I would like to know if there are any vegans or raw foodists on here??? Or maybe anyone who is implementing a large majority of raw/ living foods in their diet. If you are someone who is or have in the past, please post some awesome raw/living food recipes here.

Almond Date Balls

1 ½ cups almonds, soaked and dehydrated (or use dry, unsoaked)
½ cups walnuts, soaked and dehydrated (or use dry, unsoaked)
1 ½ cup dates
¼ teaspoon almond extract
½ cups dried cherries or raisins

Grind ½ cup of the almonds into a fine powder and set aside.

In a food processor outfitted with an “S” blade, process remaining almonds and the walnuts until coarsely ground. Add the dates and almond extract and process until the mixture sticks together. Add the cherries or raisins and pulse to mix.

Form the mixture into tablespoon size balls and roll in the powdered almonds.

Refrigerate for 2 hours to set.

i like to eat vegan when i can and a couple of years ago i stayed with a raw food vegan for a few weeks, she made me some delicious things..one thing i especially remember was a blueberry ''cheese'' cake..no idea what was in it but it was fantastic..also she did these aubergine (eggplant) slices marinated in soy sauce and then dehydrated they were awesome i was often fighting temptation not to scoff the lot of them when she was at work :D i remember a raw chilli which WAS nice but raw onion is still something that i find a bit over-powering and can taste hours later. she used a dehydrator a lot and also used an industrial blender a lot, it all seemed quite mysterious and i dont have recipes for you i just thought i'd share those thoughts with you. i did go fruitarian for about 6 weeks one summer which was nice but as soon as autumn came we wanted cooked root vegetables again! what i tend to do is add some of the ingrediant raw at the end of cooking, for example if i make a rattatouille i might add some raw spinach and tomatoes at the end of cooking, that works well with teenagers who will totally ignore a side salad of spinach and tomato but not notice it in the dish! :D

Hi - I'm including a lot more raw foods in my diet due to a few health problems. This week I've blended some spinach for a green drink..the taste wasn't too bad and I didn't need fruit in it. Does anyone know if silver beet has the same nutrients as spinach? I've cut out the processed bread and included barley cereal and rye flat bread to use for salad. Find it hard not to have cheese ...love it!.. Any other ideas greatly appreciated..
