But Easter is not the fulfillment of the Passover. Easter was a celebration of a pagan fertility goddess that somehow got incorporated into Christianity.

Passover always begins on the 15th day of the month of Nisan, which is also always a full moon because the Jewish calendar month starts on a new moon, and Easter was set at some point to be the first Sunday following the first full moon after the vernal equinox. Some years Passover and Easter coincide :)

Why would I care about copies of words written over 2000 years ago in a language that I don't understand?

It's amazing that one is lamenting being quoted for what he said, which is literally blasphemous, instead of recanting his statements publicly.

It is obvious then what he said, to him, still stands. And he's crying about being made to look bad.

Totally unreal!

Walmart sells lots of Easter Eggs and chocolate bunnies; so many people are obviously confused. It doesn't matter that I'm not one of them.

When my kids were little we used to hunt Easter eggs after sunrise service... is this a bad thing? Am I confused over the Christian meaning of Easter?

The full moon at the time of Jesus' crucifixion/death also means that non-believers cannot claim that it was a solar eclipse that caused three hours of darkness, from around noon ("the sixth hour") until 3 o'clock ("the ninth hour"), for a solar eclipse during a full moon is a cosmological impossibility :)

All these use Easter. None of the others on biblegateway use Easter. Pascha was a feast of unleavened bread and has nothing to do with a pagan fertility goddess, an egg and a bunny.

NJKV uses Passover and not Easter. The KJVO’ers will completely divorce themselves from this bastard translation.

"There are two Christs in all of us who are saved." The one that endwells the believer at salvation and the one they create in their minds.

Where is this second Christ at? I can only see one Christ, not two.

Where is there two Christs? You said the Christ in you is different than the Christ that indwells those saved by using other versions. You not seeing these heresies scares me to death for you.

Well as I understand it the modern holiday of easter regarding the bunny and eggs is a matter of "Hope" and "new beginnings" while pagan it "can" still be a good reminder of "who gave us hope" and "a possible new beginning".
