God is love.

I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell. 2 I may have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have all the faith needed to move mountains—but if I have no love, I am nothing. 3 I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned[a]—but if I have no love, this does me no good.

4 Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; 5 love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; 6 love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. 7 Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.

8 Love is eternal. There are inspired messages, but they are temporary; there are gifts of speaking in strange tongues, but they will cease; there is knowledge, but it will pass. 9 For our gifts of knowledge and of inspired messages are only partial; 10 but when what is perfect comes, then what is partial will disappear.

The word was made flesh - God's will was made whole in a man . . Jesus.

And how did Jesus treat everyone? Even those some would call 'unsaved'?

With LOVE!

And Jesus said to her 'woman, who has condemned you?'

The woman replied 'No one, Lord'

Jesus said 'Nor do I condemn you. Go and sin no more'.

Jesus shares God's will. Jesus acted to the woman as God would act.

Jesus is blameless, yet he chose still not to throw a stone at her.

Some will say 'That's different, she wasn't saved'.

But the very person who was given right to judge (Jesus) chose not to judge her. He forgave her.

If the very man whom can save us, forgave her, then she is forgiven.

Do you think that He will treat any of us any differently than that woman?

His will is unchanging, His love is all encompassing and his task was COMPLETE.

'It is done'.

John 14:21 (KJV)
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 14:23 (KJV)
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Love is keeping the law

Jesus says he'll love those that keep his commandment to love others.

That is a promise. That doesn't mean that He doesn't love everyone.

Why would Jsus tell us that 1. God is love and 2. To love our neighbours as ourselves, if He will not do the same thing also?

Jesus was manifest on Earth to be our very EXAMPLE of this.

Love is petient, love is kind etc.

Jesus was always acting in love, in everything He did right up until He died on the cross.

He healed. He taught. He forgave. He ate, drank. He acted in love, always.

Jesus and God share a singular will, so what does Jesus' attitude say about God?

In the same way, love is NOT keeping the commandments.

Love is WANTING to keep the commandments.

I can do something just because I'm told, or I can WANT to do it because it's right.

Love IS the commandment.

It is to cultivate love.

And from that love, everything else comes.

Because these three will remain: Faith, Hope, and Love.

We are told everything is nothing without love.

Why is that?

Commandments are nothing without love. Rules are nothing, without love. Gifts are nothing, if they are not for love.

This is why we are to become last and serve others.

Even if I teach without love, my teaching is pointless.

The person matters more than the letter.

My spirit, my attitude, my thoughts, matter more than doctrine.

My actions matter more than what I may get in return.

And for that reason, love is unconditional.

God is long suffering, patient, kind. He is true. He does not easily anger. He is nto one to delight in evil but is happy with the truth. God is splendorous and wonderful.

He waits FOR US! Mere puny humans!!

The God and creator of all shows us such love that He even gives us air to breath, and food to eat, and life to live. And free will to make our own choice. He loves us SO much, that He wishes we ALL come to Him.

What does that say?

God does not switch off. He does not have an off button. He does not fail. He does not tell lies. He does not steal. He does not do anything wrong.

Everything belongs to God yet He lets us leave like prodigal sons.

Because true love cannot be recognized without first knowing a life that does not always have it.

But He is ALWAYS there, waiting, guiding. Loving.

We are to be as children.

We can examine the world. We can hear its woes. See them. We can help them. We can surround ourselves in pain and grief to try to take it away.

Children are not afraid to explore.

But ultimately, we belong to God.

He is our Father.

Does a Father want to shelter His sons from the world? Or make them wise enough and strong enough to change it for the better, just as God wants to change us for the better?

I am like a 5 year old in God's arms, and in His eyes.

i know so little. Yet I can love, SO MUCH.

ozell, I pondered this more and saw how this may all be about How God chooses us to see.
For scripture says, some are called to serve through mercy, understanding, thus making a differance.
Some are called to serve through rightousness, thus pulling from the fire, despising the flesh that clings.

For with God all things are possible.
Jesus said, I do not give as the world gives.

Some are to see the comandments as the requirements of God's love.
So as to save from the fire.

Some, like me, see the commandments as God's gift of love.
Like the parent who gives these rules to keep their child from falling, or being consumed by evil.

The thing is, the result is the same, saving us through His comandments, and providing to us the means and way(Jesus) to do so, even if we sometimes fail.

Like the parent who is ready to save you from your own destruction.

I will always see in Jesus, God Our Fathers love as unconditional, simply because from our very creation to His commandments. all as His loving gift.
But I am willing as well to look through your eyes, seeing His commandments as a requirement of His love.
Not nessasarily because I agree, but because with God, all things are possible.

May we always give all things unto the Lord, for He is the way, truth and light we seek and love .
Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh! :)

Yes, many believe that God loves us unconditionally...but the Word does give many conditions that we must obey for us to become His children. Which means if we don't obey His commands , then we are not His. Great to see that post...

God's love is conditional

the tongue is will dertermine if you will get life or death

God don't love everyone

your tongue will get you thrown into the lake of fire

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
James 3

King James Version (KJV)

1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

3 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.

4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.

5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:

8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

The word made flesh. And he never treated anyone with anything except love.

God's love is unconditional. For God so loved the world that He sent his only son to die for the sins of man. God's free gift.

Don't think anyone escapes judgement though. We only escape death.

Judgement is there for all of us, even you.

Our sins will be revisited upon us. That is not the same as 'inflicted

The mirror, and thus, interpretation of it, tells us who we are at this point. I hope for it to unfade gradually on each person

I wish nobody to suffer. Nor to be unloved. For out of such things comes hatred, revenge, neglect, spite, anger, jealousy.

JOHN 14:21
He that hath my commandments, and keepth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

The commandments are for healing
(EX.15:25).

The commandment is pure
(PS.19:8).

The commandments are sure
(PS.111:7).

The commandments make one wise
(PS.119:97)).

The commandments are faithful (PS.119:86).

The commandments are truth (PS.119:151).

The commandments are righteousness (PS.119:172).

The commandments are length of days, long life, and peace
(PROV.3:1,2).

Your statement is double talk

If Jesus love is unconditional then not one person should suffer or face judgement

these people who suffer and face judgement had to do something to your unconditional God for them to suffers and have judgement passed on them

The commandment is a lamp, and a light
(PROV.6:23).

The commandments are peace, righteousness
(IS.48:18).

The commandment is life everlasting
(JOHN 12:49,50).

The commandment is holy, just, and good
(ROM.7:12).

MATH.5:19
Whosoever therefore shall break one of the least of these commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

(20) For I ay unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
