I wish. :p haha, no. Kidding! Well, if a woman is in her proper role, in the kitchen, she should be too busy to feel lust. :D

My mother once said. "Men play at love to get sex, women play at sex to get love." Obviously she was speaking of the way the world goes about things, but unfortunately this has permeated the church likewise in recent decades.
So much truth in that quote. Thanks for sharing.

I went out with a couple of girls who were more lustful than I, but it probably wasn't them so much as the fact I tend to forget I even have a body.

On my side of the world, most (not all) men seem to think they are the only ones, and most women reinforce that false notion by pretending to be indifferent or ignorant to sexuality. It is true that most men are weaker than women in that aspect, but that doesn't mean women aren't vulnerable.

With very few exceptions, all humans feel lust. It is a natural thing.

Wow, this is great material for a science fiction piece (impregnation by falling on random object). It could be invented in order to encourage population growth in places like Russia and Detroit.

Maybe men should stop dressing so seductively and baring skin all the time , or stop being on the cover of those magazines like when I'm trying to buy some deoderant and they are just telling me how to please my man and what to do to make my breast and butt firmer.

Then I could try to understand what women struggle with

No, ritt, it was not the falling on the object that caused the baby for elizzy. Reread above please.

Hey then, milady, what was it that caused the child of God to be born?

Hmmm, do you remember having eaten anything tasting funny that same day the birth occurred ?

:D

I wish. :p haha, no. Kidding! Well, if a man is in his proper role, in the living room vacuuming the floor with a net over his head, there would be no lust. :D

Seriously though, i know this happens with women. Think i've even dated some women with that problem. 0.0 Thats all i'll say to that.
Corrected what you meant.

Ducking under a shielded table might be safer as you don't have to doge then.

Here's a rolling pin to throw.

Seriously, NO JOKE!

But as for emotional lust, as someone mentioned earlier, well that's only part of it. The Old Spice Man, as Jules mentioned earlier, is not about emotional lust but physical. It's the romance novels that feed into emotional lust.

LOL violakat :)

I'm sure all of the wolf whistles, crude pickup lines, CASUAL/INNOCENT/ACCIDENTAL brushes/caresses against certain parts of their bodies they receive on an almost daily basis, the comments and staring at their breasts even when wearing heavy winter sweaters, persistent sexual innuendos, propositions and requests for the color of their panties five minutes into a conversation would be a piece of cake for most guys to deal with, huh? ;)

This kind of disrespectful joking doesn't seem like it belongs on a christian forum. :( Don't you think this might give new seekers in faith a bad impression of christian men? Major ouch you guys.

I'm at mixed feelings over your comment. I can see your point. But at the same time, I also realize both the men were joking, and in no way does this reflect their true hearts. I also think, that most people who come in, including new Christians, will probably realize right away that this is not how they normally think, especially if they read the other forums. But, then their is that one who may possibly be hurting and comes across this at the wrong time.

I'm all for civility, but one should realize they are walking into a minefield when they go into a forum.

I made the mistake of looking at this thread before bed last night. Those "jokes" kind of gnawed at me to tell you the truth... I saw it as people making light of an outdated stifling attitude that's still an unfortunate reality for some.

RELENA: I understand where you are coming from and can see both sides of the issue. For women who have been around men who do not take women seriously and/or women who have been treated disrespectfully, this would most definitely push their buttons and reinforce their mistrust of men in general. However, like Viola, I know that these particular guys really ARE kidding and treat women with extreme respect.

Maybe guys really don’t understand how some of the “guys will be guys” things like remarks/whistles/touching of women really embarrass modest christian ladies and the temptations it can lead them to. A lot of guys actually convince themselves that they are flattering women by doing these things…

And I did find myself wondering how it would be taken if women were to post similarly in response to the many porn addiction threads. Maybe guys don’t understand the depths that sexual addiction can drag a woman to. The difference is actually HUGE… Guys who are addicted to porn aren’t actually have relationships with those women for the most part. Women who struggle with sexual addiction most certainly do. Maybe guys see her as just another party girl having a good time being passed from guy to guy to guy…

EVERYONE ELSE:

There was something I noticed in djness’ post that has been swimming around in my brain…the “how to please your man” thing. Why do we never see “how to please your woman” articles? Is that unimportant? Or do guys think the stuff they watch in porn will actually accomplish that? Or do they just not care about it?

This is not the most comfortable thread and/or post I’ve ever typed in this forum…but..we’re all adults here and, hopefully, we can keep the conversation open and respectful. And if any information presented here protects one young lady or one young man, or impacts a young marriage in a positive manner, then it will have been worth a few minutes of uneasiness.
