I just found out this morning that a very prominent minister in my city has professed to being unfaithful to his wife.He stepped down from his post two months ago without giving a reason, just said he was experiencing turmoil in his church.
Most of the members are welcoming him back with open arms, others are not so forgiving.I know the Bible says to forgive,so as Christians are we expected to be receptive to church leaders that are sinful but tell us not to be?There is a church in either Sweden or Scotland that actually allows a retired ATHEIST minister to preach his beliefs. How accepting should we be as Christians, and is our acceptance a reason for the on-going problems being uncovered?
