Yes its a free country. But spreeading the ideas of false teacher should not be ignored. Many are deceived from false teachers like him. For what reason you open this thread? Yes, you are free to do it, but then you must accept that maby somebody dont like that lies are spreadet in a christian chat.

"I'm just going by what I heard....."
Yep.

maybe they were wrong. And Joel Olsteen was always a false teacher universalist money grubbing person who robbed cheated and stole peoples money to make himself rich.

Or maybe, like th people said,. He did have it ok at one time, and he lost it.

What happened in the past does nto matter, what he does today is just plain evil.

How can there be blessings from false teachers and false teachings? Joel Osteen is another false teacher, and now that you have been reminded about this by several Christians, you are simply being provocative.
This coming from a Bible translation worshipper, that see Hebrews everywhere

This is not the path to freedom but bondage to false teachers.

Nehemiah6, You called this God loving sister: self-deceived (So condescending) accused her (Falsely) of lacking in desire for truth, judged here (cause you said so) for a hard heart & unsound doctrine, and finally because she doen't fall into line with your self-proclaimed truth, that she has no scripture understanding. I have read many of her posts & many of yours. She is a far better example of a loving sister the YOU. Who are you to judge this sister's heart?

James's Faith With Works VS Paul's Faith Without Works #108
Nehemiah6 said, There's a big difference between "James was written to Jews" and "James was written to saved Hebrew Christians". We should not be misleading people unnecessarily. And when errors are pointed out, that should be accepted and acted upon.

Nehemiah6 FYI, Hebrews are a race of people, Jewish is a religion, Israeli is a nationality. You can be Jewish but unless you are born of Hebrew descent you can't be a Hebrew.

There were many people born in Israel that were Jews not Hebrews.

Nehemiah6, There are no 12 Tribes of Hebrew! STOP! misleading people unnecessarily & take your own advice > when errors are pointed out, that should be accepted and acted upon.

The Rapture #8528
Nehemiah6 said, Too many Christians cannot wrap their heads around the fact that the first resurrection resembles a Hebrew harvest -- (1) the first fruits , (2) the main harvest, and (3) the gleanings.

Nehemiah6, Do you see Hebrews in your sleep? There are NO Hebrew Harvests. You worship the KJB READ IT! > Lev 23. Regarging the Feasts, It clearly say's: Speak to the """Children of Israel""" SIX times. I did a Bible search for the Children of Israel. 3400 matches in 662 verses. I did a search for the Children of Hebrew 0 matches in 0 verses.

Not agreeing with the people on this thread doesn't count as not agreeing with the whole of Christendom. :) This group of maybe 10 or so Christians on this thread are not my standard of truth. The Bible is and the Holy Spirit as He ministers.

I am not alone in my beliefs in healing in the atonement nor about many other topics I've shared from other Christians who have been dismissed as quickly as I have. Just a matter of being basically out numbered in this forum. Which is not odd.

Maybe some of you guys need to get out of the house more and visit other Christians who are not exactly the same as you are. We are out there all over the place and some of us are trying to fellowship with you and share with you. But you keep shutting the door.

How on earth can the bible be your standard of truth if God gives Satan permission (with clear limits) to buffet Job and Jesus says:Satan has asked to sift you like wheat and yet you say no such thing ever happens and that its false teaching to say it does?

This text actually makes me feel bad for Joel. It's like he aaaaalmost has it.

God is the one who GIVES the new heart. The hearts of muslims, jews, hindus, atheists, God doesn't have to search. THEY ARE DEAD! They must be given a NEW heart, and they can't get that by hearing a wishy washy, maaaaybe their way is ok gospel.

His reluctance to just flat out say that there is NO other way than through Jesus Christ is disturbing.
I didn't get from that transcript that he almost has it. I got a wishywashiness that desires and seeks the approval of men, which he certainly has gotten by selling over 8 million books, I would say.

I understand not offending anyone if it is at all in your power to do so, and I understand not condemning blind men because you once were one, but he refused to speak the gospel there. What's wrong with: I believe if you haven't been born from above by receiving the Holy Spirit, then you will not see God.

Larry King tried to push him to say whether unbelievers, atheists are not going to heaven. What's wrong with saying: in their current state, I believe they are not going to heaven but God will reach many men who have not yet met Him?

I just saw a desire for the approval of men there, and why not? The approval of men has made him wealthy.

Give me one reason why I would want to listen to a review of a book of a person I would never read? And I think gives God a bad name, This makes no sense at all sis.

This is a book review done by a Christian man on line named Ron Saunders from "Jew and Greek" who brings truth to light about controversial Christians and what they actually do hold to vs what they have been accused of holding to . Ron Saunders does his due diligence to show the truth apart from prejudice and I really appreciate that.

I've shared many of my views and most of my threads get taken over by the same people who do not believe in healing in the atonement. I never realized how other Christians could disassemble another Christian and then put them back together so wrongly and present it as the truth.

This review is about Joel Osteen's book "Your Best Life Now" I was very surprised about it's contents since I've never read the book and figured it was more of a motivational book. Which it is but it also has Biblical principals. I was also very happy to find out about Joel's father John Osteen. Amazing man of God. I hope you who came to this new thread will give Ron Saunders book review a listen. It gave me a new perspective on Joel O. and a great appreciation for His dad.

Re posting for clarification. Listen to the review and then give your views on what was said. Thank you.

Nehemiah6, I'm new here, I've been watching you. So, here's a look into your own mirror/words.

Why are so many people on here mean and judgemental #55
Nehemiah6 said, A word of caution for Christians -- we are required to weigh our words carefully, since we will be judged by our words as much as by our deeds. God does not appreciate idle talk from Christians.
I say, LOLOLOLO

Irony Explosion!!! Nehemiah6, spends all day long attacking, judging & DIVIDING believers over any doctrinal differnce NO MATTER HOW SMALL that dosen't line up with his beliefs. Nehemiah6, where does this spirit of division you promote come from? Things that make ya go hum!

Yet Nehemiah6, in the post above you interject idle speculation. Frankly, at least 1/2 your posts are idle speculation

LOL, Nehemiah6, calls out/criticises/judges other believers for enjoying the word shared by someone (a known theologian) he wouldn't recomend. Yet, he worships a Bible version & himself. Hum

Theologians have probably introduced more errors into Christianity than any ordinary Christian. So leaning on the authority of theologians is like leaning on a reed.

All Christians have the Word of God and the indwelling Holy Spirit. Also many Bible scholars have provided us with very valuable Bible study tools. While theologians have their place, the ultimate authority is with Scripture properly interpreted.

Nehemiah6, I am curious, let me get this straight. You're saying none of these known Theologians have the indwelling Holy Spirit? You also stated here ALL Christians have the all knowing, all teaching indwelling Holy Spirit. Yet, somehow you're the only person in the world that teaches the truth? Dude get over yourself!

Hi Seeds., Did you listen to the book review? Unless you do., you can't comment with any knowledge of the topic. It takes hearing people to know what they really believe and what they really are writing in a book.
Have you read the book?

I am,just wondering why promote a book review of a book you admitted to NOT READING? Then get mad at folks for commmenting before they listen to the video made to help sell the book?

Minute 7 he takes verses out of context to justify the unbiblical practice of "visualisation" instead of understanding that the Bible is talking about seeing reality with SPIRITUAL EYES, folks are taught to use their imagination to create their own wished for reality......why am I watching this again?

I actually agree with the second part...we do need to see ourselves as God sees us and not as others do.

I find it ironic in Minute 10 he points out that Osteen is telling a urban legend (about a guy freezing to death just because he believed he was freezing) as if it's truth...

The guy says Joel Osteen is weak in Apologetics and theology, which I agree with him about. However he doesn't see WOF movement as heresy. In fact he seems to be a component of it.

I find it kind of funny that the guy actually says he WOULD NOT BUYTHE BOOK, except to review it.

So I apologize, the video is NOT a sales promotion, BUT it is not an unbiased reviewer either.

So, I listened to the review - The book is to help us find "success, fulfillment, and healing." Kenneth Hagin is mentioned in a positive light. The seven steps to living your full potential given in the book are:
(1) Enlarge your vision
(2) Develop a healthy Self-image
(3) Discover the Power of your Thoughts, and Words
(4) Let Go of the Past
(5) Find Strength through Adversity
(6) Live to Give
(7) Choose to be Happy

Of course each one can be construed to be "Christian" and wonderful. But if I really want to live to my full potential, are these the seven best ways to get there? You be the judge!
