Sarcasm or not, you were using man being in subjection to the creation (because of the fall) to diss Paul's argument that men are not to be in subjection to a woman in the church. Well, man is not to be in submission to a fern either.
I'd like to know why you think that a woman preaching in church or pastoring would make a man submissive to her. Aren't we ALL submissive to the Lord's will?

Well...we're supposed to be. Which is why I go where He leads. I already know what happens to ones life when ya don't.

I think a fern is a great idea.
Well of course you do, because that's not the way it supposed to be. That's what you want.....something, anything as long as it's not the way it's supposed to be. You're in rebellion.

You'd rather have a fern as head of the congregation than a man. Anything as long as it's not a man. Examine what's really going on in your heart.

Then everyone could be a congregation and let the spirit move and glorify GOD and be edified instead of letting someone monopolize all of the time doing his prepared blah blah.
How is letting a woman pastor monopolize all the time doing her prepared blah blah different than a man doing that?

Look deep, this is not just about women being allowed to be pastors. This is a much more serious matter deep in the hearts of women.

You don't know because you along with all the rest of us live in this time in church history when the office of pastor has no authority anyway. The role of pastor is not what it once was. The abundance of church choices makes it so no pastor has spiritual authority over anybody.

And the words of Peter apply:

judge for yourself if it is better to listen to men or to listen to GOD

Really? What is this mysterious and serious matter deep in my heart? When did you become the all knowing of a woman's love for Jesus Christ and her obedience to His will? Please...enlighten us all of your power and then tell me who bestowed it upon you?

That's what I keep telling the men in this thread. I am listening to God. You have no clue...but there is no mistake...

"Preach... teach.. be My witnesses…” Jesus said.

Whoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, my sister, and mother.”

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”

Christ is become no effect to you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Men obsessing so much about this issue reminds me of how politicians distract the public with irrelevant issues to take their minds off of all of the politicians' crimes and failures. It's majoring in the minors.

They* have no clue...( God will use those He knows will heed His call...those willing to serve...be it man, woman, or young person. We are all His children).

Rebellion.

You can't see it but it's right in your post.

No I'm not in rebellion, I was being facetious. A fern would be better because it would not subvert the will of GOD as so many pastors do.

Ultimately the blind can not lead those who can see.

A woman pastor will have a congregation full of people as blind (and rebellious) as she is.

In general, men don't obsess over this. We simply don't go to a church pastored by a woman. And there are few churches pastored by women. It is clear that it is women who are getting their shorts in a bunch over this.

...And you did not tell us how a woman droning on, solo, in a sermon is somehow better than a man doing that.

And you can deny it, but I can see you are saying it would be better to have NO pastor than to have a man pastor.

"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet."

I'm leaving this thread because of the contentious men who won't receive God's word through us.

Interestingly, the rebellious men who justify themselves by the law and are commanding women not to speak, are the same ones provoking women to speak by directing their arguments at them. Where in the scriptures do you see Jesus doing that? Jesus lifted women up and restored them to honor and love. These men are not representing Christ toward women.

Only the Holy Spirit can break their hard hearts. I leave them to God.

Peace to those of you who follow Christ and not man.

Bolded comment #1: It's not any different.

Bolded comment 2: I think you have some real issues.

You women saying it is us men who are obsessing over this when in fact it is you women who obsess about this subject that reminds me of politicians, and what shows who is actually right.

Those in the wrong seem to project what they are doing onto their opponents. That's a good way to spot who's in the wrong.

I don't think anyone should be droning on and on, solo, in a sermon, as a matter of ritual. Having a pastor is biblical and necessary, but IMO its current form is not. The problem is that most people are so spiritually compromised and lazy that realistically that is the only option they see available, so they embrace it.

Yes, I do have issues with those who rebel against the plain words of scripture. It bothers me a lot. Not just in this thread but in other ones too.

Hardened indoctrinations in people that cause them to not be able to see the plain words of scripture is a particularly difficult thing to deal with. It is a special problem in on-line forums. It can destroy the faith of even the most faithful believer. It's very toxic. It's nothing more than the devil's voice still ringing in the ears of the world....."Did God really say" (Genesis 3:1). That is the voice you have to battle in these forums. Lot's of rebellious people echoing the voice of the serpent in the garden.
