Not sure about the expert bit @Ruby123 :giggle:...But I have learned a lot on my 8 year journey , and still learning...Low carbs is defo the way to go for everyone , and is the cure for many sickness...I have gone from being a full blown type 2 diabetic to Pre-diabetic...All deceases love sugar , and high carbs turn to sugar , the sickness in the body is fed by the sugar...

Since being Keto/Carnivore , I have lost 22lbs of unhealthy fat from my body in the last 19 months...xox...

@Ruby123 ...I forgot to mention...Most people because of the sugars in food , especially high carb food are Insulin resistant , and they do not even know it...This is a main factor that leads to being type 2 diabetic...People should ask for this blood test , it is so important...xox...

thanks for the info. I guess I am a lazy cook and would find keto difficult but I usually eat quite healthy though. I will look into it though. I have been eating almonds and dried mango which is very yummy when I feel like something sweet rather than turning to anything sugary. I dont have to lose weight, just maintain it would be good.

Keto is cheap...You are hardly cook but can prepare meals for days a head in one sitting :giggle:...You will end up eating less , and the good fats like Olive oil , Avocado oil , grass fed butter , eggs , meats will give you energy , rather than running off glucose from the high carbs...

Look up Dr M Berry , all is info is free on YouTube...Another great one is a Christian man named Dennis Pollock , I hope you find these useful...xox...

Well it does get easier , but temptations are many a long the way...I am now wearing a CGM on my arm , that gives me live readings to what is going on with my sugar levels...In the UK , these are given free to type 1 diabetics , but not for type 2...They cost £48 for one that lasts for 2 weeks , but for now , I need it to help me stay on track...If I eat something that raises my sugar , it will let me know , then I can remove the food...The Lord is my strength , I will not fail :):coffee:
