Congrats you just sided with falsehood and stood against the truth...but we already know that is your modus operandi

The verse he is denying

Therefore, we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the works/deeds of the law.

The word Ergon is translated works or deeds and means both and it was biblical to put both in the verse.....

You called good evil and evil good....no wonder by your stance!
You are extremely opinionated about scripture. You refuse to accept anything but the Bible. No Biblical helps allowed.

Next.
1. We are saved by grace through faith.
2. Faith without works is dead.
3. Paul said he would show his faith by his works.

You keep ranting no works but no works no faith. That means works are required for faith to be real.

There was nothing about myself saying justification, this doesnt touch on what I asked.

Hmm for someone who got on me "for not answering: I find comical that you will not answer a single question I asked, and will not even answer this one...

So you will not answer? or did you miss my question?

I have answered....the law condemns and justifies No one before God and if you place yourself under it you must keep ALL OF IT or your guilty....the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST is imputed by faith WITHOUT THE DEEDS OF THE LAW.....

So...either LAW or grace and if LAW DO YOU KEEP ALL 613 24/7/365....if not your a law breaker and condemned which is exactly what you are.....because no matter how much you push that you keep the law you do not!

I will wear that banner any day of the week....and anyone who refuses to accept the bible only as the rule of faith and practice states clealry they are not of God....as far as the rest...the bible proves salvation by grace through faith void of works to gain....maybe if you quit using faulty sources made by men and started trusing the bible.......

FYI,

Noah was given specific instructions on how to prepare for the storm that was coming and Noah followed them.

I'm quite sure he was ridiculed by "Many" when they saw him building a boat on a mountain. Thankfully Noah believed in God over anyone else and both him and his family were saved.

I don't think from reading Shamah's posts that he is ignorant of this important Biblical Fact. You, well not so much.
He built it on a mountain.....which version....the one with Russell Crowe or the bible.....???

And what shall I come back with? You don't believe in the Scriptures. The Pharisees didn't believe in the Scriptures either, as Jesus pointed out. If they had, they would have believed Moses and if they believed Moses they would also know about the Word which became Flesh.

But how can they understand God when their father is the devil?
At least Gb9 knows the bible.....and does not embellish it with scripture written by you-->Noah built the ark UPON a mountain...........

You ignore the fact that we all sin. Sin is transgression of the law. Therefore the law applies to us. Our transgressions of the law is imputed to Jesus for those who accept his sacrifice for us. Those who reject Jesus keep their transgressions at judgement time.

Actually sin is anything not of faith. We are dead to the law IF we are alive to Christ. We live now by faith not by keeping the law. Living by faith happens to fulfill the Law. Because love fulfills it. And God is Love. We are being made more and more into love through faith.

Sorry....the law no longer applies to me....The righteousness of Christ without the law has been imputed by faith...it has done it's job already and pointed me to Christ as the cure all....sorry to hear your still under the law and condemned

There is a difference in using Bible study helps and recognizing the Bible is the only inspired word of God. Any Preacher worth his salt admonishes his congregation to make sure everything they hear from the pulpit, from SS School teachers and any Bible study helps must conform to what the Bible states. Then there is which translation to use. I normally use NIV and AMPC as my translations and reject KJV for being 400 years out of date. Biblegateway.com is a great site since you can select any translation you choose. Using my smartphone I have the Bible on me always. I can Google for topic to verses and then go to biblegateway.com to look it up. Very handy multiuse tool.

Not quite correct. Since we sin we are under the law. Our difference is we repent and ask for forgiveness which we get from Jesus as our savior.

Hi decon, we are now free to serve the God we love.

Also have you ever noticed, (affirmative), that folks who continually add works to God's wonderful grace, always, I mean always, say that the Grace Alone people, do not believe in works. Come on now really, you and the farmer next door knows that is a bold face lie, because God has from beforehand prepared works for Christians that we should, "walk in them"

And they say this bold face lie because it props up their fallacious argument.

I prefer BibleHub because I can look at each word in an Interlinear. It’s fascinating to see the Greek and how my word of study was translated in other Scriptures. Today I was researching prayer. And it’s fascinating how the Greek reveals it vs traditional understanding.

You firm stance is like a reservoir in the sometimes desert of BDF!

It is so simple that eve n a child can grasp it, yet why do people have to find a way to complicate the simple Gospel(rhetorical I know why :()

That is why I need to come back time and time again.;)

I’m sorry if you live by 613 laws that were established to show your need for a Savior.

Why did Paul say the just live by faith?

Hey, Shamah found a buddy. The same kind of posts with almost nothing but Scripture references, VERY LONG. #61508
New International Version 1984 Matthew 12:33-37 “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

New International Version 1984 Revelation 3:1-6 To the Church in Sardis “To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
