IAmTheLordsForever, I never said that Catholicism was without fault. But you'll find by just talking to a Catholic, that they don't worship Mary. I've also never heard a Catholic person mention that they believe the Pope to be another Christ.
All who are made righteous by Jesus bloody sacrifice and resurrection are called saints.

Google: Nostradamus's Black Pope Prophecy

But, as was pointed out by others, you should not give much credit to it. It is not Scriptural.

"The priest is, indeed, another Christ, or in some way, he is himself a continuation of Christ." (Pope Pius XI, Encylical on the Priesthood)

Catholics began using the title 'Mary, Mother of God' at the Council of Ephesus in 431 AD. They also capitalize any reference to Mary, just like the Bible does for Jesus and Yahweh. Additionally, in the Catholic Bible, they add all kinds of extra titles to Mary that are not in earlier translations.

"Since Christ died for all, and since all men are in fact called to one and the same destiny, which is divine, we must hold that the Holy Spirit offers to all the possibility of being made partakers, in a way known to God, of the Paschal mystery." Every man who is ignorant of the Gospel of Christ and of his Church, but seeks the truth and does the will of God in accordance with his understanding of it, can be saved. It may be supposed that such persons would have desired Baptism explicitly if they had known its necessity. (This came from the OFFICIAL Catholic Catechism)

Please check YOUR facts. I do thorough research, and have done so for the last 2-3 years, and have come to the conclusion that the Catholic Church has false doctrines littering its' beliefs. Having said that, there are surely a load of Catholics that do not believe everything lain down by the pope and believe whole-heartedly in Christ's sacrifice and salvation.
[h=1]On the Catholic Priesthood[/h]AD CATHOLICI SACERDOTII
ENCYCLICAL OF POPE PIUS XI ON THE CATHOLIC PRIESTHOOD DECEMBER 20, 1935
10. The priest, according to the magnificent definition given by St. Paul is indeed a man Ex hominibus assumptus, "taken from amongst men," yet pro hominibus constituitur in his quae sunt ad Deum, "ordained for men in the things that appertain to God": his office is not for human things, and things that pass away, however lofty and valuable these may seem; but for things divine and enduring. These eternal things may, perhaps, through ignorance, be scorned and contemned, or even attacked with diabolical fury and malice, as sad experience has often proved, and proves even today; but they always continue to hold the first place in the aspirations, individual and social, of humanity, because the human heart feels irresistibly it is made for God and is restless till it rests in Him.
11. The Old Law, inspired by God and promulgated by Moses, set up a priesthood, which was, in this manner, of divine institution; and determined for it every detail of its duty, residence and rite. It would seem that God, in His great care for them, wished to impress upon the still primitive mind of the Jewish people one great central idea. This idea throughout the history of the chosen people, was to shed its light over all events, laws, ranks and offices: the idea of sacrifice and priesthood. These were to become, through faith in the future Messias, a source of hope, glory, power and spiritual liberation. The temple of Solomon, astonishing in richness and splendor, was still more wonderful in its rites and ordinances. Erected to the one true God as a tabernacle of the divine Majesty upon earth, it was also a sublime poem sung to that sacrifice and that priesthood, which, though type and symbol, was still so august, that the sacred figure of its High Priest moved the conqueror Alexander the Great, to bow in reverence; and God Himself visited His wrath upon the impious king Balthasar because he made revel with the sacred vessels of the temple. Yet that ancient priesthood derived its greatest majesty and glory from being a foretype of the Christian priesthood; the priesthood of the New and eternal Covenant sealed with the Blood of the Redeemer of the world, Jesus Christ, true God and true Man.
12. The Apostle of the Gentiles thus perfectly sums up what may be said of the greatness, the dignity and the duty of the Christian priesthood: Sic nos existimet homo Ut ministros Christi et dispensatores mysteriorum Dei -- "Let a man so account of us as of the ministers of Christ and the dispensers of the mysteries of God." The priest is the minister of Christ, an instrument, that is to say, in the hands of the Divine Redeemer. He continues the work of the redemption in all its world-embracing universality and divine efficacy, that work that wrought so marvelous a transformation in the world. Thus the priest, as is said with good reason, is indeed "another Christ"; for, in some way, he is himself a continuation of Christ. "As the Father hath sent Me, I also send you," is spoken to the priest, and hence the priest, like Christ, continues to give "glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men of good will."

PLEASE EVERYBODY, READ THE WHOLE THING ABOUT WHAT POPE PIUS SAID ABOUT THE PRIESTHOOD, AS iamthelordsforever QUOTED THAT ONE LITTLE LINE AND LEFT OUT SOME REAL SIFNIFICANT PARTS. NOTICE HOW WHEN POPE PIUS DESCRIBES THE PRIESTS AS "ANOTHER CHRIST", HE DOES SO IN INVERTED COMMAS. I COPIED AND PASTED THIS TEXT STRAIGHT FROM POPE PIUS XI's PAPAL ENCYCLICAL. IT IS VERY VERY EASY TO BE MISLED ABOUT WHAT THE CHURCH TEACHES.

iamthelordsforever, is Mary not the mother of God? And when u say they add all kinds of extra titles to Mary in the bible that weren't there in the original versions, please show some examples. I'm not sure i understand how u mean.

where on earth are some of you people getting your facts? lol you cant be serious. You OBVIOUSLY haven't done ANY research and are only going off what someone has misled you into thinking. Open the catechism of the catholic church buddy, and have a read about what we believe about Mary and priests and Jesus before you go around spreading these ABSOLUTE RUBBISH accusations. Have the brains to research it before talking about it. God bless
I have read a great deal of the catechism, as obvious from my above text. I researched thoroughly. So, please don't doubt what I posted, it is the truth. As evidenced by the pope's viewpoints and what I have learned from other Catholics. I love and respect all people, as Jesus say we should. However, I would be remiss if I did not speak out against false doctrines, such as those of the Catholics, Jehovah's Witness', Mormon's, and the like.

Just like i showed you in my last comment brother, you have been taking one line out of a whole chapter of writing and taking it COMPLETELY out of context to make your point. this seems to be a common practice of people trying to defile the catholic church. I can do the same thing with writings from protestant writings and others. Mate, you have to read the WHOLE lot in order to make sense of that one line. 2000 years of catechesis and doctrine fits together all as one, not as little bits. God bless.

The Catholic Church has veered far from the apostolic despite their claims to the contrary; however, though a definite minority in the Catholic Church, I keep running across people who call themselves Catholics but do have a born again relationship with Jesus Christ and can intelligently communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

catholicism has too much faults.

fyi,

There is a person sometimes called "the black pope," but his existence is not a secret and he does not have anywhere near as much power as the real pope. "The black pope" is a nickname given to the Father General of the Society of Jesus. When the Jesuits were the most prestigious, influential missionary order in the world, the people of Rome began to speak jokingly of their head as a second pope. They called him "the black pope" because he wore the Jesuits' black clerical garb, in contrast to the real pope, who wore white and became known as "the white pope."

"The black pope" does not have authority over anyone but Jesuits. Sometimes people point to him as evidence of a conspiracy in the Vatican, but what they really have is a garbled understanding of a Catholic in-joke.

Pope Benedict is resigning....A black man will replace him?

"so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God shewing himself that he is God." (11Thess.2:4)
NOOOO!

Do you understand that verse you just quoted?!

" Sitting himself up in the temple, showing himself that he is God -"

That is a bad bad verse about the person who sets themselves up in the role of God.

The Pope is not a holy position at all. No offense to the catholic church but that is not a position anyone should be shooting for - especially these days.

I mean just look at how the Pope presents himself; he's a king! Getting carried around, praised, and glorified as the " Holy Father," and some divine figure. People say no he's not like God, but they treat him like he's some type of oracle - not even caring that the title of the Pope literally means " in substitution of Christ."

Popes have used their authority to change so many things in the church, overstepping God's set laws - how do you think the inquisition happened? What " holy " person would warrant the slaughtering of so many people - even people who believed in God too?!

That position has been so abused in the manipulation of people's spirituality, and the core way the churches function. That's why the resigning Pope was getting shiz for so many catholics losing faith. Men keep overstepping the authority of the church because the people allow them to - and end up being mis - lead by a false shepard ( john 10: 1 - 18)

Take a lesson from history:

The people followed the Pharisee's and believed them to be the true keepers of God's law; they were the head of the churches and studied the scriptures diligently. However, Jesus Christ himself had to come and establish God's true law even though the " leaders " of God's law at that time were already there. Jesus had to set things straight because the Pharisee's were abusing their authority and overstepping God's own established law.

That's why they crucified Jesus lol because he was letting them know who the real boss was - calling them a brood of vipers and hypocrites.

The Pope has a nice smile and a splendid reputation - but even wolves come in sheep's clothing...

God Bless

The word pope derives from Greek πάππας meaning "Father".

"Vicar of Christ"
A vicar is a representative or deputy; anyone acting "in the person of" or agent for a superior (Christ).

The bible says no one should call themselves " Father," because there is only one Father and he is in Heaven.

Vicar of Christ - the title has put Popes in the authority to speak on behalf of Christ; which is why the Catholic Church has been able to enforce whatever it's papacy dictates over the clear history of time.

An earthly representative of Christ - lol the only " representatives " of Christ were the disciples Jesus hand selected himself and entrusted with his truth. Not some mere men who somehow found a way to convince the world that Peter handed over his authority.

Seriously - just do some basic Christian history. Even catholics I've spoken to talk about the corruption of certain Popes and how that specific pope wasn't really a holy person. No. Not at all.

The Catochism is a clever way the church sugarcoats the fact that it thinks it knows the truth of God, when really they know about as much as anyone picking up the bible and reading it, and interpreting it themselves from the perspective of a mere mortal.

Only God knows the truth of his works, and until Christ himself comes to present that truth, what mere man or mere church lead by men without God's divine guidance can speak so boldly?

It can't.

Even the smaller churches without a pope; no church really has the authority to declare the truth of God unless it was established by Christ himself. Jesus Christ left his truth, but even before the apostles all died they ridiculed the early churches for already straying from the teachings of Christ.

Then after they died - the devil came and sowed his seed amongst the righteous.

You think all these Christian denominations that say they have the " truth of God," are all correct?

Of course not. The bible even predicted the rise of all the smaller non - truth having churches in Revelations. The Holy Spirit himself even speaks to the adulterous churches in Revelations to expose their unfaithful deeds to God, and the misleading they are doing to his people.

I don't understand why people don't even care to inspect their own churches; how does 850 different denominations with their OWN interpretations they say are " of God," not convince you by sheer logic to deduce that everyone can't be right.

Everyone can be wrong though.

This is why the bible says to seek the truth of God - we will never fully understand God, not even in Heaven, so how does a mere man with the title Pope suddenly have the deep revelation of God?

Where is the ACCURATE biblical support? So far I've seen people defend the Pope's stature with verses that actually detail the anti - christ, which the church manipulated to seem holy. Like literally, the verse she used said , " he will set himself as God."

What man would overstep the authority of God to set himself up as God besides a wicked spirit?

What's so obvious too is that the church can easily manipulate the people because it persuades the people to put their faith in a person than actually in God.

Because if you hold to God, Catholocism and mainstream Christianity is really contradictive and hypocritical.

And sketchy. The Catholic church completely got rid of the 2nd commandment from the ten commandments, and it's the commandment they violate the most. The priest commit unholy acts and molest children, being excused by the pope, people are taught to confess their sins to sinners, the saints and mary are prayed too when the bible says the only mediator to God is Christ and Christ only; not Jesus's physical mother nor his disciples.

The bible warns about false prophets with the authority to deceive many, and concludes with a multitude of verses about overcoming that deception and Christians whom are being lead on the path of destruction by the wolves hidden in sheep's clothing.

It's so blatantly obvious how messed up the churches are, and there is literally know accurate biblical standing that defends the Pope's authority; if anything it speaks out against the Pope's position.

On a side note - the very icon for your profile picture, a crusade shield, a red pagan cross from the blood of the slaughtered.

Yes. So holy.
