You HAVE to have works to be saved......or else you do not have the faith that justifies apart from works.

This should only rile up those who do not have works. Those who are being conformed to the image of Christ don't have to get riled up about this truth because they have the ever increasing works of the Spirit that accompanies justifying faith.

Justifying faith MUST have works attached, or else it is not the faith that justifies apart from works.

False...Paul was inspired and you....no where near it...

Therefore we conclude a man is justified by faith without works

He does not understand the context of James, or the fact non of us believe faith will ever be void of works.. So he will continue to lie about us

"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love."-Galatians 5:6

Do you think Paul is adding works and teaching a works gospel here? Of course not. But what is clear is you are not going to be saved by faith that is alone. The faith that is alone has no power to justify. Only faith that loves is the faith that justifies apart from works. Faith that is alone can not save you. Works do matter.
Jesus must have been crucified in vain then.

i think God needs to open ones eyes...
that taking a single verse out of context
then
adding a whole bunch of worldly understandings that are wayyy off base from what started as an error to begin with is getting old...

its what all the people who wish to add to or take from what Jesus did do...

kinda like what satan did to temp Jesus too actually

using scripture out of context
According to Paul, does the faith that does NOT work through love justify?

"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love."-Galatians 5:6

Explain how he is wrong, and that even the faith that does NOT work through love also justifies.

Then that means a person MUST have works or else they are not saved.

Do you want to now argue that a believer doesn't have to have works to be saved?

no im not saying hes wrong...

thats a strawman you made

im saying youre wrong in your understanding

heres what paul said

romans 3

22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

i bolded galatians to help you see context on the last page as well

i sense more strawmen on the horizon

: pre-emptive strike for false accusers :

the point of this thread

is once you are born again

you are His child and saved

all glory to salvation goes to Jesus

_______

the walk AS a new creature who cannot lose his/her salvation is a completely different topic

the walk of a christian

____

pray constantly
examine yourself to see if you are the spirit

deny the flesh

encourage to DO good works (not to save yourself but out of love for Him who loved you first)

and to build our brothers and sisters up

help them if they stumble

and the fruits of walking in the spirit

im sure we all know

love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance

we should also say charity

but none of these things save us
or keep us saved

this is God providing the transformation

no one should look at Gods grace or the GIFT of salvation to those who believe on the name of Jesus as a "now i can do all these sins i love" card

if you love these sins so much you dont even care what Jesus had to go through and it doesnt hurt your new heart that youre choosing flesh

id say examine yourself

because that sounds like the old heart to me

Ralph. Why has virtually EVERY one of your 1320+ posts been in solely THIS thread?
Why do you NEVER venture over to the prayer request forum to lift up other brothers and sisters? Obviously we have no way of knowing what you do absent from here, but it is safe to say, according to YOUR doctrine, that if Jesus comes back while you are on CC, you will be found lacking!

When will you understand that Jesus is the one with works in which justify us?
It's the same concept as with infants, since they can't do works through Jesus for they can't accept Jesus as saviour,God speaks for their lives for them to be saved, where as with us though we can do works our works only "counted" now once accepting Jesus as saviour thereby accepting his works as our own,the "only way" "now" to"Justify" our salvation, the only difference between infants and us being that "we must decide" to accept Jesus as saviour to be saved otherwise we don't have Jesus's works through the holy spirit and therefore are still yet to accept salvation.

McGee, Deek, Joe, Lucy, PennEd, Eternally-grateful, Budman,

Let's put an end to this right now.

Can a person who puts their trust in Christ then live any way they want and they still be saved?

Yes, or no?

anyone with a new heart will only want to live for God

when they fall short
or act in the flesh
yeah they are still saved

if you still want to live a sinful life

id suggest to examine yourself

because that doesnt sound like a new heart to me

and thats what God examines...

not your works

Ralph. This question has been asked and answered 55692 times!

The question ITSELF is meaningless. It's like saying can a bird be a bird if it doesn't lay any eggs?

Whether it lays eggs or not, it's a bird by BIRTH!

WE are Children of God by BIRTH! We are reborn to do the works our Father has prepared for us since the foundation of the world!

So your question makes no sense. We are His children by birth, not by our works. That chicken that doesn't lay any eggs is STILL a chicken, just not one that is going to bring His owner much joy.

Can they or will they? The bible says that those who are saved by grace are created by God to good works. Eph 2:10 if you care to look up the verse.

Good works are not a certain evidence of salvation.

Lu 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Jesus said even evil men give good gifts to their children.

Do you consider yourself saved because you do good works? Will that be your testimony before Christ on judgment day?

For the cause of Christ
