Ok I have no idea if I have put this in the right place but at my church (Seymour Baptist) we are having a few problems of concern.
1. We have a Demon going around harassing people, trying to find a way in and further divide the Church.
2.We have a Witch and Warlock currently attending our services, who I suspect are cursing people
3. We had a lady in our church who I believe was of the occult (can't prove it though) that started rumours and accusations in the church turning members and even leaders against each other.

I ask, does anyone know the best way to deal with something like this, in all 3 points? Also can you back up your suggestions by pointing me towards scripture? and 3 the rest of the members and the congregation, doesn't know/ hasn't realized, what should I do there?

Thank you in advance...

You have power and authority in Jesus name. One of my favorite scriptures is where Jesus said we would do the same works that he did and even greater because he was going to HIS father.

Jesus cast out demons. Plain and simple. You have the authority and power in Jesus name. No witch, warlock, curse or divider can come against Jesus. You don't have to put up with this. Also you don't have to tell anyone. This is between YOU and GOD. To bring someone else in to this what you know and have observed would only further strife and dissention which is what these people want.

John 14:12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

You have the power and authority in HIS name so use it!

I will offer this suggestion, for what it is worth:

Judge not, that you be not judged. Matt 7:1 RSV

Funny thing is, when you start spreading rumors about witches, warlocks, and occultists, someone somewhere else will have to start a thread about some random woman in her church causing schisms. If the devil wants to create strife among church members, you're gnawing at the bit to help him.

Also, nobody's a warlock these days. Maybe back in old Scotland or in witch hunting manuscripts, but male pagans tend to call themselves witches. "Warlock" means "oath breaker" or "liar" and isn't a name somebody goes around broadcasting. If you happen to know that somebody is a warlock, you overheard a role-playing game.

Calm down.

I've tried playing a warlock in the World of Warcraft, although I mostly played a warrior, and sometimes a hunter. Each class has unique special abilities that make it fun to play in its own way. For example, the warrior and rogue classes rely on instant-cast abilities that only work when you are close enough to attack your target with a melee weapon: a mace, sword, axe, or polearm. On the other hand, hunters, or spellcasters like warlocks, priests, and mages, prefer to keep their distance and use their ranged abilities. The other classes have both melee and ranged options: paladins, death knights, shamans, and druids.

If you don't know what you are doing then plead the blood of Jesus on yourself and do nothing.

I don't know anything about your church.

Some baptist churches say the Holy Spirit is not alive in these days. If that is your church then God is not allowed in your church. You can do nothing because your church doesn't believe in God.

If that is not the case does your church teach spiritual warfare? If not get out of that church.

The witches and demons know how to do their jobs.

How do you know all this is going on?

If you are asking all these questions you are not able or ready to fight. This is dangerous. I would tell you to get educated for later on in life.

There is retaliation evolved by demons and evil human spirits.

I have to agree 100 percent with Loveschild. Without the power of the Holy Spirit and the authority given to you by Jesus Christ well...............I agree with her.

What kind of proof do you have there any certain person is a witch or warlock? If you do have proof, my question is WHAT KIND OF PASTOR DO YOU HAVE THAT WOULD ALLOW SUCH PEOPLE TO CONTINUE? The first thing to be done is to minister Christ to these people and if they refuse then they are to be cast out of the congregation. There is Biblical protocol with such as these.
As for the warfare:
FIRST, make sure that YOU are not part of the problem by gossiping about these people; by this I mean that you are not telling people who do not need to know this information...it could be discussed amongst those that already know and the pastor. BE CAREFUL. Ask Holy Spirit for discernment...of course...if you do not view Holy Spirit as being active today, then...suck it up. Because without Holy Spirit and His input, you will loose the battle.
Plead the blood of Jesus over the entire congregation DAILY.
Verbally CANCEL ALL spoken words from these people towards any and everyone, in the name of Jesus. This SHOULD be done by the pastor and intercessors.
WHERE ARE THE INTERCESSORS????
WHY does the enemy have a legal right to be present in the lives of the people of this congregation??? These questions must be answered. (Prov 26:2)
And regardless of what you think about these people, at all times remember that they, also, are created in the image of God. He loves them. They are lost and need a Savior...so show respect, compassion and love. This does not mean you have to tolerate what they do and if they refuse to quit, inform them that they are no longer welcome and will not be allowed in. This is for the PASTOR to do, not YOU, as he is the head of the congregation.
If you have a pastor that is either unable or unwilling to take control of this situation, and after diligent intercession, prayer and spiritual warfare, he still allows them to say, LEAVE.
Maggie
Being baptized in the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues as evidence is CRUCIAL for being involved in spiritual warfare. Demons are SPIRITS. One cannot fight spirits without THE Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Spirit (acts 2 and 19) was given as an EMPOWERMENT to DO the Will of God. Without that empowerment, you are Flesh fighting the supernatural and demonic.

We do preach, the Holy Spirit and aware that Spiritual Warfare is a very real thing, as for my proof of the witch and warlock... They were at a church 9 years ago they were there they told us then, my evidence is that it came straight out of their mouths, between then and now they have been asked to leave every other church in town because they fooled the people in those churches, robbed them of money, and made them doubt their faith in God, I am not the only one who knows this, but I am the only one who has connected the dots to the recent goings on in the church... Some people don't know specifically but sense that something is not right so they are careful as to who they let lay hands on them and pray for them... The random illness from Spiritual attack, is the pastor and his wife, he knows we are in Spiritual Warfare but doesn't know where it's coming from, or the physical/ emotional strength to deal with it. Why are they there, it could be as simple as unforgiveness, I know one person has dabbled with the occult, how do I know, he told me he wanted to be a shape shifter and had planned to learn it, but for good rather than evil.
I haven't said much, I pray and observe the path of destruction, the church as a people are crumbling around me, there must be something I can do?

The Bible clearly states that a curse without cause will NOT attach itself to the person. Also God said if you curse Israel, then you will be cursed, remember. We are spiritual Israel because we were adopted into the same family because we accepted Jesus Christ. So in simplistic terms if someone curses you they become cursed, not the other way around according to God. Also a curse without cause will not come on you.

So this is simply not realising who you are in Christ Jesus and the power and authority HE has given you. Jesus said, "In MY NAME, remember? You will cast out demons, etc. did you forget that? You are giving this people far more credit and far more power than they have and you are diminishing the power Jesus has already beat the stuffings out of satan at the cross.

If your congregation is this weak in understanding I would have to think you are all still on milk and baby christians to not know any better than that.

Nehemiah 13:2Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.

Are you not adopted into the family of God? Then whoever curses Israel, or YOU, God curses, whoever blesses YOU, God blesses.

Genesis 12:3And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

You are blessed because you are part of that family. That was how all the families of the earth were blessed. It was through Jesus Christ which redeemed us from the curse of the law. Galatians 3:13

If Jesus Christ himself has redeemed YOU from the curse of the law, who is more powerful that HIM that can curse you? No one. For the Bible also states there is no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus.

So how did Jesus tell us to respond to these type of people?

Bless those that curse you, and persecute you. PRAY FOR THEM.

You have the power to break this entire situation by silent prayer. You don't have to open your mouth to a soul. You go into your secret prayer closet and pray for them. It will be done.

Who did Jesus hang out with? The tax collectors and prostitutes. Who did he despise? The Pharisees. Who did he want to reach with the gospel? Everyone.

If you are in a Baptist church, then seek to win the lost to Christ. I came out of the occult. God totally set me free, and many people I knew that were involved in it. Do you know why? Because Christian took the time to pray for us, and witness to us about the love of God. No one is unreachable.

In fact on Thursday I go to lunch with a woman who I have been sharing the gospel with for 40 years, who is an avowed witch. I still pray I can reach her. That is what we are to do if we want to fulfill the Great Commission. Don't be afraid of these people, claim them for Christ. And someone who turns from such darkness will be a bolder and more effective witness than the ones who grow up to be Pharisees, white washed tombs obeying the law, and forgetting mercy, and that Jesus said that the neighbor is the person who is in reach.

Blessings and prayers to you.

Seeing how no one has brought it up, i'd like to point out that there is a group of whatever you'd like to call them; that reffers to themselves as Wickins (not sure if thats spelled correctly) that with all their mind heart and soul, that they not only beleive their witches and warlocks but openly confess that they worship satan.

They do this openly when you attempt to witness the Gospel to them, i know this from first hand experience in the feild.

I have run into numerous, and i swear that they copy chistian behaviour in public, and don't peddle their stuff to you; and would not invite you, unless they pick out. What i found odd, is some of them have incredible eyes and the most livley spirits and smiles.

You'd be blown away by what some people beleive living all around you.

Love and Peace in CHRIST!!!Forever!:)

P.S. Father Says, Throw the Devil OUT in the name of CHRIST! If its distrupting worship, that means whoever satan is using as well.

Wiccans. And any Wiccan worth his salt will make it quite clear that he doesn't worship Satan. There are only two possibilities here, that you're lying or that you were lied to. In either case, this disinformation is a good decade old. If this isn't your first time saying it public, you already know this.

I got no problem standing corrected, if you know something that i didn't express correctly as there are many types of beleifs out there. I may very well have confused wiccans with another group of people who do worship satan.

And sincerely apologize if i have made a mis-leading statement.

On the other hand i stand firm on my statements, concerning witchs and warlocks, and if this is what their into; who do you think they would be worshipping anyway.

Rather than slam me as a liar; as i know this to br true, concerning the the witch and warlock part. Possibley there is either a group with the same name; or you could explain to me how there Christian?

Thank-You Love and Peace Forever in CHRIST!!! :)
