus or the disciples never did. Jesus says those that do this are least in God's Kingdom and will not see it (Matthew 5:17-19).

..............

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)

so what is the different between God law and law of Moses?
Great question Jackson, It is important to answer this question because it helps in an understanding of what the Old Covenant is and what the NEW Covenant is.

The Old Covenant included two sets of LAWS that were contained houses in and in the ARK or HOUSE of the COVENANT. This included 1. God's LAW (10 commandments) written by God on stone and 2. The Mosaic book of the law written by Moses in the book of the law and ordinances and history.

God commanded Moses to keep these laws separated in the Ark of the Covenant that made up the Old Covenant. God's LAW (10 commandments) were placed inside the Ark and the Mosaic book of the law was placed at the side of the Ark of the Covenant

Let's look at the scriptures.........

God's LAW was written and made by God alone and nothing was to be added to it and the Mosaic law was made and written by Moses as directed by God in a book. God's LAW (10 commandments) was placed in the Ark of the Covenant. While the Mosaic book of the law was placed in the side of the Ark of the covenant (Ex 32:16; 34:28; Deut 4:13; 10:4Romans 3:20, 1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; Ps 119:172; James 2:8-12; Hebrews 8:10-12; Gal 3:24; Deut 5:22; Ex 34:28; Deut 4:13; 10:4Ecc 3:14; God's LAW; Ex 25:16; Deut 10:5; Ecc 3:14; Book of the law; Deut 31:26; Col 2:14-17).

It is true indeed that both God's LAW and the Mosaic laws written in the book of the covenant collectively have the 613 commands. This being said both Gods' LAW and the Mosaic laws for remission of sin have a different purpose.

The purpose of God's LAW written on stone and the Mosic laws written in the book

1) God’s Law
(10 commandments)
Purpose; reveals what sin and righteousness (Good and Evil) is and describes the penalty for sin (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23). It was never a cure for sin. But it was the work of God which is forever and the foundation of the Old Covenant, the New Covenant and the Judgement to come. (Exodus 32:16; Exodus 31:18; 31:18; Exodus 20:1-22; Deuteronomy 10:5; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23; Hebrews 7:19; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31; Ps 111:7-8; Revelation 12:17; 14:12; 22:14; 1 John 3:5-8; 1 John 2:3-4; Ecclesiastes 3:14)

(2) The laws of Moses (Levitical, ceremonial, sacrificial)
Purpose; was the prescriptive cure for sin with all the Levitical and ceremonial laws, burnt offerings for sin, annual feast days foretelling the plan of salvation which were connected to Feast days with New Moon sabbaths, food and drink offerings and other Holy days. These where all types pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation and provided a cure for sin through animal sacrifice and food and drink offerings and yearly sin atonement's for God’s people. (Leviticus 1:1-13; Leviticus 23:1-44; Numbers 28:1-31; 29:1-40; Deuteronomy 24:10-11; Exodus 24:3; Deuteronomy 31:24-26; Colossians 2:16-16; Hebrews 10:1; Ephesians 2:14-15; Leviticus 4; 5; 6; Hebrews 4:14; 9;10; John 1:29; not exhaustive there are many more).

Why were the ceremonial laws of Moses (handwriting of ordinances) nailed to the cross and shadows of things to come......

Jesus was our true sacrifice for our sins and the Savior of the world that the ceremonial laws of Moses all pointed to. When Jesus came and died the old Covenant laws of Moses that pointed to Jesus and the plan of salvation was fulfilled (John 1:29; 36; Revelation 5:6; 1 Corinthians 5:6-7; Hebrews 8:2-13; 9:1-28). Jesus is our true Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and our sacrifice for our sins. It is our sins as well as the ceremonial laws of Moses that were nailed to the cross at the death of Jesus (Colossians 2:14; Ephesians 2:15; John 3:16).

So just as the Mosaic laws for remission of SIN are have a difference purpose to God's Law (10 commandments) they are all temporary Shadows because they were all pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation, God's Law is not temporary they are the manifestation of the Character of God through LOVE and are FOREVER.

GODS LAW (10 commandments) ARE FOREVER

The Law of God (10 commandments) which includes the 4th commandment is the work of God (Exodus 32:16) whatsoever God does is forever nothing can be added to it or taken away (Ecclesiastes 3:14).
God's Law is perfect converting the soul (Psalms 19:7).
It is the very standard of the Old and New Covenants (Exodus 20:1:17, Hebrews 8:10-12).
God's Law was spoken by God himself to His people (Exodus 20:1-22). Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 25:35). Gods Law is still in force today (Psalms 111:7-8, Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1 John 3:5-8, 1 John 2:3-4 etc.). The Law of God reveals sin to us so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4).It is the great standard of the judgement (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31). God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and the character of God and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood (Galatians 3:24; Revelation 1:5). Jesus came not to abolish the law, but to fulfil it ( Matt 5:17-20 ). The law is the embodiment of truth that instructs ( Rom 2:18-19 ). It is "holy" and "spiritual, " making sin known to us by defining it; therefore, Paul delights in it ( Romans 7:7-14Romans 7:22). The law is good if used properly ( 1 Tim 1:8 ), and is not opposed to the promises of God ( Gal 3:21 ). Faith does not make the law void, but the Christian establishes the law ( Rom 3:31 ), fulfilling its requirements by walking according to the Spirit ( Rom 8:4 ) through love ( Rom 13:10 ).

You cannot know the power of God or the Gospel of Grace without the 10 commandments. If there is NO LAW then you do not know what SIN is (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4). If you do not know what SIN is you have NO need of a Savior. If you have NO need of a Savior you have NO Salvation. If you have NO Salvation you are LOST because it is written.

God's LAW
was written and made by God alone on two tables of stone and spoken by God himself to his people and nothing was to be added to it. (God's LAW; Ex 32:16; 34:28; Deut 4:13; 10:4; Exodus 20; Romans 3:20, 1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; Ps 119:172; James 2:8-12; Hebrews 8:10-12; Gal 3:24; Deut 5:22; Ex 34:28; Deut 10:4 Ecc 3:14; Ex 25:16; Deut 10:5)

It is called God's LAW or the 10 Commandment, because he was the one alone who made it and commanded Moses to keep in separated from the book of the law in the Ark of the Covenant (Neh 10:29; Deut 10:4-5; Deut 31:25-26; Deut 4:13; Ex 34:28)

God's LAW was not made by Moses it was made by God alone on two tables of stone and nothing was to be added to it and it was to be separated from the Mosaic book of the law. That is why it is referred to in the scriptures as God's LAW or the 10 commandments (not the 613).

The Mosaic law was made and written and spoken by Moses as directed by God in the book of the covenant.
(Mosaic Book of the law; Deut 31:9; Ex 24:3-4; Deut 31:24-27; Col 2:14-17).

God not only commanded Moses to keep the 10 Commandments separated from the Mosaic book of the law in the Ark of the Covenant (Deut 10:5; 31:25-26 nothing was to be added to it (Deut 4:1-2; Deut 5:22)

God makes a distinction between the 10 Commandments and the book of the law of Moses….

2 Kings 21
8, Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.

Do we need more scripture................

THE LAWS CONTAINED IN ORDINANCES (COL 2:14)

COLOSSIANS 2:14-17,
14, Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15, And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath(s): 17, which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Colossians 2:14
Let’s start with the context of Colossians 2:16-17. The context is verse 14 which is the blotting out (G1813; ἐξαλείφω; exaleiphō; ex-al-i'-fo; means to obliterate; erase; wipe away) the handwriting of ordinances which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way nailing it to the cross.

The next question we need to consider is what is the handwriting of ordinances that are to be erased and nailed to the cross?

The Greek words used here is handwriting G5498 χειρόγραφον; cheirographon; which means; hand written legal document which is combined with ordinance G1378 δόγμα dogma dog'-mah From the base of G1380; which means; civil, ceremonial or ecclesiastical law: - decree;

The Greek meaning of handwriting of ordinances in V14 is a hand written legal document or book of civil, ceremonial and ecclesiastical laws. These are the laws referred to in verse 14 that have been erased and are nailed to the cross.
As can be shown through the scriptures it is the Shadow Mosaic laws written in the book of Moses that was against us and nailed to the cross with our sins that are now fulfilled in Christ our true sacrifice and great high Priest who ministers on our behalf in the heavenly Sanctuary not made with hands.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOD’S SABBATH AND THE CEREMONIAL SABBATHS CONTAINED IN ORDINANCES IN THE MOSAIC BOOK OF THE COVENANT

What is the difference between the sabbath of the annual festival of the ceremonial laws of Moses and the Sabbath of God's 4th commandment.............

Let’s start with the ceremonial sabbaths contained in ordinances written in the Mosaic book of the law of Moses which were NOT part of the 10 Commandments but connected to New Moons and Annual fest days of the Old Covenant.

2 Chronicles 8
12,
Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,
13, Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

1. The ceremonial Sabbath of the law of Moses is a special Sabbath and also uses a different Hebrew Word called meaning H7677 שׁבּתון shabbâthôn shab-baw-thone' From H7676; a sabbatism or special holiday: - rest, sabbath. This sabbath can fall on any day of the seek and is only used in the annual Jewish festivals of Feasts of Trumpets (Lev 23:24) or Day of Atonement (Lev 23:32 or Feast of Booths (Lev 23:39). These feasts are NOT fulfilled and Shadows of things to come Col 2 v17 (e.g. 2nd coming, close of probation and judgement and God's people saved from their temporary dwelling on earth to the earth made new) NOTE: Col v17, Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. It is NOT fulfilled and has NOT finished and IS to COME. These are temporary Shadow Sabbaths showing the plan of salvation.

2. God's 4th commandment Sabbath which is one of the 10 commandments (Exodus 20:8-11). The Hebrew word use here for Sabbath has a DIFFERENT Hebrew word used compared to the ceremonial Sabbath of H7677. The Hebrew Word used here is H7676 and means H7676 שַׁבָּת shabbath (shab-bawth') n-e.1. intermission, a period of temporary rest.2. (specifically) the Sabbath, the seventh day being the day of rest. [intensive from H7673]KJV: (+ every) sabbath. Root(s): H7673. The root word comes from H7673 which comes from the creation week of Genesis 2:1-3 and means shabath (shaw-ɓath') v.to repose, i.e. to cease from exertion.KJV: (cause to, let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep (sabbath), suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away.

This is God's Sabbath it is a memorial of creation and part of a FINISHED WORK BEFORE SIN entered the WORLD. If it is part of a FINISHED work BEFORE SIN then it cannot be a part of the plan of salvation because it was BEFORE the fall of mankind. Just like all the other 10 commandments God's Word says they are FOREVER and the very standard of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS and the JUDGEMENT to come.

The Law of God (10 commandments) which includes the 4th commandment is the work of God (Exodus 32:16) whatsoever God does is FOREVER nothing can be added to it or taken away (Ecclesiastes 3:14)

That is the difference between the ceremonial special Sabbaths that are shadows of things to come written in ordinances in the book of Moses and God's 4th commandment which God's Word says is FOREVER.

Yes indeed there is a LOT of scripture that disagrees with you. God's LAW (10 commandments) are NOT the same as the Mosaic book of the law of Moses

............

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

The Greek words used here is handwriting G5498 χειρόγραφον; cheirographon; which means; hand written legal document which is combined with ordinance G1378 δόγμα dogma dog'-mah From the base of G1380; which means; civil, ceremonial or ecclesiastical law: - decree;

Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
which of These verse is Mosaic law

Numbers 35
32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.
35 And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

Exodus 35

[h=1]Exodus 35:3King James Version (KJV)[/h]3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.

Deteuronomy 14

8 And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.

Hello brother LGF

This is 4th commandment

4“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

how private person tell stranger not to work oN sabbath?

Isaiah 56:1-7, “Thus said יהוה, “Guard right-ruling, and do righteousness, for near is My deliverance to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who becomes strong in it, guarding the Sabbath lest he profane it, and guarding his hand from doing any evil. And let not the son of the gentile who has joined himself to יהוה speak, saying, ‘יהוה has certainly separated me from His people,’ nor let the eunuch say, ‘Look I am a dry tree.’ For thus said יהוה, “To the eunuchs who guard My Sabbaths, and have chosen what pleases Me, and are holding onto My covenant: to them I shall give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters – I give them an everlasting name that is not cut off. Also the sons of the gentile who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and are holding onto My covenant, them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their ascending offerings and their sacrifices are accepted on My altar, for My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”

You are obviously carried away by your own understanding and hatred of the 10 Commandments...and to stop this 'blame-game' I am not going to enter it ! People with different spirits never agree but should not lead to 'endless arguments and accusations.
Beta, you have no idea whether I keep sabbath or not. You have no idea what day of any week I worship.

What I hate isn't the scripture. I hate people calling God's own words 'baggage'

I hate every false way - just as it is written in Psalm 119.

The scripture says we are not under Law, but grace. Some of y'all just need to deal with it.

Yet the Scripture says to be "Uncer the Law" means to be convicted by it guilty of Sin. If you are living a LIFE of KNOWN SIN then yes you are still in your SINS and "Under the Law" because you stang guilty before God of breaking it.

Something to notice about this verse is, It's talking to us, It's once again reminding us to "Remember" to keep this day, after all God has done for us, and all he's brought us from, God was telling US, not just the Israelites, because were all under the promise according to Paul, there is no longer races of people, just bible believing Christians Galatians 3 7Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

26For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

So we are all Children of God we are God's heritage.

So God's speaking through this verse Deuteronomy 5: 12Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee. 13Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work: 14But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. 15And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

God's conveying something, He knew we'd eventually forget this commandment, and even after all he's done for us we'd make this void, so he set out to remind us, Keep it holy, I brought you out of bondage, of slavery, of Adultery of Hatred of Murder , or SIN, and he's given us these commandments, after all he's done theirs no reason we have to forsake his law.
We are slaves to sin, and to the law, because if we sin, were in bondage to the law, the punishment for breaking the law is death, but now through Jesus we have hope and love, and through his death we are no longer in bondage to the law.

Romans 7: 4Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. 5For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. 6But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. 8But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. 9For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. 10And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. 11For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. 12Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

Stop trying to get rid of one commandment and keep the others, every single one of the Ten Commandments were giving to the Israelites yet I see no one saying "Adultery was only meant for the jews, because I never saw it pop up before Moses" even through the principals still existed, every time a bible character had more then one wife, chaos broke out, And I never heard anyone say "Honor Thy Father and Thy Mother, nah, God only gave that to the Jews when they made it into Cannan, we don't live in cannan, so how will it that prolong our lives?" and I never hear anyone say "Thou Shalt Not Kill, that's only for jewish people, now were under the new Law, were we can kill only if we feel it's alright, it doesn't matter, whatever you feel like"
I hate to be so crud, but this is what your comments sound like, How is it that one law can be forgotten? when Jesus said Matthew 5: 17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven

Nothing from the law would be taken away, only fulfilled, well it's talking about the Lambs and the Goats and the sacrifices, that's the law that was fulfilled, Not the Ten, Matthew 27:50Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; Nothing from the law was taken away, just fulfilled, and the Sabbath was never spoken of being fulfilled, otherwise the other commandments would have to be aswell, they can't be separated.

God does not change, His law cannot change, because it is perfect. Pslam 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed

Stop making excuses like "if you keep the Sabbath does that mean you can't Cook? or does burger king have to close?" don't you think if God told us to do something, He'd give instructions?

Please hear the word, And Harden not your hearts.
God's trying to save us, If I am wrong so be it, Tell me from the scriptures, But if not we need to all search for ourselves and see the truth, we all want to go to Heaven, so we need to get along on earth.

Jeremiah 2:4 Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel:
Hebrews 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

I feel after all this, we may need to focus on God more, and this subject less, so imma post a song for everyone to listen to.

Baggage means no other than 'Luggage...things we carry with us ! YOU make it out to be something bad or evil...it is not...but it can be 'in excess and not needed.
God gave Commands that are spiritual/eternal and He gave commands that were purely physical and only for a temporary purpose after which they were no longer needed. Did not Jesus Himself deal with those on the cross when no longer needed ? Col2v14; Eph 2v15...they were never bad or waste and rubbish ...they had outlived their use and purpose what they were intended for.

You refuse to see the difference in those laws Lev 10v10 and therefore cause great confusion in understanding and accusations that are UNtrue.

Of course it becomes OBvious to others what a person thinks and believes by what they say and write/type....you know...what the heart is full of comes out the mouth....and your posts speak loud and clear ! Jeus knew what was in man ..and by HIS SPirit WE also know !
I don't want to argue with you or anyone because we should learn to 'get along and agree in the name of GOD...that should be the purpose of a DIScussion in this age of GRACE !!

Sadly most don't know what GRACE means...it is PARDON from instant execusion carried out in the OT letter. NOW we are given time to be re-educated/re-generated/re-formed, re-everything BEFORE final Judgement/second death....God showing mercy and compassion in His great Love for us !!!

If you are not rejecting Gods 10 Commandments/eternal law then we are in agreement and harmony !
Please read LGF's long posts on the difference of laws purpose and duration....all taken from scripture !
(I am NOT SDA and not promoting their teaching and btw neither is LGF).

I agree...but it's hard for people to focus on GOD...always has been ! why don't we start with JESUS?YASHUA has after all been given all power and authority to rule and reign on earth till He has put all enemies under His feet 1Cor 15v25; Mat 28v18;

Might it be easier for people to start with JESUS who came as a LIVING WALKING EXample ? as a MAN with all human experiences, feelings, etc etc.
We know HE kept His Fathers Commandments INcluding the Sabbath....not only because He was a Jew BUT that He always did those things that pleased the Father ...

so would not that be a GOOD START ??? learn by example !!!

Sabbath Observance, Israel & Gentiles

On Mt Sinai at the 1st Pentecost, when Moses give's the Law. The Nation of Israel is born. This is a covenant between God & Israel.

Ex 11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that "the LORD doth put a difference between the Nations and Israel".
(NOTE: The LORD put a difference between the Nations/gentiles and Israel)

Exodus 31:16 Wherefore """the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath""", to observe the sabbath """throughout their generations""", for a perpetual covenant.

17 """It is a sign between me and the children of Israel""" for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
(NOTE: Sabbath abservance is between God & Israel. Gentiles NEVER had a law covenant w/God)

Nehemiah 9:13 Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:

14 And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant
(NOTE: These LAW statutes & commandments: were given to & BEGAN with Moses & Israel "NOT BEFORE" after the deliverence from Egypt. Read the verses piror to 13 & 14 for futher clarity)

Deuteronomy 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
(NOTE: The Sabbath commandment came after the deliverence from Egypt. And was given only to the Nation of Israel)

Conclusion:
Sabbath observance did not precede the Law of Moses. God's requirement for ""Israel"" to keep the Sabbath does not exist until after the deliverance from Egyptian bondage. And gentiles were never a part of this Law Covenant.

Rom 2:14 (A) For when the Gentiles, which have not the law,
(NOTE: Gentiles were never under Mosaic law)

Gentiles are justified = Declared Righteous by a Sovereign God, thru FAITH not law keeping!
