I enjoyed the poem very much. You have a very sensitive and caring heart.
Thank you sir Tourist I took the lyrics from the song "Destiny" ❤

How do we come to be here next to each other
in the night
Where are the stars that show us to our love
inevitable
Outside the leaves flame usual in darkness
and the rain
falls cool and blessed on the holy flesh
the black men waiting on the corner for
a womanly mirage
I am amazed by peace
It is this possibility of you
asleep
and breathing in the quiet air
If I should think of love
I'd think of you, your arms uplifted,
Tying your hair in plaits above,
The lyre shape of your arms and shoulders,
The soft curve of your winding head.
No melody is sweeter, nor could Orpheus
So have bewitched. I think of this,
And all my universe becomes perfection.
But were you in my arms, dear love,
The happiness would take my breath away,
No thought could match that ecstasy,
No song encompass it, no other worlds.
If I should think of love,
I'd think of you.

When my wife and I were conversing on CC and exchanging actual snail mail I would interweave the letter with words from a song that conveyed my thoughts at that moment. I would use colors also to express certain emotions and actions. Purple is my singing voice, pink is for intimacy and turquoise is whispering.

I'm gonna take a little time, a little time to look around me.
I've got nowhere left to hide, it looks like love has finally found me.

It was a miracle from God and the miracle is you.

In my life there's been heartache and pain,
I don't know if I can face it again.
Can't stop now, I've traveled so far, to change this lonely life

Yes, but God gave me the courage to face it again because He gave me you.

I want to know what love is, I want you to show me.
I want to feel what love is, I know you can show me.

..
.and you certainly do with each thought that you express.

Yeah, something like that.

BY JOHN DONNE
I wonder, by my troth, what thou and I
Did, till we loved? Were we not weaned till then?
But sucked on country pleasures, childishly?
Or snorted we in the Seven Sleepers’ den?
’Twas so; but this, all pleasures fancies be.
If ever any beauty I did see,
Which I desired, and got, ’twas but a dream of thee.

And now good-morrow to our waking souls,
Which watch not one another out of fear;
For love, all love of other sights controls,
And makes one little room an everywhere.
Let sea-discoverers to new worlds have gone,
Let maps to other, worlds on worlds have shown,
Let us possess one world, each hath one, and is one.

My face in thine eye, thine in mine appears,
And true plain hearts do in the faces rest;
Where can we find two better hemispheres,
Without sharp north, without declining west?
Whatever dies, was not mixed equally;
If our two loves be one, or, thou and I
Love so alike, that none do slacken, none can die.

Well well what have we here?
A bit of "romance" a flutter here?
Or is this all little poems for reflection?
Well to the Op you know where I stand on this no matter the case and may God bless you!

A poem by Joefizz-
I once entered a thread,
it had a title with fire I read,
twas poems of love within I found,
which inspired uplifting all around,
this day have I an extra hour,
for reading this thread through my browser,
It's origin of one called Tommy,
and his passion for which we'll soon see.

Just for those who are super invested in this, and have been asking me and messaging me lol as much as the flattery goes, there is nothing happening between Tommy and I :)

Tommy is such a passionate and caring soul, and any woman would be lucky to have him! I mean, I’m really flattered that this was created and it just goes to show that underneath that uniformed man of funny words and humour as well as sophistication is actually a sweet and gentle man with so much love to give.

Sorry to disappoint our fan club haha but the truth should be told so that gossip or any form like that should be stopped, especially if we are to stand for truth in Christ.

I appreciate you all coming through and showing the Love, cause hey, Love should be always given :) but I do want to thank Tommy for the thought and time he’s given in the past few hours.

Blessings ❤️

The Cloister
BY WILLIAM MATTHEWS
The last light of a July evening drained
into the streets below: My love and I had hard
things to say and hear, and we sat over
wine, faltering, picking our words carefully.

The afternoon before I had lain across
my bed and my cat leapt up to lie
alongside me, purring and slowly
growing dozy. By this ritual I could

clear some clutter from my baroque brain.
And into that brief vacancy the image
of a horse cantered, coming straight to me,
and I knew it brought hard talk and hurt

and fear. How did we do? A medium job,
which is well above average. But because
she had opened her heart to me as far
as she did, I saw her fierce privacy,

like a gnarled, luxuriant tree all hung
with disappointments, and I knew
that to love her I must love the tree
and the nothing it cares for me.
