Genesis 2
19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field.

These are extinct, but I sure would have liked to see one.
It's called a helicoprion, but nobody knows exactly what they looked like.

Quite a while but it would've been good fun. "Next animal... you will be called 'salt-water crocodile'. Next! You will be known as 'black mamba'. Next! Come on, we don't have all day! Okay, you will be called 'snail', for you are slow of speed." :p

The elephant vid. would have inspired C.S. Lewis to add a book to his Chronicles series.

I wish I knew what the original language sounded like, and what the names were in that language. As far as I know, whatever language Adam spoke was the only language until the Tower of Babel. I wonder if it's an ancient language we know about or if it was lost to us completely after the Tower of Babel.

Wow! That's incredible. I wonder how long it took them to train the elephant. It has pretty good dexterity.

Favorite animals:
- After watching The Land Before Time I became fascinated with dinosaurs, specifically Apatosaurus. I want a pet Apatosaurus so that I can slide down its back...Weeeeeeeeeee.

- Horses are such graceful creatures. Nothing beats horseback riding on a cool summer day.
- Peafowls are so beautiful. Why do they look like they're going to a fashion show?

- Dolphins because they are quite intelligent and sociable.

Christians are called to be weird in our 'normal' fallen society. And having the name Christian only makes that weirdness doubly appropriate. I'm okay with being weird. Good show!

Racoons are one of my favorate animals.
They look so playful and cute, and when caught doing something, they just stop and are still, as though if they dont move they wont be seen. :)
I heard noises outside our kitchen one night, and went to check as lately, several things had been found removed and found out at the back of our yard near the fence.
I was standing under a tree as I looked over the yard, when a noise caught my attention, there above me were three sweet ittle baby racoons, all looking very guilty and fearful.
There little faces watching mine.
Now I figured momma may be near so I quickly made my way back into the house. :)
But those three racoons remain in my memory, for the sweetness of their tiny furry bodies and the look of a child caught in the cookie jar upon their faces.
Those little masks they have must be God's humor shared. :)

God bless

DOG, also known as doggy and often treated as 'master'.

I'm not a big dog person but I have to admit they probably come closest as to a living example of God's faithfulness through thick and thin.
