That's the easy one. Now answer the hard one. What in "take me home, country roads" is evil?
I heard that John Denver got a 5 minute standing ovation the first time he performed that song live. (y)

The title 'JimmyTheLock' sounds like a burglar/hustler name from a Columbo movie, and your picture kinda fits it. No offense, but I don't get a Christian vibe from them. For me it doesn't jive w/your sanctimonious come-on. Just sayin, since we're trying to be proper here.
Columbo was cool. 🕵️
"One more thing Mr. Lock. Maybe you can help me out."

Our Country Anthem

I can't find the full video anymore, but this is a rough audio cassette, no doubt, from 1980 at the dedication of our new football stadium. Gov Jay Rockefeller, originally from NY, was there with Sen Byrd. It's funny how the crowd cheered for Denver, but listen when he introduced the politician. Boooo🗣️🏈🗣️🗣️BOOOOO!!!
😄👍

Sure there are other big fish to fry, but secular music prepares people's minds and emotions to go dark.,.. just how the devil likes it!
I missed this post jimmy. So I will address it and take into consideration what you say, because you seemed concerned about us secular music folk.

I listened to the sex pistols, Motorhead and led zep growing up and all the way to Eminem and wham, did it prepare or cause me to die my hair pink, smoke dope, flunk school, visit gay clubs or fight with my neighbours?. There was never I time I prayed back then and said..."my God, what is the cause of all this, my natural sinful nature or the music? But now I am saved and I can now ask, I can at least say for sure that my sinful nature came first because of what the Bible says, and that music can be an outpouring of the sinful nature, sure, but as for conditioning me, I can only see that it is the LOVE, (or craving) of secular music that would be the root of any sin. Not the music itself.

Pretty much like the wrong saying that money is the root of all evil. it's not. it's the LOVE of money. The craving.

There is a type of music, actually that is addictive to me, and that is the crappy trance music that is repetitive and without lyrics and sends me into a spaced out prayer less and mindless mode that has become fashionable and played at raves. It boots God right out of the picture because it hijacks my Jesus Gene.
Now, if I ever find I am desiring and craving any secular music over Prayer, God and His Word, I hope and pray I will become concerned because I am currently practising to become a music producer.

Blessings brother.

Hmmm... maybe World Wide Message was a bad choice in my music recommendations to you.

There were a lot of parallels that I connected with in the first two movies. One was the choreography. The martial arts scenes were the same as I taught in my system.

Another thing that I liked was that his character was clearly a virtuous hero. The villains were believable and based on reality, which helped provide Denzel plenty of opportunities to work off of. The big guy and the prostitute in #1 were written into the script with amazing support. You as a writer can probably appreciate that script.
I was thinking about starting a thread on the movie, but doubt if enough interest or people who saw it. I don't think #3 was hardly advertised, but not sure since I have ad block and don't watch TV....almost Amish.
Lol

Did you see Equalizer 3?
I did not. Oh... and I'm not a writer, either :)

That was an inside joke. Lol
The title says something about Monarch (Mothra?). Then Kurt Russell stars in it. He was Jack Burton in BIG Trouble in Little China 1990s. That's OK, Gojira is probably the only one who got it. BTW, I wonder if he had anything to do with this new movie you brought up?
@Gojira ?
I don't have Apple TV either, so I will not be seeing this. I'd love to, but...

"Monarch" is the name of the organization that is researching all of these beasts, or something. I forget. It's not Mothra.

The only actor I care about is...

GODZILLLAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

Though I do like famous faces in these movies.

Hey... Equalizer and Godzilla combine forces to fight evil! Denzel and the big G. Together at last.

Just throwing out some advice I found in God's Word that we reap what we sow... if one sows darkness into their minds then they will become dark and be deceived to that darkness claiming it's all good up in they hood... when it's not.

Each person has to decide for themselves if they are going to be led by the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ... Who Jesus said the Holy Ghost would lead us in to ALL Truth (John 16:13), and Jesus said God's Word IS Truth (John 17:17)

Or, if they are going to allow the forces of darkness to lead them.

I too grew up as a hippie, leading a life of hedonism having grown up in the 70s and 80s... been there done that, and it's imperative that one lives as an over comer of the things of this world in order to be in right standing with the Lord if they desire to spend eternity with Him.

Not sure bout everyone else, but I got tired of demons pushing me around... so now, where my life is concerned, I push them around by abiding IN Christ thru the authority of Jesus Christ. There's no darkness IN Christ, so secular music is not found in this place of peace and contentment.

Did you see the last one on the coast of Southern Italy? Robert could have used some help with the mafia at one point.

It was supposed to be released to the theaters 10-23.
The next week or so it was already pulled from our local ones. That's why I only saw it once. We'll just have to buy the DVD.
I don't want to spoil it for you.
There were so many connections I had with the first two that it would fill many pages to describe. The third one reminded me of why I was born in America. I'll just say that my grandfather had something to do with it concerning an experience in another part of Italy. He died before I was born, but I was told what happened. That movie was a special gift to me that reminded me of my heroic grandpa and my heritage.

Are you really claiming that any music that is not specifically Christian - aka secular music - is ALL created as an offering to the devil?
My kids were singing the Alphabet Song today.
All I could hear was...

A B C D E F G.....
(but then h i j k l m n o p sounded like)
Jimmy says this song is not good for me

*sigh* who knew that the Alphabet Song was so sinful?
