Everyone is so quick to want to hold to a works salvation that they will not see the true teachings of Christ. To beleive that water baptism does anything for your salvation is works. These are works of righteousness.

Titus 3:1-5 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
[SUP]2 [/SUP]To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Father, Son and Holy Ghost are titles. Just as mother, daughter, and sister are titles.
No, they aren't simply titles. That's the heresy of Modalism.

Baptism is in the trinitarian formula.

why the first apostles did not used the trinitarian formula for baptism?

Jesus is his name, Christ is his title. Christ is the greek word for the hebrew word messiah. Jesus the messiah would be his title. or Jesus the Christ.

It does not matter Scripture says baptised in the name of the father son and Holy Spirit. and later people were baptized in the name of the Lord. thats all.

Water baptism does not have a thing to do with our salvation anyway, so as Abiding said, Just look at what it represents. God is not going to care how you do it, just that you do it.

the important thing is being baptized with the HS, so we are not baptized with fire at the end of time.

John 10:30;

Acts 16:7

If you can't figure those two out, we have a bigger problem on our hands.

Are you a oneness pentecostal?

Jesus is the name that was given to our LORD and Saviour here in the flesh. But who was he? Jesus was and is the Word of God in the flesh.
He was also given another name. (Emmanuel)

Matthew 1:21-23 (KJV)
[SUP]21 [/SUP]And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

When something changed about a person in the Bible the LORD changed there name we see this with Abram to Abraham, Jacob to Israel, and many of the disciples names were changed by Jesus. Also we see the name of unbelievers whose names were changed. Even Lucifer was changed to Satan.
So what is so hard about the WORD of God being called by another name (Jesus, Emanuel)?
All through scripture it is the Word of God we are taught by, changed by, washed by, given life by, our health comes by the Word of God; Every thing we read is about the Word of God.

The Word says repent, and be converted. Not be plunged in the river and be converted.

Acts 3:19 (KJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

lol.. But Jesus said to baptize in the name of the father son and spirit. so if it does matter, those baptised in those to verses got it wrong. Because they just did it in the name of the Lord

Or else it does not matter. And it does not.

It will not save you. God looks at the heart, not at detail.

True but God cant be divided. Like i said at the begnning the Father draws,
the Son provided the payment to redeem you, and the Holyspirit did the work
to bring you to repentance and reveal the gospel.

See How salvation is the work of all three?
