I did not leave that out, if you want to discuss that i can with voice. It is already the confusion at work, He know now lets will let until he, be taken out the way,. In the greek there is a transtive verb, it has to go back to verse 4, and the he, who has to be taken out of the way for the wicked to be revlead, in vers 4, is Michael who is holding him in Rev 12. It was not written to the thess,. only .It was written to all Christians.ALL churches that would be , any christian . Read Christ teachings of the same thing in Mark. all the way to the end.
When has this confusion never been at work, I has since the fall of man.

If we are all honest with ourselves, then chances are we are all guilty of it at some point or another.

Probably, it was early in the A.M. when I posted. :)

Anyways, in regards to Bookends' post that you quoted:

Christian truth without love is no truth at all for Christian truth is love. Christian truth (if one can even call it that) without love is nothing more than dead religion because the truth by itself can not transform a soul from death to life thus Christian truth without love is a clever but obvious deception from the devil.

So according to you the verses should go more like this.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and THOSE MEN of sin be revealed, the
SONS of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth THEMSELVES above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so THEY AS GODS sitteth in the temple of God, shewing THEMSELVES that THAT THEY ARE GODS

8 And then shall THOSE Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

We will have to pull Paul up with his mistake when we see him, thank God we have you in your wisdom to correct Pauls mistake.
lol as if you are any better than her...since you think the scripture should go something like this...

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and the antichrist be revealed, the prince of this world;"

you are also guilty of ignoring what scripture actually says and trying to impose your own meaning...

NO, he is called the man of sin in these verses and it should stay like that, change nothing

2 Thessalonians 2;3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God

the Son of Perdition
Only two individuals were given the title of 'son of perdition' - Judas (past) and a man to come (aka 'man of sin,' who is in the world today). Just like Judas, this man will be possessed by Satan himself. (I think he will be a 'pretend' Christian, just like Judas was)

*Judas*
Luke 22:3: "Then Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot"
John 6:70-71: "Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?” He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve"

*Man of Sin*
Daniel 7:8: "And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words"
Daniel 8:23-24: "And in the latter time of their kingdom, When the transgressors have reached their fullness, A king shall arise, Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power;
He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people"

What next? Will someone next week decide that there is no second coming?

Scripture has made these things clear, but yet some are quick to change it and come up with an alternative.

Now that was very good.

It’s nice to see someone use Daniel8 for a change, but I think you will get a lot of criticism about Daniel 8 for most Christians think it’s talking about Alexander the Great you know the gay man with the strong aftershave back in history. And some think a whole Bible chapter has been written on him. LOL

That’s just you squirming, because you also teach and preach “men of sin” and not “man of sin”.

You also teach the verses like this.

I wonder if that falls under, adding words to this book of the prophecy?

Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

The original son of perdition, ie son of the devil, was Cain. Thus Paul was referring to that race or nationality of man that descended from Cain. Paul said that race would oppose and exalt himself above "all that is called God", meaning all that is called by God's name, ie the Israelites.

So then, what Paul was saying is that, in the latter years prior to the second coming of Christ, Cain's decendants would oppose the Israelites and would exalt themselves above them.

NO Paul was referring to the antichrist, an antichrist shall come, the little horn, the prince of this world, the devil that will be cast out into the earth and comes with great wrath for a short time, the MAN of sin.

What you've presented is a fable.

The "little horn" for instance is a reference to AMERICA.

Daniel 7:8 "I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another little horn............and behold, in this horn were eyes like th eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things."

Daniel 8:9
"And out of one of them (ie out of England) came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land."

10 "And it waxed great even to the host of heaven......

11 "yea he magnified himself even to the prince of the host (ie even to the man of lawlessness....."

12 "And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice (ie against the daily school prayer) by reason of transgression, and it cast the truth to the ground; and it practiced and prospered."

I just wonder if this has been considered.
Paul spoke to the spirt of the antichrist, being already with us.
So by this we know that there are many who follow and bring the antichrist message.
But revelations speak to the indwelling, when the antichrist enters the one man, the antichist.
So this tells me that there is the spirit that is already with us, and that there will be an indwelling of one man antichrist.

Isnt it interesting that satan first came in a snake.
He then entered into judas, so to betray Jesus.
The indwelling, must be the last time,he enters any.
Because he has lost!

Im no expert on this though, just wanted to share.
All that should trully matter is that we know Jesus, and by this we will not be decieved.

God bless

Heeh, well thank you my dear, I love your graceful heart...That was my first impression when I learned Abiding was put on ignore by Crossfire, "who would put him on ignore"...Anyway, I'm sometimes very blunt in what I think and judgmental at times, but never I hope to the point of condemnation.

The Lord is still molding me and may He continue to do so, Amen.

actually i do believe there is only one man of sin...

-one- man of sin
-many- antichrists

just like the bible says...
Yes one man of sin and lots of antichrists who do you think the man of sin is a friend of Jesus?.

The Bible tells its own story, but you can interpret it a way if you like.

In the end ten kings arise “Antichrist kings” that make war with the lamb Rv17 (not lots, but ten), and out of the ten kings comes another king that makes war with the saints, and john says an antichrist shall come.

The devil is cast out into the earth and comes with great wrath for a short time, Jesus said the prince of this world cometh
The man of sin who comes before Jesus come again 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

The disciples prophecy’s according to the word that they had read in the old testament, ten kings a king that comes out of the ten and a mouth speaking great (little horn) both old and new testament.

Rv13:5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

Dan7;this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Dan7 great words which the horn spake

Verses from both, old and new testament.

This little horn, this king that comes out of the ten in the last days must be the man of sin, the devil which will be cast into the earth for a short time, and the antichrist that john said would come, and the prince of this world that Jesus spoke of.

And there is more if you have NO faith in the interpretation of Daniel8 that comes from the religious system, that say danile8 is Alexander the Great.

Daniel8:11Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host,

23And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

24And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

25--and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

The disciples new all these prophecy’s and prophesied according to the word, and its obvious someone will come, a king, a man, the devil that magnify himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, and makes war with the saints.

Christian doctrine has been built and called sound on a lot let than this.
