What are the symptoms of bipolar?. How do you know if someone has a bipolar disorder?.. Just curious that's all. (Please do not post a link that's like a million paragraphs long, i won't read it because i'd just get bored). Thanks a lot for your co-operation :)

Hmmm...hard question. I think it has something to do with your emotions changing at the drop of a hat...but not sure. So if someone on here has bipolar disorder and sees this, please don't be offended...I just don't know that much about it.

I have it. I can actually go out and buy happines because of it.
Happiness costs 50 dollars a month with an insurance card and a college pharmacy.

NIMH · Bipolar Disorder
scroll down to the table of symptoms
the symptoms are understated (not explained well enough)

If you're actually paranoid that you have it, go see a psychiatrist (only if it's making your life a disorder).

bipolar is like a magnet one end is negative and one end is positive, and they attract both good and bad things

Key to bipolar is it manifests itself to people differently. I read one woman would go manic and shop until she maxed her credit cards out. That would, in turn depress her when she got all the bills. She'd get everything caught up eventually, , which caused a manic upswing and she'd go shopping again. During manic episodes (up swings) the person sleeps very little and can have an bubbling energy that can be tiring just to be around.
My best friend in CA was bipolar, she manifested in studying for school You couldn't pull her out of a book or off the laptop, next thing you know she's so down on herself she's ready to quit school.
Not uncommon for bipolars to have anger problems, or violence issues. They can also have hallucinations. The mood swings can be as quick as minutes apart or as much as months apart.

bi polar is a man made term. Everyone has mood swings. Everyone. Some more than others and for different reasons. But to label someone as bi polar and try and get them on a drug is freakin stupid.

What's wrong with drugs? I can now buy happiness by taking a bus and paying 25 dollars at a pharmacy.
It's real happiness.

That's like saying: everyone has paranoia. everyone. some more than others and for different reasons. but to label someone as a paranoid schizophrenic and try and get them on a drug is freakin stupid.

Sometimes, drugs simply fix problems.

You obviously haven't done much research about bipolar disorder as it is much more than just mood swings.

Bipolar is different for different people, some have full blown mania (which can lead to crazy shopping sprees) others only get hypo manic, and many especially those with Bipolar type 2 deal with a severe depression often, some people with bipolar even rapid cycle.

You yourself can't truly tell if someone you know is bipolar, it has to be diagnosed by someone qualified to do so

OK I have to chime in here. Bipolar is not just a term men use or being demon possessed, it is real. If you are looking for symptoms use WebMD or the NIMH site. The symptoms are varied. I highly suggest you do not self diagnosis. We can all see ourselves in many "illnesses". I have the hypomania that shows up as constant low level frustration. Bipolar NOS (not otherwise specified), mild bipolar. I have come to this site hoping for rational biblical support for this. Not irrational, uneducated (about mental illness) opinions. I pray that is what I find here.

If you notice, really only one person passed off bipolar as just mood swings and nothing more. And if you notice, that individual has been banned off the site. You'll find mixed results though, some will believe its demons, or moodiness and others will understand its a mental illness. Finding Christian support for mental illness is often difficult as many preachers teach against psychology.

Aren't mental diseases evil possession... ?

I believe so. And there's a testimony that may be relative... [link]

And I can say, at the least, evil possession's a cause, because God's driving evil spirits out of me right now...

The minor ones I can feel them leaving in day-time, the major ones I saw them getting out of me when I was half asleep (They say you experience more spiritual things in this stage, for example, when you wake)... Previously I didn't feel good...

Mikejordan777, I think you're right to let God help you over this, because I believe God is almost the only way... Doctors can do no-thing... The drugs. I read some-where they can't help you... Yes, I believe mental diseases're evil possession, but the reason that man gave is that these medicines're actually for the sake of the society... They damage your brain... It's like, they make you quiet, and the rest of us can live without your disturbance... It's like a cheat from the government...

Apples, if you ask me, leave the pharmacies, ask God for help... Mikejordan777 has been under control, and I'm getting better and better myself.

After all, God's more powerful than drugs...

Mental illnesses are usually caused by chemical imbalances of the brain. It is an extremely bad idea to tell someone to go off their medications, if they want to go that route the need to discuss it with their doctor, no the meds don't cure it but it can make mental issues more manageable

"Doctors can do nothing" that is an extremely false statement

.. It's like, they make you quiet, and the rest of us can live without your disturbance... It's like a cheat from the government
actually it's more like I can live without my disturbance, quiets down racing thoughts and makes it slightly easier to function in my daily life,

I think I should have been more cautious about the medical thing...

But I can't delete or edit my post now...

What I can do now is only adding this post.

So, please decide by yourself to see a doctor or not, to use medicines or not...

Ignore those words of mine.

What are the symptoms of demon possession??
moment_of_faith, I only know what other people have told me. They say that they felt something inside them, or that they had strange urges to say swear words or rude things to other people for no reason at all. One guy told me he felt like he wasn't in control of his own mind. You can send me a message through my profile, if you'd like to talk.
