Eating cold kheer directly taken out from fridge is also very good hence ice and rice! If soda is bad for me, why did you stopped? instead i should stop drinking it. :p
and yes, i do drink water mostly, tea rarely though.

Soda has way too much sugar...your cells run at high sugar levels once you keep adding that huge amount of soda sugar in you feel "tired" when you don't have that sugar in your blood....so you need to drink more soda to keep you "energized" it's just a bad cycle...
Soda's are bad for your kidneys, they can lead to kidney stones believe it or not...and also they contain phosphates (dark colored sodas like Coca-cola especially) these are not good for your kidneys (lead to stones) and also make your bone density thinner (erode your bones/calcium)....Plus you lose weight when you stop drinking sodas....there is my speech on sodas...
What kind of kheer? Down where I live we call it pysum (sounds like pie-sum) but it's a type of milky/buttery kheer with either rice or long thin angel hair pasta/noodles...really good to taste...not so much health wise...:)

  • Dear Ultimatum77,

  • To muy amigos:-
  • Here is my ultimate reply to you, lol!! actually I never drank soda, whereas for coca cola- indeed it is very bad for health but i erased it from my drink list since i got to know the chemicals contents. you are a chemistry student, I admit!
  • it is indian rice pudding, lol but nice to meet pysum too :D In fact, when you said soda are bad for you ( I interpret as me) then you stopped because of me. you getting the sense of the sentence now? that's why I was kidding!
  • how many kheer varieties exist? And yes, eating unbalanced meal isn't wise at all even if it is sweet or good to taste

I would rather have a pizza.
Pizza -- Healthy Style
(Warning: Hubby makes this, so I don't know how long it takes to bake other than I'm not drooping on the floor salivating and dying of hunger waiting, so I think 5-20 minutes, and leaning toward 10ish.)

Take 1 pita bread, place it on the sheet or grill, depending on how you want to bake it, and brush olive oil on the top side. (I think he wipes canola oil on the grill, so it doesn't stick.)

Slice tomato and crowd it on the pita, making sure it's far enough off the edge to not slip off when baking.

Top with your choice of herbs. If its summertime, we're most likely to add fresh basil, but have been known to add lavender or sage too. (Yeah. Lavender. Amazing taste. A little sweet, but not too.) If the flowers are blooming on your herbs use those, because that is twice as potent -- taste wise -- as the leaves. In winter, we use dried herbs.

I'm not really a vegetarian/vegan/etc., so I don't know if dairy is out, but next cover it with shredded cheese. (Again, not so much that it drips off the side when it melts.) If it is out, then it's not pizza. It's a tomato pie.

Bake until it looks like what you expect a pizza to look like -- a little browning on the edges, the tomato is grilled, and, if you have it, the cheese is bubbling and browning.

If summertime, once plated add a top sprig of basil. It will kind of droop onto the pie, while you wok up the guts to eat it without burning your mouth. Each person can decide if they want to shred the basil on top or eat as-is.

(I have never met a junk-food, hubby or I can't turn into something healthy and just as yummy. lol)

How can boiled carrots be raw? :p
Step 1: Boil raw carrots.
Step 2: Take them out of the water too soon.

I didn't know messing up food was so difficult for some. I'm very good at doing it. (I've burnt water and fried eggs that ended up having the whites black yet the yolks were still raw. It's a talent. lol)

My veggie contribution.

Preheat oven to 425F.

Slice one apple to the thickness you would if it were apple pie.
Slice one medium-sized onion.
Add brussel sprouts. (Three ingredients, so the brussel sprout is one-third of the ingredients. I won't say how many that is since they come in different sizes as do apples, but eyeball it.)
Spray cooking oil on an aluminum-foiled covered cookie sheet. (Preferably with sides, since brussel sprouts do roll.)

Bake for 25 minutes.

Okay yea when I say your/you it's an expression used to mean a person....I'm not literally saying you need to stop coca-cola just saying that I did...i know sometimes language can be confusing...:) I see how you could think I was talking to you....i was not....just showing how coca-cola can be bad for you and how it affects your body....whether you want to drink cocacola or other soda's is up to you...it's your life after all :)

There are different types /recipes for kheer hot or cold, rice/ pasta it all depends on the person, where they grew up as to differences in recipes but most of them are dairy based porridge/oatmeal type of food (kheer). I like cinnamon, raisins, milk, butter, and rice all cold (what i call pysum) it's great for breakfast/dessert and deliciously sweet...similar to oatmeal with cinnamon raisins and milk (just without the oatmeal but rice instead)...

For raw, and/or vegan, while not necessary, a good blender, a dehydrator, a food processor and coffee grinder, and a steamer go a long way. As far as ingredients, it is really just a matter of substituting any processed foods and animal products/foods with unprocessed and vegan alternatives. In most cases they are excellent substitutes available.
Some of it can really be tasty. And the upside is that on a diet like that, it is near impossible to can weight, and usually a person's skin, no matter how bad or good it was before, improves quite a bit. Also, usually energy levels improve, as well as clarity of thought and a more sensitive spirit.

"...it is near impossible to can weight...".
I am sure you all realize it, but just to confirm, I meant to say it is near impossible to gain weight, on that type of diet, not "...can weight...".

Make yogurt that's considered raw since it's never heated above 165......but it's not vegan lol
I'll be happy to share the recipe if you wish though JosephDreams.
Been making yogurt too...not knowing its raw=). Why, then i came across this coconut ygurt from that karenluvslife website. Looks so creamy, and so informative also for she explains the coco yogurt benefits as well. So easy too if u use canned gata, as we call it, but freshly extracted gata is also common here.
