Pauls preaching, evangelism was for the elects sake also, just as the twelve 2 Tim 2:10

9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
How are you suffering doing God's will?

You said something that is not in the Bible.
You got caught basically telling a false thing.
You basically lied.

You do those wrong things and claim you're suffering for God?
You are in complete denial.

False, believe isnt a condition or command here
Quite obviously we have different interpretations of salvation, the Bible, etc. I believe what the Bible clearly says: each person must believe that Jesus died for her/him in order to be saved. If that wasn't the case, then those who reject Christ have nothing to worry about.

I guess when Luke wrote the in Acts he didn't know what he was talking about, correct?

Acts 16:25-32, "About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”

The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house."

I guess that puts an end to the discussion, at least for me. I believe what the Bible clearly says. Period.

You are putting your trust in yourself rather than God!
We must put our trust in what Christ has done for us, not what we have done for Christ.
Since you write garbage like this -- "You are putting your trust in yourself rather than God!" -- you are now on "ignore".

Matthew 7:1-5, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye."

If the Church in Revelation 3 were once saved, why do they need Jesus to revisit and knock on their heart AGAIN? From what I read you believe salvation security. So if they are secure, why would Jesus have to do the same thing twice?

Clearly Jesus is speaking to the unsaved.
Nope. He's telling saved people that their relationship with Him is dynamic and requires action on their part to maintain and grow.

Yes we do, you are corrupting the word of God, Jn 3 16 believing is a present tense participle not a command, its not a condition.

The Jailor just asked a question, he probably was regenerated at that time, and sought spiritual guidance. Man cant do anything to get saved, Christ does the saving. Paul lead him to faith in Christ by giving him the word as it implies in Vs 32

32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

I am corrupting the word of God ??? Are you infallible or do you just like to think that you are???

Claiming that the Jailor just asked a question and was regenerated at that time, and sought spiritual guidance is sheer nonsense. Reading fiction into the Bible is a dangerous habit!!!

You too have earned "ignore" status! I won't pay any further attention to your mythology.

So you're admitting you do not have Bible to back your opinion. That was easy to call you out on it.

Man made doctrine won't get you into Heaven no matter how many people in this thread you have FOOLED.

God isn't fooled by you, that's definitely for sure.
Do you believe it is necessary to believe correct doctrine which is from God?

I believe God gave us the Bible so we don't go around making things up.
And if we read and study the Bible we can quote scripture and not make something up.

How can someone be saved but not already have Jesus inside them?
They can't. Neither can they open the door because they cannot hear Him knocking. Revelation 3:20 is about fellowship and not salvation.

We need to be saved before we need or can have fellowship.

Are you saying the Laodecians are saved or not saved?

Some of them were saved, Christ loves them and chastens them, so they are saved. Rev 3:19-20

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Those whom God chastens will not be condemned with the unsaved condemned world 1 Cor 11:32

32 But when we[saints] are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Jesus said they were lukewarm and He would vomit them out. So they cannot be saved. Once you're saved you are saved. And Jesus is threatening to get rid of them. That means they're ""not saved."" They were never saved, just playing church, pretending.

That's why verse 20 is a call to salvation.

Anyone who believes in Once Saved Always Saved knows if God can get rid of you then you were Never saved to begin with.

Jesus said He would VOMIT the Laodecians out. A saved person cannot be Vomited Out under the Once Saved Always Saved doctrine.
