OBEDIENCE AGAINST DISOBEDIENCE

Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Only God can judge is what I would say, And the hope is that we would lead one to salvation, because without salvation and experiencing the true love of God in salvation, no one can be obedient, they may be able to not commit adultry, but 0bedience is far more than not commiting adultry, the command is just guide to use to expose us if we break that command, it does nto even tell us how to obey it. Because it was not given for that purpose.




There is only one requirement to be saved. Not many, and that is to have faith in Jesus (john 3: 16 and many other places) which means you have to repent (if you do not repent you can not have true saving faith)

Adding any work, no matter what it is (water baptism, churhc membership. Taking communion, Giving to the poor. Obeying Gods commands) are adding ones work to the equation of grace through faith. And is a false gospel. Period.

Baptism (HS) is a result of the gospel being applied to our lives

Baptism (water) is an act of obedience to the God who SAVED (yes past tense) us and the ability to give a testimony of God to whoever is witnessing your baptism)

Again, Paul said it best, Not by works of righteousness which we have done (water baptism IS a work of righteousness) But by his mercy, He saved us by the washing (water) and renewal (new birth) OF The HOLY SPIRIT (the one who does the washing and gives us new life)

If I have to do the work of water baptism to be saved, Salvation is NOT by grace, but by works. And if your going to obey one command, You better follow them all. Because if it is of works. We better be perfect.

the penalty of sin is death, It is not being water baptised. The payment can only be paid by death (the cross) Water baptism has NO PART in salvation. Period.

Yet KEEPING HIS COMMANDS is NOT WHY WE ARE SAVED. If one says it is, they are teaching law. And thats the problem. Because they do not understand law. If they did understand law. They would never claim OBEDIENCE IS REQUIRED TO BE SAVED , because they would KNOW and UNDERSTAND no amount of obedience will ever put us over the standard required by God. well I did not say a person who is saved will be disobedient, How you can get what I said about a NON BELIEVER not being able to be obedient, that a person CAN NOT BE OBEDIENT TILL THEY ARE SAVED as to mean I preach that a BELIEVE can live in disobedience, is beyond me, and I am sick of playing games (like I told the other person) so now you have lied about me twice, You can now join the other slanderers in my ignore bin (two in one day, wow!!)

You too huh? I am sick of these people who have no desire to discuss or figure out what others are really saying, that resort to lieing and attacking people who disagree with them, because they will not open up their ears to listen to what people say!!

I think dcon gave the answer.
He is known for his brevity (he would do well in 'Stralia, LOL)- what he is affirming is that preaching obedience to the commandments is a false position.
That is his judgement.

Until he realises that justification. And conditional sanctification are two different things, he will never get it.

Until he realises works are a product of faith. And not proof of faith or what gives us faith, he will never get it

Until he realises how sinful he is, and how utterly hopeless he is, he will never get it.

until he repents. He will never get it.
And will add....until he loses his man made religion...............he wil never get it!

James is asking YOU to test your faith. He is not saying we are saved by faiht plus works in opposition to paul,

You must take paul in relation to john, who said a man who sins has never seen God or known God. The same paul said NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE, but by GODS MERCY HE SAVED US (he did not contradict himself)

When will you wake up and realise all thew works on the world will not save you..

Amen...must be in the vine before you can produce....salvation by grace through faith before one work is done or fruit production begins is what places into the vine...even a child can understand that!

So again, You post SANCTIFICATION (things AFTER SALVATION) vs and try to make them justification verses.

But we do know Jesus will look at ElAmore and say: has ElAmore forgiven all men their trespasses against him? Yes he has, now I will forgive him of his trespasses against me, and enter thou good and faithful servant.

And to Andy, he will also say: has Andy (who says he believes and trusts and loves me) forgiven all men their trespasses against him? No, he has not. So now I will not forgive him his trespasses against me.

Where will the faithful ElAmore go for eternity, and where will Andy go for eternity? Both good and faithful Christians.

Where does grace are ye saved, not of works, lest we boast work into this scenerio?
