which is why I tried to show the whole context of romans.. you do not just take two and separate it from the rest of the letter.

Paul is NOT saying those who try to do Gods will will be saved, he is saying those who are saved do his will (again take james)

all over scripture it says we are not saved by works. this would put them under works, and not only this but law.

again. God knows by the HS who will be positive to his leading. he will get the gospel to whoever he KNOWS will accept it as gospel truth. No one be in heaven who did not trust the redeemer to take their sin for them.. Many will be in hell who tried to do the very thing you are speaking of. thinking this alone could save them.
I was told that it is not wise to speak about those who never heard of the Gospel. Some people are not offered that salvation. I am done.

This is a biblical forum right?
If any Jew had a heart for Jehovah, God would draw Him to Jesus. Period.
If a Jew has a hard heart towards God whether playing religion or not then he will lose his soul period.
There is not another option.
Not according to Romans 11:8. All Scripture is the Word of God so the road to truth lies in finding ways to reconcile passages that appear to conflict. Truth is not in finding a reason why verses don't mean what they say.

1Co 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Zone,

My emphasize is on enlightenment (to be shown). If all man are not shown the Light, spiritually speaking, then those who never heard of Christ, can accuse God of being unjust. We know that the administration of the Spirit is to turn a sinner around to the Light, again, spiritually speaking. We also know that the Spirit speaks to the world. For those who never heard, they too will be without excuse by rejecting the beckoning of the Spirit to turn to the Light (Jesus).
I could explain it to you, and clearly, but to do so here would just lead to more vituperous accusations of heresy.

When I was on the Baptist forum, I foolishly quoted a verse of Scripture to a group of pastors. One of those worthy gentlemen immediately responded with, "Therapon, you ar a heretic!" I had to remind the brother that it was not heresy to quote the Bible.

Umm,

If a verse is out of context and is misused it sure can be a heresy. Satan misquotes and misuses scripture. Just because one does quote scripture it doesn't mean they are righting dividing the Word.

No it's not! It's an "agree with my doctrine or you're a heretic" forum.
nah.... obviously since you both are still around (neither having been banned) that is not true.............

hmmm interesting, pretty sure it was not the Scriptures he was objecting to but your use of them..... I do wonder what you two are still "discussing"

Hey didnt you put up a fuss (against my post on election, elect etc) and say that elect meant the same thing (salvation) each time its used? Yes you did. So in that case, those are the implications of your position.
No I did not, I carefully spelled out that the conjunction "but" showed opposing thoughts: enemies "but" elect, which indeed does indicate salvation, though not necessarily for all. But believe me, I'm not going to get into some rediculous spitting contest over election. I'll say it once more for your peace of mind: Not all Jews are saved, Old Testament or New. But many Jews in both eras are saved. Devout O.T Jews are looking for their biblical Messiah. We are also looking for our Messiah, but because we have the New Testament, we know the Messiah for us both to be Jesus.

Now that doesn't work if we're stuck in Replacement Theology. But events in the Holy Land of 1948 and 1967, that we can see with our own eyes, cannot honestly be denied. So like it or not, God is still dealing with physical Israel, the Jewish people.

ya think?

1 John 2:22
Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist--denying the Father and the Son.

1 John 2:23
No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

1 John 4:2
This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God

1 John 4:3
but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

1 John 5:1
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.

2 John 1:7
I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

John 8
We have one Father—even God.” 42Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me. 43Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word. 44You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me. 46Which one of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me? 47 Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”

My apologies for the wrongful identification. <grin> I should have said, "people in the forum."

As to what we were discussing? Beats me. I write something and the roof falls in, that's all I know.

I already understand. I understand it is not wise to talk about how those who never had heard about Jesus are intentionly left out of salvation because not every one is offered salvation. I say this in the most resounding negative way I can. Paster **** said the same thing. If one has not heard about Jesus they will not have salvation. I am done.

True, and I left that kind of ungody behviour behind me 35 years ago. Teachers receive a harsher judgnentei, you know, so I fear departing from the truth or leading the Lord's precious sheep astray more than anything else on earth.

Well, I'm kinda sad. when I first saw this thread, I went and restudied Daniel, so I wouldn't sound ignorant. I was excited, because, I love to talk about bible prophecy. However, I see that this thread has greatly deviated from it's subject and probably too late to talk about why chapter 5 should have been after chapter 8 and also how detailed the prophecies were of the wars between Syria and Egypt. Talking about Bernice and Cleopatra. Oh well.

Why would one child try to expose another they consider to be false? Unless it is to get the attention off from themselves. A wonderful, but yet fruitless, slight of hands.

In Burma, there was a tribe of people called the Karen who worshiped the God Y’wa. Their prophets declared they had once possessed a book of the law that had been lost many centuries before. Sacred songs passed down from generation to generation, reminded them of their lost law:

Omnipotent is Y’wa; Him
have we not believed.

Y’wa created men anciently.
He has a perfect knowledge of all things.
Y’wa created men at the beginning.
The earth is the treading place for the feet of Y’wa.
And heaven is the place where He sits.

He sees all things and we are manifest to Him.

Y’wa formed the earth originally.
He appointed food and drink.
He appointed the “fruit of trial.”
Mu-kaw-lee deceived two persons.
He causes them to eat of the fruit of the tree of trial.
They obeyed not; they believed not Y’wa ...

They became subject to sickness, aging and death ...
O children and grandchildren,
If we repent of our sins,
And cease to do evil -
restraining our passions -

And pray to Y’wa. He will have mercy upon us again.
If Y’wa does not have mercy on us,
there is no other one who can.

He who saves us is the only one - Y’wa.
O Children and grandchildren!
Pray to Y’wa constantly.
By day and by night.

According to doctrines of some, generations of Karen went to hell because they didn’t spell Jehovah’s name right or come to Jesus, but how do you think our crucified Lord “who died, not for our sins only, but the sins of the whole world? looked upon those dear people?
