I think I should write more..
2 Peter 2:7,8 -
and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked (for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard);
If you are saved you should too be "vexed in your righteous soul" over the debauchery that is taking place at the club. THE CLUB IS WHERE PEOPLE WHO HATE GOD GO.
Lets see what happens at the club:
1) Drunkenness - debauchery
2) Sexual immoral dancing and activity
3) Drugs
4) Occasional fight, scuffles, and other crime
5) Sinful music glorifying sin
*The people love the darkness in the club because the know its sinful. I know darkness in the bible is used spiritually, but Adam and Eve too went to a place to hide from God when they were in sin.. just a side thought.
Acts 17:16 -
Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him as he saw that the city was full of idols.
These are example of saved people and their reaction to OTHER PEOPLES sin AROUND them. Are you too grieved about the sins of the people around you when you enter into a place like the club, or do you enjoy it along with them? If you do, your probably not saved.
Galatians 5:19-21 -
Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things WILL NOT INHERENT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
Take these words very seriously, idc what your theology is, if you engage or approve of these things your not going to enter into the Kingdom of God. You will go to hell.
Romans 1:32 -
Though they know God’s decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
Your giving approval to the practice of sin when you don't even rebuke it but express happiness in the presence of it. Trust me. Also, if your going your saying it's not sin (though it clearly is), if not, then why are you going?
John 1 John 2:15-17 -
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
You cannot deny that club and venues like it are worldly, it is undoubtedly one of the most secular recreations for young adults in not only America, but probably the whole world. But in case you don't agree, look at the three descriptions of the damnable things in the world:
1) Desires of the flesh - c'mon. The sensual dancing, the seeking after sexual partners, the perverse activities that go on at the club, alcohol, drugs, the flesh loves these things.
3) Desires of the eyes - lust.
2) Pride in possessions - money, wanting to be seen. (the NIV says - "boasting of what he has and does")
So...based on the bible, I don't see how a saved person can enjoy the club. I want to say, you said you've only been there once, I don't know what your spiritual condition was when you went, so I AM NOT JUDGING YOU. We can judge, but I'm not cus I don't have all the info. But if after everything the bible says, you still choose to reject what it says and find some excuse to go, then you ought to realize what your spiritual condition is.. It seems useless for me to even say this though, because a born again person does not even have to read it to know its wrong..they should feel convicted by the Holy Spirit, idk why you don't..??
