obv i know you dont agree with other religions because you belive there tell a lie version of your story that there god created the world.

but what about other religion that dont have a god or say other things are god for example a religion that worships nature and how it works how the sun gives heat and allows life to grow and survive do you have a problem with those religions. do you think you can be a christian and also follow a relgion that worships nature or respects the dead. do you belive those religions shouldnt exists or are bad/evil. what are you thoughts

The devil will always come up with ways to divert your atention from God and His plans for your life. I do not think you must take part in any cult, religion or occult, but rather live a life of love, care and kindness to everyone christian and non-christian alike.
Also, I think joining such will result in people questioning your relationship with JEsus. Peace

I have friends that are die-hard Christians and LOVE Jesus but they follow some Buddhist/Taoist principles. Religions that really don't have "gods" are more ways of life than betraying the Lord.

As an apache indian. I can say that these types of worship are still idolatry. we are all sinners. and no amount of deeds is going to take that away. not washing under the biggest waterfalls. nothing can cleanse us except for the blood of christ. Not that i understand everything, but i understand god is a jealous god. and all respect should go to him and not anyone or anything else. he created the heavens and earth and not by any other power are good things made.

It comes down to a couple of basic things.

Either man made himself (evolution), or he was created by a creator.
If man evolved, then he has n creator and has no life after death. He has nothing but his own opinion to base his morals on. So, if I decided that eating people was ok, nobody could tell me I was wrong because there would be no absolute truth or absolute right or wrong. This is the ONLY religion that does not have a creator. It teaches that man made himself and is responsible to nobody. And because of that it also tells us when we die, we cease to exist and that nothing at all in the whole universe matters in time.
It is a religion that tells us we can do what we like so long as we have a big enough stick in our hand to get away with it.

The religion of Mother Nature is one of evolution. One where man's own ability to survive at a cellular level caused him to create himself. The one with no good or bad apart from man's own opinions.

Then one needs to ask which creator he was created by, and how we can be acceptable and righteous before this creator. Are we able to be acceptable to this creator 100% as we are? Has anything made us bad/evil/unrighteous towards him? Are we as good as our creator is?

If the Bible is the religion to follow, then it tells us that nobody can follow God and also follow other idols at the same time. We cannot follow God properly if we are also making money the most important thing in our life. Or tv, or friends, or anything else. If God is not the main focus of our life, we are worshiping whatever is our main focus.

If God says not to

The Bible tells of a perfect God creating man as a perfect being with the choice to either follow God's ways or to reject him and be separated from him. Man chose to sin and in doing so he separated himself from his creator because man was now in a sinful state and our perfect creator had to take the payment from us that that sin deserved. Death. The Bible tells us that good works do not pay for bad works. Good deeds cannot undo a single sin. The only payment that can be made for sin is death. Man knew that was true before he chose to sin the first time.

The Bible's Christianity is the only religion that teaches us that man cannot do anything or say anything that can save himself. ALL the other religions, buhhdists, muslims, mormons, roman catholics - every other religion - says that man can in some way earn merit for his own salvation. But the Bible also says that man can't do anything perfectly good now and so every one of our good works is also marred by sin and counts, as Isaiah the prophet said, as Filthy Rags before God.

So that is the important difference between all religions. The means by which man can have his bad deeds forgiven and properly dealt with.

Technically, nothing is stopping you from believing that evolution is the HOW, and God is the WHY. Science and religion don't have to combat each other. They can co-exist peacefully. You have to just see things from different perspectives. Just because it's not in the Bible doesn't make it false.

That only applies if you have no understanding of the curse that God put on creation because of sin, and the entire point of the Gospel. It also requires you to ignore the hebrew wording that God deliberately used in the creation account.

If there was death and suffering (the main requirement for evolution) before sin, then the curse of death because OF sin is a lie. And that means that Jesus died to undo something that the evolutionary god would have described in Genesis as "very good" / perfect.

Logically, evolution requires more faith than creation does.

I don't know if you know this, but there is a HUGE theory that the whole "7-days" thing isn't literal. Read Genesis 1 to 2:4. Then the rest of Genesis 2. They are two very different stories.

The first few days were without a sun or moon. How then can you say God created it in a human day? A "day" for an all knowing all seeing super-entity could be millions if not billions of years.

By the same means I said you were ignoring... the hebrew wording.

The word Yom (day) in both genesis 1 and 2. Everywhere else in the old testament when that word is used in conjunction with the phrase "morning and evening" and with a number, every other time without exception it means a literal 24 hour day. It's the same word Moses used in exodus 20 with the 10 commandments to say we have a 6 day work week and 1 day rest. Which he also said was based on the creation week.

"Sorry teacher I didn't do my homework.
Why's that?
I'm on my million year weekens"

As for the theory fo them being separate storys? Jesus Himself quotes both genesis 1 and 2 in the same sentence as historical fact when he said
"Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, and said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh. Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."

If you allow the theory that they are separate events or versions, then you make Jesus a liar.

They are different stories, but they are not different stories of the same event. Genesis 2 merely focuses on the 6th day.

I agree with this. You can be a Christian but still understand how certain other teachings bring a manner of peace to your life. As long as things are not contrary to the word then they are okay.

For instance Yoga. There are some people who believ yoga is Idolatry and it is a religion. Yoga is not a religion, just because many buddhist use it doesnt mean it is religion in and of itslef.

Exactly! Yoga is a healthy mental and physical exercise that is proven to calm people down and make their overall demeanor more pleasent. The same can be said for meditation. It isn't some weird praying ritual, you're simply using it to calm yourself. You can even pray to God when meditating. I do it all the time. Sometimes I'll use it to think about the glory of God, not necessarily to speak to him, but others I simply think about a mountain or a lake, something peaceful to calm myself down.

Buddhism in and of itself isn't a "religion" like many of us would define. It doesn't really have a god, but it doesn't disallow one either. You can be a God-loving Christian who worships Jesus as your one and ONLY savior, and still be a practicing Buddhist.

On a side note, I find it interesting that many Buddhists (non-Christian at all) believe that Jesus is what's called a bodhisattva, a Buddhist saint-like being that exists solely to love and bring people to find peace and compassion in their hearts. (Most Christians who happen to practice Buddhist teachings usually don't believe in bodhisattvas, just Jesus and God.)

I believe there is only one religion and that is the bible and Gods word. There are however a lot of different denominations so i think the the churches are different not the religion. God has sheep in all flocks and toward the end when He says the sheep will hear my voice and come out of babylon that is when we gather under one banner. Just my thoughts and opinion
